Popping in to share my latest quilt.
I did finish this a few weeks ago however I didn’t get to meet the new member of the family until yesterday. Such a gorgeous looking bub she is too.
The quilt top is 5 1/4″ squares set in a pattern which creates diamonds. When I checked what the nursery decor was going to be I was informed “muted neutrals”. Um brown tones came to mind. Off I went fabric shopping – any excuse! I found the lovely rainbow print and chose two solids from the pattern.
The back is a simple print. I quilted around the blocks and on the diagonal on my domestic machine. I bound with the darker of the solids. Now after purchasing the fabric and I had begun construction my Ms 17 spotted a pic on instagram of the nursery and informed me there was a rainbow print on the wall in the same tones as the fabric. Whew!
Now I couldn’t give a present without a card. I stamped the onesie from TGF onto some pattern paper and fussy cut out, popped onto some white card stock and added to card base. The sentiment is from Jane’s Doodles The sky’s the limit. Love making personalised cards.
Until next time
The cards I’m sharing today I am linking up to the following challenges – I haven’t played at either of these sites for ages so it was about time!
Through the Craft Room door here
Loves Rubberstamps Challenge here – Masculine theme
– the red and blue combo below
Here are my cards
I couldn’t resist making more than one!
I am sure I had a white onesie with a yellow Tweety bird embroidered for my baby (now Ms 10).
I stamped my images from Stampin UP! Made with love and Something for Baby and die cut using Baby’s First Framelits. I stamped 8 onto white cardstock. The striped ones I stamped twice once with a black outline and once in colour. The little butterflies come from The Greeting Farm Build a Onesie. I used various inks including Stampin UP!, Tim Holtz and My Favourite Things. I coloured the details using Tim Holtz distress markers and Stampin UP! markers. All the onesies are popped up with foam tape. The sentiments are from Stampin UP! Made with love and Simon Says Stamp Baby.
Must go netball training pick up time!
Thanks for stopping
My Second post for today!
Happy Birthday to my walking/book friend. I think this image suits her.
I have used Cardstock from Stampin UP! Neutrals and Scrapbook boutique Kraft cardstock along with October Afternoon Farmhouse pad to make the card front up.
I coloured Miss Anya with Tim Holtz and Stampin UP! markers before cutting her out and attaching to card front with pop up dots.
I am linking this card to this challenge at The Greeting Farm.
I have used the cute TGF Summer Fun Amelia stamped in stazon black and coloured using Tim Holtz markers (tumbled glass, scattered straw & Mustard seed), SU markers (Pool party & blush blossom) and SU ink So saffron & daffodil delight). I used AC CS Powder and SBB CS Sand & Surf. Dies I used are all Lifestyle crafts – Nested circles, nesting doily circles and Blossom. I cut the flower from PTI felt in Hawiian Shores and added a yellow button with grey embroidery cotton. The ribbon is from my ribbon jar. I added some clear spica pen to her hair and the ruffle on her bather bottoms – but it doesn’t show up in the photo – it is there!
I thought I would entry this card into the following challenges.
SC 062/12, Jay Gee’s Nook Challenge #24, TGF Double Take Tuesday Challenge & The Stamp Spot October Challenge…
for the sketch + one for the girls
for the colours, ruffle on her bikini bottoms looks like the screen and the flower in her hair
for the colours – there is just a touch of grey holding the button!
for a stamp from The Greeting Farm.
Hope your week is good.
I have used The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Collection she was stamped with Stazon onto watercolour paper and coloured with various markers and watercolour pencils. (including Tim Holtz Worn Lipstick, Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar & tumbled glass + SU Pretty in Pink & Blush Blossom). CS is AC Blush and Paper is MME Miss Caroline Dolled Up. I will be linking this up to the above challenges. Take a look.
We are in very a great day here in Melbourne – already warm outside. Fabulous for nearing the end of the school holidays.
Thanks once again for stopping by. I appreciate the time it takes for my followers.
First time I have inked up this stamp – OA Summer Fun and the sentiments from TGF My Guy Ian and TGF OA Surprise (I’ve used this one before).
Happy Birthday Caleb – Hope you had a great day. You asked for TGF boy image, orange, turquoise, and silver and of course a Birthday card. This is for TGF FFF Challenge and I am also going to enter this into Just Add Ink Challenge 186 Children’s card.
Watercoloured using watercolour pencils, Tim Holtz markers (tumbled glass, wild honey & spiced marmalade), SU Markers (Blush Blossom & Pool Party) & Zig Pure Orange.

Had a busy weekend. A 40th Birthday party with a clown, hula hoops and spinning plates – The birthday girl wanted a kids party. It was a lot of fun. Sunday was spent at the Museum a good day too.
The Children and hubby have various things planned for tomorrow so hopefully I will get some time to make a couple of things I have been thinking about. Fingers crossed.
Hope your week has got off to a great start. Thanks for stopping.
I made this card for my husband’s birthday in a couple of days.
I used The Greeting Farm OA Surprise stamped with Stazon. I then coloured him using watercolour pencils and SU Not Quite Navy, SU Blush Blossom and Marvy Le Plume Brillant Yellow markers. I popped him onto the card front with tape. I cut the banners from Jillibean Soup Spotted owl DSP, MME Lime Twist Out of the Blue DSP, SU Bashfull blue and So Saffron Cardstock. The stars were cut with X Cut Star Nesting dies using MME Lime twist DSP and cardstock from my stash. Buttons from AnnaBelle Stamps and We R Memory Keepers Orange Twine. The tag is from SU Sizzlits Lots of Tags Label 1 and SU Little Princess sentiment.
I am going to enter this card into The Greeting Farm Retro Fresh Challenge.
YELLOW ORANGE BABY BLUE
Thanks for stopping. Have a great weekend.
Hi. Hope everyone’s day has got off to a great start. Student free day so have my youngest home today plus I am expecting some tradesmen any time now! We all know how predictable tradies are right?
Anyway I have two cards to share today.
The first is for The Greeting Farm Fresh Friday Challenge Paper Piercing. This is a technique I only tried a little while ago and I am enjoying it.
I have used The Greeting Farm Miss Anya Collection along with sentiment from PTI Train Tracks. I used Twine from SU, cardstock from American Crafts and Pebbles. A Fiskars border punch and tag die from life style crafts. This card is for a 13 year old girl I think she came up alright.
The second card is a first for me. This is the first pinwheel I have ever made. I was surprised at how easy it was. I used DSP from MME Miss Caroline for the pinwheel and a brad from my stash along with a tooth pick for the handle. I used PTI Tiny Tags and die stamped with SU Regal Rose and Soft Suede tied with Blossom twine from the The Twinery. The other cardstock is also from my stash. I punched out butterflies from kraft cardstock using carl and armada punches. Finished off with some rhinestones and hand drawn butterfly trials.
Thanks for stopping by.
