Hello
Thank you for comments and likes recently.
Glad to see I’m not the only one who relies so much on my phone! The happy news it is all sorted and I didn’t need to get a new one just yet. A small repair sees things all good again.
Anyway enough waffle.
You stop to see the pictures.
Today I have a “thanks” card for a co worker of my eldest daughter.
I am linking up to Darnell’s NBUS #7 here
my NBUS is the stamplorations die.
I hate to admit I’m pretty sure some of these flower images have never seen ink either. I can’t be alone in admitting to having loads of images that have never seen inky love.
I will also link up to
The current challenge at Sweet Stampin’ – no design paper here
and
Fantasy Stampers Challenge #70 Sunshine colours here
As per Ms E’s usual requests there were specific instructions – this time bright with purple and sparkle and to include flowers. Well I set Ms E the task of finding the flower stamps – um no small feet! After she narrowed to about 8 sets I then picked from those and allocated each image an ink colour from those she had selected. I’ve discovered even though I have lots of purple inks I don’t really have a bright purple. Maybe someone can suggest one for me to add to my crafty wishlist.
Here is the result
This card is larger than normal – an A4 piece scored in half.
Which stamp sets did I use to make the background? Images from SU Crazy about you, PTI Beautiful Blooms II, Uniko Flower Power #4 (Ms E was very specific that this image had to be used) and ABS Stemmed Flowers (a few images from that set). I started stamping with the largest images on to white cardstock and then worked down to the smallest. Each flower had their own colour ink. As I mentioned earlier I lined everything up before starting to stamp. The smallest flower was inked in 2 colours to fill in the gaps. The ink colours used are SU Pumpkin pie, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Cre8tive purple. This one of a kind paper was attached to some purple cardstock. I used a NBUS stamplorations “thanks” die cut in the same purple cs and also from foam to add dimension. All this finished with some clear sequins and glossy accents on the die cut to cover the sparkle request.
Until next time
Cheers
Wow this is bright and gorgeous.
Thanks Barbara.
Maybe a Hint of Stella pen to brighten up the purple? Looks grand to me as is though. Great brijt card.
Thanks Susan. Yes a touch of wink of stella might have been good.
Fantastic idea to use so many flower sets – they all need the love! Great choice of colour combinations too – a truly unique card:)
Thanks Ann. I find at times I’m spreading the love a little thin now I seem to have a good selection of sets – but you know there is always room for more 🙂
I’m glad you got your phone sorted out, Vicki! You and your stamp adviser (Ms E) did a brilliant job of making this pretty floral patterned paper!! Your colors are cheerful and vibrant and I love how you used GA on your foam sediment!! Thank you for playing in my NBUS Challenge #7! Hugs, Darnell
Thanks Darnell. I hope to make a dent in my NBUS stash! 🙂
So bright and wonderful, she really does have the right idea for the colours and design and you have the ability, what a perfect pair lol.
Thanks Therese. I need to get her actually creating. Maybe one day.
Wow, that’s some impressive stamping! A wonderful bright card. Thanks for joining us at Sweet Stampin’. Cara DT x
Thanks Cara.
Fantastic, mind you I think I can see where you could have fit another itty bitty bloom or two… nah joking. Looks fantastic and what a great way to make use of all those little ones we never use.
Thanks Aileen. Yes some many little stamps that get overlooked for the big flashy ones in the sets. I hope I don’t heart their feelings when I pass them by.
Bright, sunshiny and funky! Love it! xx
Thanks Andrea.
