Playing with Kaisercraft Le Chateau …

Hello

I hope the Easter bunny found you and you are all recovering from over eating chocolate goodies.

Today I am sharing two cards

I am linking to the following challenges

Scrapbook Boutique – March Mood Board here

and

Unstampabelles – Keys to success here

 My first card for SBB

sbb march 2016 (480x640)

I started with Kaisercraft Le Chateau 6″ paper pad and added Mpress Birdcage die cut in both foam and black cardstock along with an Elizabeth Craft Design bird die.  I finished with a stamped “21” from Uniko Classic numbers.  This card is for a 21st this weekend where the gift is a budgie in a cage.

My second card

unstampable march 2016 (497x640)

Whilst flicking through the paper pad I thought this paper was perfect for the Unstampabelles current challenge.  What better mark of success that reaching the ripe old age of 21 (again!)? As Ms E had requested a number of cards I thought this would be great for a male 21st card.  I added die cut “21” from SU Large Numbers Framelits, “st” from Lifestyle Crafts and the “birthday” from PTI. Die cuts from black cardstock and foam.  This card unfortunately isn’t going to the intended recipient.  The birthday boy is only 20! I am a year to early.  I wonder if this is what Darnell had in mind for her upcoming boo boo challenge? Anyway I am sure it wont get wasted – there is bound to be a male 21st not to far away.

On another note I appear to be having issues with my blog reader.  If I have missed visiting you I apologise.  I am working on the issue and hope it is resolved soon.

Until next time

Cheers

Vicki

  1. I laughed (with you) about the 21st card when the recipient is still only 20 – you are so busy, that was an easy mistake to make, but I applaud your promptness in making the card, even before you knew all the details! Yes, that’s definitely bound for Darnell’s Boo Boo challenge I’d say! It is a great card, and will no doubt be snapped up soon!
Your SBB challenge card is super Vicki – ideal for the current mood board, but also for the gift to accompany it! The little blue bird is gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Scrapbook Boutique this month!

    1. Thanks Ann. For some reason I had it in my head it was a 21st – there has been a run of them! And yes it will get used some where. Glad to make you laugh – you obviously can fully understand the situation 🙂

  2. Fabulous cards Vicki! I love how you’ve interpreted the moodboards and that you’ve coordinated your card and gift. Thank you so much for joining us at Scrapbook Boutique. Louise xo

  3. Both your cards are so wonderful Vicki, looks like you have been having some Kaisercraft Le Chateau fun! So happy that you could share with us at Scrapbook Boutique too!

  4. I am so glad I am not the only one that gets so busy I can’t remember which day it is! Giggle … I laughed at your mistake! I just got the Large Numbers too! Can’t wait to use them! (Have already played with Leonie’s at a stamping retreat at her place … and made an 18th for my Sandy – April birthday! … and yes …. he will be 18! … Although I can’t believe it! 🙂 ) Love the pop of the blue bird! Hugs xxx

  5. What a fabulous card – love the key paper and thanks for entering it with us at Unstampabelles. I too love the other card and the pop of blue. I make this type of mistake all the time – I think it comes with age – they don’t like to be though older at this stage but just wait a few years, then they will appreciate having a year or two hacked off their true age! Anyway, you have so many people you are making cards for, this one can go in the storage bin for a few weeks and will be bound to be useful quite soon.

  6. Great creativity! – thanks for joining us at The Unstampabelles this month. Please join us for our next challenge too.

  7. What a perfect card to accompany the gift of a budgie Vicki – I’m sure both card and bird were a big hit. Thanks for joining us at the Scrapbook Boutique March Challenge and I look forward to seeing your work again next month.
