A few Christmas cards…

Hello.

I hope all is good in your part of the world.

I know some of you might be a little wet! Hope you are managing Ok.

You are not seeing triple! I coloured a bunch of Jane’s doodles images a while ago with alcohol markers and made some into these cards. All the images are fussy cut and some are popped up with foam tape. The sentiment is from ABS. I have a few more cards, I will share another day!

I don’t often share personal stuff, for those who have been following me from the start of my blogging journey know I am a mum of 4. When I started this blog my children were in primary and high school. Well I now have no children at school! My youngest finished her year 12 exams about a week ago. She will be 18 soon! Next year we will have one at uni and one completing his masters (child #2). Children #1 & #3 have both finished their studies and are working successfully in their chosen fields.

Thanks for stopping

cheers

Finished and Gifted…

Hello

Popping in to share my latest quilt.

I did finish this a few weeks ago however I didn’t get to meet the new member of the family until yesterday. Such a gorgeous looking bub she is too.

The quilt top is 5 1/4″ squares set in a pattern which creates diamonds. When I checked what the nursery decor was going to be I was informed “muted neutrals”. Um brown tones came to mind. Off I went fabric shopping – any excuse! I found the lovely rainbow print and chose two solids from the pattern.

The back is a simple print. I quilted around the blocks and on the diagonal on my domestic machine. I bound with the darker of the solids. Now after purchasing the fabric and I had begun construction my Ms 17 spotted a pic on instagram of the nursery and informed me there was a rainbow print on the wall in the same tones as the fabric. Whew!

Now I couldn’t give a present without a card. I stamped the onesie from TGF onto some pattern paper and fussy cut out, popped onto some white card stock and added to card base. The sentiment is from Jane’s Doodles The sky’s the limit. Love making personalised cards.

Until next time

Cheers

A little update on what I’ve been upto

Hello

Just thought I would pop in and share a few recent finished projects before I start the next one!

A bunch of finished cards – I had coloured for what seemed like ages so it was good to colour again.

A finished quilt as you go upcycled HST shirt quilt

and the reverse.

I love the extra texture with more quilting lines.

One sock down! However I have developed second sock syndrome 😉
A special 80th Birthday card for a special lady from my Days for Girls Group who had a birthday last week. With the news today she will be able to celebrate now.
Pirate pants made from a singlet top. The mum wanted some pants to make a complete outfit and with shops closed the only matching fabric was a singlet!
In this pic bub is wearing a cloth nappy, is 4 weeks old and around 3.8kg.

and of course a matching head band!

Until next time

NBUS Challenge #25

Hello

I have a few cards to share so with fingers crossed hope to be popping in a few times over the next little while to share with you.

Today I thought I would start with some NBUS from Jane’s Doodles.

Thought I best start with these as I have more of Jane’s goodies on their way!

Sloths from Weird
I stamped various leaves in the cut out section before popping up my sloth with foam tabs. All images are coloured with alcohol markers.
Again popped up with foam tabs. I used the cut out from the first card as the mount on this one.
And a little camper! I sponged the background and fussy cut the trees and camper before popping them on with foam tabs.

I am linking up to the current challenge at NBUS here

Thanks for stopping

Pairing NBUS with older sets!…

Hello

Today I am back to share some more recent card makes. And I have used loads of NBUS stuff!

I’ll start with this new stencil from Stamplorations. I added punched flowers to her hair and finished with liquid pearls. I remember seeing one of the DT add flowers and loved the result so I’ve CASed it. I used my new SU brushes to – these are huge brushes compared to the ones I have been using!

This next one is a wee 3″x3″ card using Jane’s Doodles Wild. Coloured with alcohol markers. I can see this hippo becoming a fav! Oh and more sponging.

A couple of “Cute Fruit” cards. I used my SU Stamparatus which makes making more than one quick and easy! Again the smaller card is 3″ x 3″.

For these next two cards I have used Stamplorations Bloomfully Sparkle with PTI Tag it #3 followed by Stamplorations Bloombully Thankful with PTI Tag it #12. Both are again 3″ x 3″ coloured with alcohol markers.

And lastly another card using Jane’s Doodles to the moon. The small stars are from WPlus 9 Unforgetable and the tied string is from Uniko Garlands Galore. I CASed this card too from one I saw on pinterest.

Thanks for stopping

A few love inspired cards…

Hello

Today I have a few love inspired cards to share.

First time I have used the set “Dogs” from Jane’s Doodles. I am linking this card up to the current challenge at NBUS.

I used an old PTI stamp set and SU punch for this card.
More PTI!
I used an unnamed bird stamp (it’s so old I have no idea where I got it from!) I created the Heart by making a mask from a die cut, stampinig within the mask then I added some talking lines. To finish I added the sentiment from YNS.
The last one for today uses stamps, dies & punches from SU. I created my own pattern paper by randomly stamping words and images.

I have a few other cards to share too so will be back soon!

Until then stay safe and well in your little part of the world.

Cheers
