Today I’m popping in to share my post for the current challenge at Unstampabelles #97 here
February Challenge: #97
Who am I?(Must be Positive)
Create something that reflects who you are……….
TWIST….use bright colours and/or explain a bit about yourself and why you created this piece in your journalling. Remember: to be eligible for DT Favorite you should attempt the twist.
This card is for an upcoming 21st however I think it captures some of my favourite things! I like playing with paper and I like flowers and butterflies! And who wouldn’t want to be 21 again and know what they know now – as the saying goes! 😉
I’ve opted for the twist to explain a little about myself rather than the bright colours.
Before the kiddos came along I would always have fresh flowers in my house. These days I don’t buy flowers very often or receive them (sometimes for my birthday or wedding anniversary).
These days I try and bring flowers in from my garden when nature provides such as the roses below.
Having 3 girls I get to enjoy the flowers they get too!
For this card I embossed the card mount before adding a couple of silver flourishes. I then added punched flowers with liquid pearl centres and 3 butterflies with rhinestones. To finish the card I added a black “21” popped up with foam.
Ice berg roses from my Garden
Without boring you all with my varied interests and whole life story I will mention just my creative interests. Along with playing with paper my other creative outlets are sewing quilts, sewing clothes (I have begun sewing more for myself again recently), I like to make soft toys and I like to knit (anything from throws to socks). I started making candles recently after being given an experience voucher which I used for a candle making class and polymer clay class. I have dabbled in other things to and will give most things a go.
In the past I have done embrodiery and cross stitching which I am hoping to rekindle again soon. I still have a stash of supplies! I would also like to learn to crochet more than a basic chain and treble. I have on my “to do list” Sashiko stitching. I have some ideas I just need to put them into action!
Sorry for the long winded post
I hope to see you in the challenge – Remember no stamps!
this is very pretty
Thank you
