Wonderful…

Hello

 I realised I haven’t shared this card which I made for a 21st a few days ago.

I am linking up to the current challenge at Seize the Birthday here

I used Penny Black wonderful coloured with alcohol markers. The grass is from SU thoughtful branches with a little masking.  I die cut the stamplorations “happy” and PTI “birthday” from the SU confetti celebration paper showing the emerald green beneath. The coloured panel is popped up with foam tabs and there is just a hint of glitter on the balloon.

Now to co ordinate the gift bag I used the same patterned paper and my gift bag punch board and made the largest bag.  It was a perfect fit for the present. Ms E used a bulldog clip to attach the card to the bag and also keep the bag closed!

I have been busy knitting.  I am almost finished sewing up Ms A’s jumper.  One seam to go.

I have knitted one dog coat for the lost dog’s home and started a second one.

I can’t take the credit for all of these…

dog jackets for lost dogs home mine and Margarets. (478x640)

One of the lovely ladies from my Wednesday library group knitted 4 dog jackets in a week! Thank you Margaret. I will take those in to the Lost Dog’s Home with mine.

Until next time

Cheers

More Penny Black Wonderful…

Hello

While I had Penny Black Wonderful out the other day I also created this Thinking of you card for a work colleague who lost her mother recently.

penny black wonderful 3 (640x460)

I teamed this with MSS Simple Salutations.  As you can see I used copics again to colour and the same patterned paper however instead of ribbon I used twine from True Hemp this time.

Today I had a day trip with Ms E (20) to Bendigo where we indulged at Bendigo Woollen Mills among other places.  We decided we need to return to Bendigo again to visit some places we just didn’t have time for and to go back to some we really liked browsing in.  I was really happy to visit the pottery and find the potter at work who I had purchased several pieces from 20+ years ago!  I now have his contact details for a couple of pieces that have been broken over the years.

Thanks for stopping

Cheers

Penny Black Wonderful …

Hello

I needed a couple of cards and thought it would be nice to show some of my older sets some love.

Today I am sharing a birthday card I made for a friend using Penny Black Wonderful stamp set coloured with copics and layered using SU Sweet Sorbet paper and SU Pool Party Seam binding ribbon.

Dino Party…

Hello

Today I am back with a birthday card – another of Ms E’s requests.

I am linking up to the 30 day colouring challenge here

Penny black dino party (640x460)I started by stamping the Penny Black Dino Party images and colouring them with alcohol markers. I added the sentiment from the Julie Nutting Party Girl stamp set using my stamping tool.  I layered the card front onto some cardstock from my stash and popped both up with foam tape.  The image was finished off with some kindy glitz (I used a toothpick to get into the tiny spots – I saw this on pinterest if it was you thank you) and some glossy accents.

A knitting update – one finished sock. I have started the second.

It was a busy weekend which started with Mr M’s Year 12 graduation and presentations followed by a formal dinner. The rest of the weekend was filled with the girl’s going to parties and the movies plus all the normal children’s activities.

Hope to be back soon with more to share

Wonderful…

Hello

Time has a habit of getting away from me!

The children are back at school/uni, I’m back at work and Hubby is back from his work trip but we haven’t sat to look at all the pics yet. There was only one sick with travel sickness out of the group of 18 students. They visited France (Paris, Versailles, Somme & Framelle), Belgium, the Netherlands (Amsterdam), Germany (Berlin) and Turkey (Istanbul & Gallipoli).

Anyway it has taken me a couple of days to get today’s card together. I was determined to have something creative to share this week.

I am linking up to the current challenge at Scrapbook Boutique here

Doesn’t this cake look yummy

Here is my card

IMG_6806 (640x427)

I started by stamping my Penny Black wonderful image in Memento tuxedo black ink onto xpress it blending card stock. I coloured with various alcohol markers from Kaisercrsaft & Stampin Up. I layered my image onto Lifestyle crafts nesting lace squares cut from purple cardstock (unknown from scrap pile). This was then layered on to the card front. The ribbon is from my stash I added a sentiment from PTI tiny tags stamped with MFT Grapescicle ink and SU Perfect plum marker and die cut with co ordinating die. The flowers are punched from SU Itty Bitty accents and pushed down in the centre so the petals pop up, then finished with a spot of liquid pearls. I also added a little wink of stella to the centre of the stamped flowers which doesn’t show in my photography.

I also have a finished quilt to share

IMG_6807 (471x640)

This is a disappearing nine patch quilt. The fabrics were from the same range. The sashing/border is a different fabric and is also used for the backing fabric. The batting is a 50/50 bamboo and cotton. I was happier with my basting of this quilt than I was of the last one I completed see this post here. I did use some basting spray this time as well as pinning a lot more. I used my treadle sewing machine to complete the quilting in the ditch.  Hubby now has a couple to choose from to gift.

Happy Birthday…

Miss S (13) wanted a green card for her friend Emily. I have made the tag (book mark) so it just sits on the flourish and flowers and can easily be taken off to use.

Happy Birthday Siobhan

IMG_2985I made this for friend’s daughter who is turning 13 today – funnily her mum and I have been friends since we were about the same age – I’m not going to tell you how long that is though!

I used Penny Black Zoophatbet, Creativ ABC stamped with colorbox heliotrope and coloured with various markers. The “S” was finished off with glossy accents. I added some Kaisercraft purple ink to the edge of the name panel with a distressing tool.  Not sure what brand the cardstock and patterned paper are – just had them here! I used MFT Dienamics dies for the flowers cut in felt and SU Sizzlits Little leaves cut from CS. The flowers were finished with a mauve coloured pearl.

These are Siobhan’s favourite colours – according to my Miss S they catch the bus to school most days together.

+ something new …

I have used a couple of my sets from “last season” + a few newbies to create some gift tags for my book club friends. All the girls have been on a trip somewhere – most overseas to gorgeous places and have bought back lovely gifts for the rest of us. I haven’t been travelling  😦 – I wanted to give my friends a little treat. I was having a play trying to work out what I like best. I still haven’t decided!

I have no idea what colours I used where – here is a pic of my workspace mid way.

UM – don’t really think I need any more markers.

The girls got a little package earlier today at our second book club review. We read Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. A few late nights this week trying to get this one finished! I just made it finished at 11.30 this morning for our 3pm get together.

Hope you’re having a great weekend. Another 13th birthday party tonight.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Vicki
