Hello
I realised I haven’t shared this card which I made for a 21st a few days ago.
I am linking up to the current challenge at Seize the Birthday here
I used Penny Black wonderful coloured with alcohol markers. The grass is from SU thoughtful branches with a little masking. I die cut the stamplorations “happy” and PTI “birthday” from the SU confetti celebration paper showing the emerald green beneath. The coloured panel is popped up with foam tabs and there is just a hint of glitter on the balloon.
Now to co ordinate the gift bag I used the same patterned paper and my gift bag punch board and made the largest bag. It was a perfect fit for the present. Ms E used a bulldog clip to attach the card to the bag and also keep the bag closed!
I have been busy knitting. I am almost finished sewing up Ms A’s jumper. One seam to go.
I have knitted one dog coat for the lost dog’s home and started a second one.
I can’t take the credit for all of these…
One of the lovely ladies from my Wednesday library group knitted 4 dog jackets in a week! Thank you Margaret. I will take those in to the Lost Dog’s Home with mine.
Until next time
Cheers
Vicki
Great card Vicki love that you matched it with a gift bag too!
You are a busy bee all that knitting you are amazing.
Thanks Sue. I have a plan to use some pattern paper – no more bought gift bags if I can manage it. The knitting keeps my hands busy at netball and swimming. Can’t take all the credit one of the lovely ladies has been busier than me.
Fun card and image. Love the background too. Thanks for playing along with us at Seize the Birthday!
Thanks.
Very cute birthday card and I’m with you in using pattern paper for gift bags! I was originally in awe of hand made bags, but now know how easy they are, thanks to Pootles in UK for her wonderful videos:) Great dog coats – I once knitted one in Hawthorn colours for our poodle – but only the one:) You are much kinder than I was!
Thanks Ann. Agree Pootles is fantastic for bags and inspiration. I don’t believe I have finished any of the paper packs I have purchased! I’m close on a couple of packs though.
The knitting is really easy on this pattern really once you get past the first increase it is just a rectangle with 2 holes. I must admit I see this as a win win – the lost dogs home is getting some nice new dog coats and I free up some space 🙂 The coats Margaret has done have a little more detail – she is a beautiful knitter and has put in some details on the edges. Hopefully their human owners will appreciate the extra effort 🙂
Looks like you have been seriously busy, loving that little PB hedgehog, I really need to do some colouring! thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks Therese. I have been giving this set a fair % of my love lately best I find something else to love/colour 🙂
Awww! a sweet sweet card! and some beautiful doggie coats : )
Thanks a bunch for playing along at Seize The birthday!
