Happy Friday
Lots of pics to share today.

Muse Challenge #80
Therese inspired me to make this.
which I am also linking up to the challenge at Jane’s Doodles – Summer Themed Card – A little out of the box for Summer – Summer Flowers?
I used Jane’s Doodles Doodle Flower II inked with PTI, SU and memento tuexedo black inks. I used an aqua pen for the leaves. The card front and sentiment are popped up with foam tabs. I used grey for the outline over the pink – it is a little hard to see in the pics.
I had intended to link these little book labels up to the challenge at Jane’s Doodles – but realised the challenge was for a card.
One of the things I usually do over summer is read.

I used Jane’s Doodles Read All about and Flying High (the sun). I stamped onto SU Whisper white cardstock 5cm x 9cm each with various inks and others coloured with alcohol markers. I also sponged a few with ink and sponge tool.
The back of the label has a small amount of double sided tape which will make adhering to the inside of a book easy.
I intend to use this set a lot to make labels for books – hopefully they will find their way home that way. I think my book club friends would like a little set each.
Little Miss A (9) is trying out for the school athletics team so I’m off to watch.
Have a great weekend
Thanks for stopping to visit.
Cheers
Vicki
Beautiful card for the Muse challenge Vicki! Just perfect too for the summer challenge you are entering. I just love those book inserts too! Thanks so much for sharing, as I hadn’t heard of Jane’s Doodles – that has now changed lol! I’ve just now purchased that stamp set – SSS Sept card kit is also about books, so they will pair together really well.
Thank you Ann. They are lovely stamps you wont be disappointed. I saw SSS card kit had similar theme – I look forward to seeing your creations.
Vicki these are all so wonderful! Great choice of flowers on your HB card and those book labels, what can I say, I would have loved these when I was covering my text books… but I suppose it’s all computers and white boards now (recently I had an ‘aha’ moment when I found out that chalk boards are no longer in school rooms…)
Thanks Therese. A lot of the kids text books are ebooks, but we still have heaps of books at our house. Ms A (9) still uses exercise books – for the time being any way. I’m thinking of labels for novels that tend to get shared around a lot more. Particularly if you want a book to come home again.
Beautiful card 🙂 those book labels are such a cool idea !
Oh, what a pretty floral card and adorable book labels! I love them all!
Beautiful take on this week’s Muse! I love the outlines showing through the pink! So glad you joined us this week!
Liking the grey with the pink for a softer effect. Great take on this week’s Muse
