Hello
We are part way through the school holidays here. Boy a week flies by so quickly. Pity only another week before we are all back to our routines and sports. Ms E and Mr M are still at uni though while Ms S and Ms A are home along with hubby. When Ms E went to uni in Geelong yesterday the girls and I tagged along for a day trip to the arts and craft shops down there. There are a few art supply shops within working distance of each other not to mention a Kaiser outlet on the drive into town from Uni. I was rather restrained and only purchased 3 items not on my list! Although I did top up Ms A’s craft stash.
Here are a couple of cards I have made.
For the current challenge at Scrapbook Boutique here
and
at Seize the Birthday here
no toppings for me this time
I have used ME up and away and co ordinating dies coloured with alcohol markers. The sponging and background cardstock are SU dapper denium. I used a piece of card board cut out as a stencil for my clouds. The sentiment is from Papersmoches Hullabalo.
While I had the sponges out I created this card with PTI Tremendous treats
and
for the current challenge at Uniko here
and
Fantasy Stampers here
I needed a new book mark for book club so I created this one by colouring my stamp block with markers and stamping into the ink before stamping onto my paper. By doing this I got a few variations of colour on each stamped image to replicate “fall” or autumn as we call it here in Australia. I used images from SU Thoughtful branches and Jane’s Doodles Read all about it. Even though I used greens, browns and orange markers the orange markers look pink in the photo above. Trust me they are orange!
I have also began work on a HST quilt top. Will share that another day.
Until next time
Thanks for stopping
Cheers
Vicki
Ingenious way of stamping those autumn leaves. Thanks for sharing it with us at Fantasy Stampers. 🙂
Thanks Julie.
Love your cards for the Scrapbook Boutique challenge – both have balloons but they are so different! I think the cheeky monkey and star balloon change the mood completely, while the soft bunny and beautiful softly coloured balloons of the first card is completely in tune with the mood board. Great cards, and your book mark will certainly get you in tune with your books this year! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Scrapbook Boutique this month! Enjoy the rest of your holiday:)
Thanks Ann. He really is a cheeky monkey and you are right the are the same but different. All the things I want to do a week is going to go far to quickly!
These are fabulous Vicki, I love those ME balloons with the bunny, one of my favourite stamp sets for sure and your card is so cute! Thanks so much for sharing with us at Scrapbook Boutique!
Thanks Therese. ME make the cutest stamp sets glad I did it justice this time.
Cute cards, specially the bunny! I have heard about those craft shops in Geelong, I think there is a Kaisercraft outlet up in Craigieburn too. I like the bookmark – the colour looks orange to me, but it is weird how some colours are really tricky to photograph.
Thanks Dianne. I believe there is one in Craigieburn too! That one might be just a little too close!
A great book mark, love the sentiment. Thank you for sharing with us at Fantasy Stampers.
Crafty hugs
Lesley
Thanks Lesley.
Love all of them but think the bookmark is a great idea for Christmas presents.
Thanks Susan.
I think your bookmark is just fabulous. Love the pretty leaves and the words too! Thanks so much for playing along with Uniko this month! Deborah, DT.
Thanks Deborah.

Wow! So busy! The results are fab! How do you find the time to check out all those challenges??? Sigh … feeling like doing one … just need the time. Hugs xxx
Thanks Andrea. I try to play at the same challenges – sometimes I don’t play for months though! If you find time to play at one I’m sure I’ll be by for a visit 🙂
Love those balloon cards for the SB Sept challenge Vicki. Great backgrounds and a nice mix of colours chosen for each card to give them a distinctly different look. Great cloudy backgrounds too!
Thanks Linda.
Vicki two beautiful cards and a wonderful tag. Love the little critters and their bunches of balloons. I have procrastinated about getting the first cards stamp set that many times. Should just get it, I love the look of all those balloons.
Thanks Aileen. You should – their sets are so great.
Such a wonderful showcase of creativity. Loving your CAS autumnal tag, lovely to see you in the Uniko Challenge gallery. I hope all is well with you. Hugs Bev x
Thanks Bev.
