Some new Butterflies…

Hello

Well most of my children have started back at school, Hubby and I have gone back to work after the Christmas school holidays.

I made this card for a friend’s recent birthday.

I used SU Butterfly Basics stamp set and Butterfly thinlits dies. The inks and markers I used are Encore Silver, SU crumb cake and blushing bride. I die cut the butterfly from SU pink pirouette CS and some white shimmery paper (not sure where that one came from). The card front is on foam tabs and finished with some clear sequins from the trimmings and remnants.

I was inspired by this card here.

A short post today – I have a little bit of work and catching up to do.

Thanks for stopping for a visit.

Cheers

Vicki

  1. Love those layered flowers in the background, I’ll bet your friend adored it! I’m off to work soon myself…. just sneaking in a little blog catch up time now that the power has come back on grrrr.

  2. A really gorgeous card Vicki! I have the butterfly dies, but now I’m thinking there is a lot in the stamp set too – you have shown how lovely they both are together. Have a great year, all you busy people! My husband and I do appreciate how lucky we are now that we’ve retired – doing just as we please. But I worked full-time till 60, so feel I’ve done my ‘time’ lol! hugs Ann xx

    1. Thank you Ann. I like the mix of stamps in this set – a lot of possibilities.
You definately have done your time. Amazing to work full time and have a family. We made the choice for me to work part time (be it 2 part time jobs) before that I was a stay at home mum.
