Hello
I forgot to come back and share this birthday card I made for Mr M’s birthday last week. He turned 19.
I used a new NBUS SU stamp Super Duper coloured with markers (using my new NBUS stampmaster stamping tool too) and fussy cut before popping up on some old pattern paper. Finished the card with some enamel dots.
I am linking up to Darnell’s latest NBUS challenge here
Mr M had a few friends over to help him celebrate and we had chicken and lamb on the spit. The spit is a recent purchase which we used for Ms E’s 21st in December (cooked lamb and chicken) and Christmas day (3 large turkeys). Unfortunately we had a little incident when one of the boys slam dunked into the basketball ring and sliced his finger. Had to call his parents to take him to hospital. He ended up with plastic surgery and 8 weeks off work! He is an apprentice mechanic. Fortunately no tendon damage but a really serious cut. Must add he hadn’t had a drink.
Until next time
Cheers
Vicki
Great masculine design Vicki! Glad to hear he survived the basketball ring, sometimes it’s the simplest of accidents that can end up being a long time healing, and they happen so quick!
Thanks. Yes it was very quick. I am sure he will be given therapy to do – I hope he does his exercises!
That is too bad about the lad’s finger when he was only doing what kids do naturally and it must have been quite serious to warrant eight weeks off work. Other than that, the party sounds like fun, as do all the other times you used the new spit! You all know how to have a good time!
And, you, Vicki, know how to make fabulous cards for both genders and all ages! This is a perfect card for the young man!! Thank you so much for playing in my NBUS Challenge #9! Hugs, Darnell
Thanks Darnell.
Great masculine card! Thanks for the inspiration.
Thanks Cheryl
