Hello
Since my last post we have played the netball Grand Final. The girls did a great job. It was a draw which meant they went into overtime. Very bad for the nerves! At the last score the girl’s lost by 2. It was a great game.
I went to a craft fair here in Melbourne last weekend where I caught up with a few people some of which I follow on line and one I got to meet in person for the very first time. I bumped into the owners of a bricks and mortar store which they have since closed so it was nice to chat with them. I only purchased a couple of small items, the items on my wishlists weren’t available there. So hubby was happy when I got home.
Today little Ms 10 ran in the district 800m. She was so spent at the end a great effort – she finished 8th.
Anyway I am sure you came to visit to see my card not hear me waffle
Today I am sharing a card I am linking up to the Uniko Challenge Summer here with the twist of the following pic.
For me Summer means a lot of things, but having 3 girls birthdays in the first few days of Summer (2nd, 3rd & 7th December) it means birthdays. As they also seem to have lots of friend’s birthdays around the same time.
I used Uniko Balloon Bash stamped using PTI Raspberry Fizz ink. I got the colour variations by stamping off the colour. I used the sentiment from Uniko Classic numbers stamped in SU smokey slate ink. The word “Happy” was die cut and layered using SU Hello You thinlits. All this was mounted onto a piece of pink cardstock.
A little closer
Thanks for stopping
Cheers
Vicki
Superb ombre effect you’ve created by stamping off, the balloons look fab. Thanks for joining in at Uniko.
Thanks Jane
Vicki, this is a super effect – love those balloons, the gorgeous ink colour and the repetition of an image is so ‘on trend’ lol! You will be able to create this card in so many different colour designs for all those birthdays in December! Can you beat 24 December though? My daughter born on that day is coming up to 45 (gosh that is a long time ago!) but we nearly always celebrate her birthday with Christmas visitors from overseas or interstate – so she has been fortunate to feel ‘special’ in spite of her birth date! Sorry I missed you at the last show – I hope to get to one in Oct in Caulfield – let me know if you plan to go – we may be able to catch up! I’d love that!
Thanks Ann. Christmas eve would be so busy and good for you to make her birthday special.
Not sure about Caulfield – it would be lovely to catch up 🙂
As usual just reading about your busy life has made me exhausted, I don’t know how you do it lol. LOVE your hidden sentiment in the balloons, and the ombre colour scheme totally adds that extra special touch!
Thanks Therese. Sometimes it takes me a few days to get started on a project doing a bit here and there. Lucky I have a space I can leave while I do other things.
Such a FUN birthday card! Great use of the balloon set. Thanks for playing along with the Uniko challenge!
Thanks Nicki

Thanks Deb.

Thanks Andrea.
WOW! Fabulous stamping and love the colours of pink you have used. Sounds like you have been having a busy yet lovely time with family and friends. Thanks for sharing and joining in on the Uniko Challenge. My apologies in my delay in stopping by and commenting. Hugs Bev x
