One for the hard working guys…

IMG_3494

Well how time does get away between posts.

I have used a free digi from Birdie Brown coloured using markers (SU Lucky Limeade, Midnight Muse, Tim Holtz Antique linen – my substitute for crumb cake!). I moved the colour around with my aqua marker before fussy cutting and popping up with foam tabs. I die cut an Ezy press cog die and used a lifestyle crafts nesting circle to cut out the centre in SU whisper white. This is all fixed to a crumb cake card front embossed using SU stripes embossing folder. I have also die cut MFT tool charms in midnight muse.  The sentiment is from ABS Lil Monster’s Balloon.

I am linking this upto the following challenges

SC 065/12 + JAI 141

I am linking this card upto two challenges SC 065/12 and JAI 141

and

It is handy to have a sympathy card on hand for when the need arises.

I have used SBB kraft cardstock (similar to SU crumb cake) along with SU Very Vanilla and Wisteria Wonder Card stock – embossed with SU Elegant bouquet. I used SU ink and markers to colour my images before stamping. I used Versafine Onyx black to stamp my sentiment from PTI Mega Mixed Messages onto very vanilla cut with Lifestyle Crafts nesting oval scallop. The border die is from American Crafts Knock outs and the ribbon is seam binding ribbon from Kaszazz.

Miss 7 is all OK – but has stayed home from school today just in case.

Just Add Ink Challenge JAI131 and Sunny Challenges SC54/12

I am entering this card in two challenges.

Just add ink JAI 131

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/

and

http://sunnychallenges.blogspot.com.au/

I started with a Very Vanilla card base. I turned the sketch upside down. I cut a piece of crumb cake cardstock which I Magical Masked with SU Garden Green ink. I added a torn piece of Chocolate Chip card stock to the bottom section of the card and wrapped a piece of household twine around it. I stamped a truck from SU I dig You and cut out and added to card top. I then stamped the dirt using crumb cake ink and added to the tray of the truck. I hadn’t tried Magical Masking Technique before making this card.

Thanks for stopping and taking a peek.

Just Add Ink 130, Sunny Challenges SC 053/12 and Scrapbook Boutique August Challenge

I have decided to combine three challenges for this card. I have made this for a friend’s birthday in a few weeks – don’t think she reads this so I shouldn’t spoil the surprise!

Just Add Ink Blue & Bling!

“All a Flutter – Add a butterfly”

http://scrapbookboutiquenews.blogspot.com.au/2012/08/a-new-challenge-has-started.html

I used SU Pacific Point cardstock, Bashful Blue and Brights DSP Pattern stack to make the general card base. I stamped the butterfly from SU Sweet Summer onto white cardstock. I die cut butterflies using SU Embosslits Beautiful Wings and Grace Taylor shimmer sheets & SU Pacific point cardstock. I positioned my butterflies onto my card and added rhinestones to the centre  for “bling”. The sentiment panel was stamped with Versa fine Onyx Black using SU Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set onto Sizzlits Lots of Tags Label 1.

Another busy week ahead.  A combination of school closure day, half day school, class helper and the normal things that have to be done. I also must finish my eldest daughter’s dress for her formal on Friday! Almost there.

Just Add Ink Challenge 129 and Buttons Colour Challenge

Thought I’d combine these two challenges. First time I have inked up this stamp set SU Pedal Presents.

I stamped the bike image and basket of flowers using versa fine onyx black. I coloured the bike and flowers using Marvy Le Plume Magenta, Salvia Blue, Blue and Leaf Green. I used a blender pen to blend colours where needed. I used a blending tool to add SU old olive and SU Bashful Blue to the white card stock. I used liquid pearls white opal for the flower centres. The little birds where stamped onto green cardstock  and then added to the bottom of the panel their wings are colured in leaf green. I adhered this to dark blue cardstock from my stash. This was then added to a second layered piece of dark blue and light blue cardstock from my stash. The flower was cut from light blue cardstock and magenta cardstock using PTI Beautiful Blooms dies finished with a light blue button from AnnaBelle Stamps and Blossom twine from the The Twinery.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Cheers
