Something to indulge

IMG_3513

I saw this little notebook over at lawn fawn http://lawnfawn.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/mini-journals-with-nicole.html and made a little adjustment to the measurements to convert to metric + I sewed my pages rather than stapled them. I stamped my inside (plain computer) paper (10 x 14 cm) with ABS Garden Silhouettes using SU ink. I used the inspiration from a Topic Tuesday at Stamp Embellish Create using plain accetate sheet and blue tack to hold in place while I stamped. I was inspired when I first saw the stationery stamped like this on the original post.  http://www.annabellestamps.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/topical-tuesday-61-spring-stationery-set.html

The cardstock is SU Floral District, the brad is from my stash and the twine is WeRMK yellow baker’s twine.

Some of the inside pages before I sewed them in.

Anything Goes

Thank you for all the lovely comments and tips. I don’t always reply to every individual comment, but rest assured I do read everyone and enjoy doing so. They often bring a smile or a chuckle.

Coming up for a long weekend here. A few jobs planned – a much needed trip to the hairdresser and new tyres for the car. Hopefully I will find some crafty time as there is no sport/kids activities this weekend.

Thanks for stopping – until next time

Cheers

Vicki

  1. Hi Vicki what an awesome project! Love how it closes in the front and sewing the pages was a good idea rather than stapling. I’ll have to check out that acetate technique because the pages are gorgeous and just perfect for that Moxiefab challenge. Thanks for joining us this week at Through The Craftroom Door and good luck!

    1. Thank you. Came together quickly once I was set up and had made some decisions. I found it easiest to use a separate block for each image and just kept adding until I was happy.
