Punch Owl…

IMG_3037

I made this card following a sketch at Whimsie Doodles

I haven’t actually used any stamps. I used various circle punches to create this owl. I followed this example by Tanja Kolar  here http://www.tanjakolar.de/?p=1503

I was originally going to use a stamped image – but changed my mind after colouring the image. I’ll use that another day – or give it to Miss 8 to put on her book covers for school.

I’m also linking this up to the challenge at UnstampaBelles #19

http://unstampabelleschallenges.blogspot.com.au/2013/01/unstampabelles-19-use-one-or-more-dies.html

I used only one die – the leaf die. If I had thought a little more I could have used circle dies instead of punches!

Been to the Melbourne Zoo this morning. Beautiful new baby boy elephant – no name yet.

Hope you are having a great start to the week.  Still thinking about all the people in the fire zones – keep safe.

Cheers

Hap-Bee Birthday – JAI 137

This is for a friend who has just had a birthday. She has been away so I haven’t had a chance to catch up yet.

I have used a digi image from Whimsie Doodles.

I also used AC CS Scarlet, October Afternoon Sidewalks paper, Courture Creations Victorian Rectangle Die and Queen & Co twine. I coloured my image with Tim Holtz markers (Old Paper, Anitque Linen, Scattered Straw, Tea Dye, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss and Barn Door) along with Marvy Le Plume Crimson Lake.

I am entering this into Just Add Ink 137 sketch challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
