Hello
I had some time to create this card the other day for the current Challenge at Uniko.
I used Uniko Bright Butterflies dies partially cut on my card front and layered with SU tempting turquoise cs.
I used a Sizzix dimensional cutting plate – it dies cut as normal but leaves the bit in the middle uncut allowing me to pop up the butterfly wings. Very effective.
Here is a side pic
Monday saw most go back to school after the holiday break. I mixed working from home and school holidays. I didn’t get all my usually trips to zoos and parks in and had hardly any crafting time, not really sure how but 2 weeks just disappeared!
Ms 18 is on study break and in a few weeks she will have exams. Next year she is planning to transfer to another campus of the same University to do a double degree.
I don’t know about any one reading this but I feel like this year is flying by 🙂
Thanks for taking the time to stop by
Cheers
Vicki
I have been looking longingly at this new butterfly die, and can see how effective it is in your card! Dimension on a card always adds something special! Yes, this year is flying by – it is ever so at this time of the year, I feel. Congrats to your Miss 18 – she must be working very well to consider a double degree – congrats again on her maturity! Our 20 year-old grandson is in his second year at uni, and it is wonderful to see the maturity he is now showing to his studies – it does take a little while for some to realise the impact it will have on them down the track. We all wish the best for the young these days – life isn’t getting easier anywhere! I’ll be back next month – hugs, Ann
Yes … This year is just disappearing!! I feel sad in some ways … Cos my baby (16yrs) will only have 2 more years of school & then that part of my life (26yrs schooling in total over 5 kids) will be over!! Love that die, Vicki! Not sure what you meant with the dimensional cutting plate … Will have to go and investigate! Hugs xxx
That will be a great effort. I think my total school will be 22 years for 4 kiddos a little short on your 26 years. The dimensional cutting plate is one I picked up in Spotlight last week it is Tim Holtz Sizzix one which has a grove in the middle. I’ll try and load a pic in my next post.
Thanks for the info … Will keep my eye out for one! It’s so effective!
