Ribbon Macarons?…

The challenge this fortnight at the Lollipop Ladies involves macarons and the extra challenge of ribbon.

TLL #77 Macarons

This is my card for the challenge.

IMG_3762

I used Annabelle stamps Stemmed Flowers stamped using Stampin UP! ink (Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie).  I added a piece of white ribbon to the bottom of my card.

IMG_3759

I used ribbon to make some hair clips. I used a technique similar to that in this Tutorial at Splitcoast stampers and also at Annabelle Stamps Blog with a brad in the centre.  I made a match book to gift them in using the same supplies as in the card.

Still school holidays today. Miss E had 3 exams today, Mr M has been a zoo keeper for the day and Miss S & Miss A have been a work with Dad for the day. Great chance for me to catch up on some paperwork – not the crafty kind either!

Here is a link to my caramel cardigan – I finally finished.

Ahoy! Second Round…

This is my second post in the challenge at the Lollipop Ladies. You still have around 10 days to get your entry in to the challenge.

Pirates + Water

IMG_3569

I haven’t made one of these cards for ages and I don’t know why. They are super easy for great effect – in my opinion. Loads of free tutorials on the web – search tri shutter card. I have used Papermania Urban Stamp All Aboard Map stamped onto (unknown) cardstock in SU Lucky Limeade ink matted onto (unknown) cardstock. The pop up elements are again unknown – I have had those for a very very long time! I actually found them recently whilst looking for something else and went AH HAH I know just what project I am going to use them for. Can you spot a little touch of water under the pirate ship?  The digital image is from http://madamebogg.blogspot.com.au/  coloured with markers and fussy cut out.

IMG_3571

I had a little trouble getting a good pic of the pirate inside the card – the auto focus kept focusing on other elements of the card. I really must read the camera manual! Maybe that could be my next book club read? After all it is my turn to pick. We had book club at my place yesterday – I think we need a new name – couldn’t eat tea I ate so much at lunch time. Being school holidays we had a few of the children around too – good now they can keep themselves busy, although they do have a radar for when the sweet treats came out of the fridge. Any way enough of my waffle.

I have used the 3D stickers and the coloured cardstock is so old I don’t know where it came from.

Hope everything good where you are and thank you for stopping.

Ahoy me hearties…

Sorry couldn’t help that.

This weeks challenge at the Lollipop Ladies is Pirate Lollipops and water.

I made this card using a digi image from http://madamebogg.blogspot.com.au/ coloured with markers along with stamps from Hero Arts and My Cute Stamps. Plus Heidi Grace patterned paper,  cardstock from my stash and Sizzix Woodgrain embossing folder.

IMG_3549

I tore the cardstock and layered before stamping my images onto the underwater scene. I stamped the shells and star fish onto scraps and cut out before adding to the water. The Pirate is standing on a piece of embossed woodgrain cardstock – like a part of a ship or a jetty. The sun is stamped and a punched circle added for the centre.

I was having fun so I made a second card.

IMG_3545

Using PTI Tremendous  Treats, My Cute Stamps – Fishy Fun and AnnaBelle Stamps Boy’s Party images. I have coloured the pirate with alcohol markers and Tim Holtz black soot.  I added some sparkle to my pirate with some glitter on his skull and cross.  I layered by using circle punches and popped up with foam tabs. The little boats are coloured with SU markers before being hand cut.

Pink Spots…

I fully intended to have these cards made over our recent long weekend – however other things got in the way of my crafting time.

I made this for a couple of challenges this week.

IMG_3515

I used ABSC033 for the layout. I have used cardstock from my stash. The image is from ABS Tomorrows Dream paper pierced with bits again from my stash. I coloured her scarf and hat band with markers before adding glossy accents. I used an alcohol marker to colour her face. I die cut her using a circle die before mounting to a scallop circle.  I replaced the kite with a felt balloon cut from PTI die and added twine from the twinery (blossom). The card front is embossed using swiss dots. The sentiment is from ABS Party Animals 1. Before finishing off I added some  punched flowers with rhinestone centres.

Annabelle Stamps Blog: ABSC033

I then decided to make a second card.

IMG_3516

In this card I used ABSC031 sketch with ABS digi paper in spots with some ABS ribbon. The sentiment is again from ABS Party Animals 1. I added a Kaisercraft pre cut flower, Basic grey button tied in the centre with blossom twine and finished with a row of rhinestones.

These cards were my post for the Lollipop Ladies this week and I am linking them up to the challenge at Annabelle Stamps.

Thanks for stopping bye for a peek.

If you are any where near where I live I hope you are staying warm and dry!

Hope to be back again soon.

Lego + Toys + Transport

IMG_3365bThis is my card for the Challenge at The Lollipop Ladies. Lego + Toys.

I used Stampin UP! I dig you stamped in Real Red ink. I made the lego bricks from a square punch with small circles on top.

This weeks sponsor is AnnaBelle Stamps

When Mr M (15) was small we would have the train set set up covering most of the floor with lego buildings and animals too. We have lego from duplo through to the more complex technic.  Haven’t had the lego out for a few months now – although it is currently school holidays – might be time to play. When it comes out we leave it out for a few days – you know it takes a day or so to build everything and at least a day to pack it up.   As for trains and trucks – they don’t tend to get out so much these days.

I am also linking this to the Challenge Oldie but a goodie Challenge – Transport – SU stamp set older than 6 months + the circle punch is very old too!

Rock candy + music…

Well this had me thinking for a bit.

I actually made this first

??????????????????????????

using Papersmooches Smarty Pants and Stampin UP! Markers finished off with some glossy accents.

Then just as I thought I was ready to write this post I re read the description. UM I forgot the music component. Has anyone else made a similar mistake?

So I made this for my DT post at the Lollipop Ladies

????????????????????????????????????????????????

using Kaisercraft Sheet Music and Die-Versions Sweet Petites Guitar die and scraps of paper.

Pop on over to the Lollipop Ladies for the current challenge of Rock candy + Music

Daisy Lollipops…

After setting out to make one card for the  DT at the Lollipop Ladies I ended up with two cards.

The Challenge is Daisy Lollipops with the additional challenge of stripes – head on over to take a peek at the prize for this fortnight.

IMG_3304

This first one uses AnnaBelle Stamps Easter Chickadee Stamp Set, Cuts by design and Backgrounds by Design 3 and Stampin UP! ink and markers plus Stazon Jet black. The paper is AnnaBelle Stamps digital paper Chilli in Rose along with a scrap of yellow from my stash. Finished off with Pearls from Kaisercraft.

IMG_3303

My Second card uses Papertrey Ink Heart-2-Heart #7, Stampin UP! Ink, AnnaBelle Stamps gingham ribbon and yellow twine along with a button from my jar. The green cardstock is from my stash.

I am linking this card upto ABC Challenges – Anything Goes.

Just want to put my Mum hat on for a minute. My eldest daughter got a medal and her name goes on a trophy at school for the school sports carnival they had last week. She competed in the most events for her year level. She is very pleased – and rightly so. She has been trying to achieve this for a few years now and has been pipped at the post so to speak by the same girl, so to achieve this on her last year at the school is pretty exciting.

For those who asked Gran’s tooth is fine – just needed a filling! I think that is pretty good for 94.

Hope to be back later with something else to share – just need to brave the sun later to take a pic!

Thanks for stopping.

Cheers

A new challenge and some news…

I have some very exciting news.

I was picked to be a DT member for February through to June at the Lollipop Ladies. I had to double check the email! I was rather excited.  I am thrilled to be picked.

Please stop by their blog and take a peek of the current challenge.

With the additional challenge of  Glass

IMG_3272

I repeatedly stamped Papersmooches Great Chemistry (glass) beakers. I then coloured the beakers and fumes with SU markers (Perfect Plum, Pumpkin Pie, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green) and added the liquid drops in the same colours. I layered this with some black cardstock. Adhered the whole piece to my card front and stamped the sentiment from Papersmooches Smarty Pants in Versafine Onyx Black. To finish off I used Glossy accents on the coloured sections.

The Lollipop Ladies…

???????????????????????????????????????????????I am linking this set of cards upto the challenge at the Lollipop Ladies

??????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????????????????????

???????????????????????????????????????????????

I have used Stampin UP! Sizzix Embosslits Beautiful Wings cut from various bits of cardstock I had on hand (not sure of brands). I glued them in a swirl pattern to represent the swirls of the lollipops. Two of the cards start with the smaller butterflies towards the centre and fly out whilst the other two are the opposite with the larger butterflies in the centre with the smaller ones trailing in the distance. I added some bling to the centre of each butterfly to finish off. I perfer the later while Miss S prefers the former. I ummed and arred about this for a while – that’s why I ended up with two styles!

School goes back here this week. Miss A starts tomorrow Mr M Friday, Miss E Monday (next week) and then Miss S Tuesday (next week) and hubby went back today. So another week before everyone gets back to their routine.

Hope everyone in Australia is staying dry – at the very least I hope you are not effected by the flooding.

Cheers

Gingerbread House Challenge #61…

IMG_2961I have made a tag for a pressie still to be shared. I will be linking this up to the challenge over at the Lollipop Ladies.  I think I should just make it.

I used Die namics tag stax die, AnnaBelle stamps digi paper and dies from Lifestyle crafts. I drew the features on the gingerbread people with white gel pen. I can’t believe I haven’t had ink on my fingers for days now!

Sharing a few pics of my Christmas tables before everyone arrived. Hope you all had a great Christmas/Festive Holiday.

IMG_2960bIMG_2959b My husband and the children made these Christmas trees using chicken wire and tinsel with an MDF base.

Thanks for taking the time to have a peek.

Wishing you a Happy New Year!
