Hello
Today we had a small family celebratory lunch for one of my husband’s brothers who recently turned 50.
He is a teacher so Papersmooches Smarty pants seemed the right choice. I coloured the pencils with alcohol markers after stamping with memento tuxedo black ink. Ms A (11) had a lot of fun directing me to which combinations I should use! The sentiments are from Papersmooches Digits and the numbers are die cut using Papersmooches Numbers die. The sentiment was originally to be one panel but you may have guessed I needed to seperate to fit on the card front. What was that my Dad use to say? “measure twice cut once!” Anyway I’m sure if I didn’t mention you would all think this is how I intended the card to be.
I am linking this up to Kathy’s 30 day colour challenge here
and Virginia’s View Challenge here
Last week I had 2 occasions for sympathy cards.
I used Inspired by stamping Big Notes III and SU Botanical Builder Framelits.
In my last post I mentioned a recent trip to Bendigo.
Here is a pic of my purchase at Bendigo Woollen Mills…
At some time in the future a jumper for me, a cardi for Ms E and 3 pairs of socks. The light grey is the new Savanna, the darker grey is Aurora and sock yarn (one undyed and 2 dyed). My current knitting project is a jumper for Ms A (11) in BWM Bold Bamboo Rouge.
Until next time
Cheers
Vicki
Two lovely cards Vicki! Really like the elegant sympathy design. Looks like your fingers are going to be very busy……perfect weather to be knitting though 😉
Thanks Sue. Yes no promises to when they will be knitted! 🙂
The coloured pencils look terrific! And the wool looks lovely, I like the greys.
Thanks Dianne.
Sad to say that I have used the sympathy cards that I have made myself already too… yours are so beautiful Vicki, the white die cut flower on the white bases, it’s perfect!
Thanks Therese. Sad to hear your need for these cards so soon.
Super 50th birthday card, beautiful sympathy cards and a lovely collection of wool which I know you will make into fabulous garments! Sorry I’m late with my comment – been away from home:)
