Happy Birthday Ms S…

Hello

Today Ms S turns 15.

Happy Birthday

Last week when I made and posted the chocolate card here my 3 girls all asked me to make one for their birthdays.

So today I have another chocolate card to share.  I do apologise if it makes you want chocolate!

Chocolate card Ms S

I have used some AC Chocolate cardstock for the chocolate. The blue pattern paper is MDS Sweet details paper printed on to an A4 sheet. The sentiment is from MSS Simple Salutations stamped in SU baked brown sugar and layered with word window, modern label and designer label punches. The silver foil is from my kitchen.

and here is my card

two by two side view (640x479)

and

two by two (640x470)

I layered my card where the original used peep holes and added a sentiment. I have used SU Two by Two coloured with markers and crayons. I punched the image using 1″ punch and layered onto red scrap CS using a 1 1/8″ punch, The card front is AC CS embossed with Chevron embossing folder. The white and beige cs are from my stash. I used AC Mini scallop border punch on the white cs. I used SU pool party marker to colour sentiments “Welcome Boys!” from PTI Hanging Out to make the banner.

School holidays have started here. Last night Ms 18 had friends over for pizza and movie night. We made our own pizza base and the girls added all their own toppings. The girls followed this with hot jam donuts and ice cream with sprinkles.

This is one of their creations – heart shaped with philly and oregano topping.

Funky Florals + Fontiments

IMG_3158

I have used PTI Funky Florals – each part of the flower is an individual stamp and Beautiful Blooms – leaves inked with Stampin UP! inks. The sentiment is from Uniko Fontiments – Birthday popped up with foam tape. The cardstock is AC.

This is a bright and happy Birthday card. I realised recently I am a bit light on for cards – I’ve had a run of birthdays lately.

A few things to share…

Sorry for lack of posts this week. Been a bit busy. Can you believe this is the only thing I have made all week and it really took just a few minutes. IMG_2931

I made this card for a great friend who came to support me (and the other creative people) at my recent venture into craft markets. I used AnnaBelle stamps Sentimental Bluebells, SU ink and Fiskars punch along with AnnaBelle stamps Chilli digi paper.

Here are a few of the cards I made for the day.

The packs of cards weren’t popular (only sold one pack of 5) but the upside is I don’t have to make any to send to family and I have some left for teacher presents.  I also made some little gift tags which seemed to be more popular. My textiles also did well – so all in all a good experience.

If you have reached this far in this long make up post I’ll share a few things we have been doing this week. Now that 3 birthdays are over we have started Christmas shopping before Miss 8 finishes school next week. We have had 2 nights of school Christmas dance concerts (only had to add tinsel to a skirt for this one), week 2 of a new job, tonight we have an award ceremony for Mr 14  (not sure what for yet!) and also today Miss 17 had 4 wisdom teeth out.  I’m sure I’m not the only one at this time of the year very time poor.

What is everyone planning for Christmas? I have 25 people Christmas day and haven’t organised a thing yet.

If you have got this far – Thank you for hanging in there!

I’ll hopefully be back soon with somethings to share. I have received some nice new sets in the last few weeks and haven’t opened them yet.

Cheers

The Stamp Spot November Challenge + TAWS Be Inspired #14

I used TAWS Priceless Joy along with SU Ink, AC Powder CS and Me & My big Ideas Ellen Summer Pack. I made the tag using my Fiskars shape cutter + Journal Plates.

I am linking this card upto the following challenges

The Stamp Spot November Challenge – tags

“This month I would like to challenge you all to try something new, now this challenge topic may not be new to you in your crafting creations but we don’t see a lot of these on The Stamp Spot….

I am talking about tags – gift tags, journaling tags/cards any kind of tag really. To tie it in with the store you will need to incorporate something that is listed instore… there are many options and it doesn’t have to be purchased from my store or exactly what is in store – in your stash you are sure to have twine, ribbon, washi tape (and if you don’t you may soon will, prices instore start at $2.00 per roll!), patterned paper, die cuts even stamps. Certainly feel free to make a start if you haven’t already on making your own Christmas gift tags or Christmas Tree Tag Decorations and use them to enter this challenge.  There are no colour restrictions, size or occasion requirements… just tags.”

I was inspired by the colour way in the top left corner.

I didn’t win the Melbourne Cup Sweep – but did get my $2 back because my horse came last! Just a bit of fun at the Cup day BBQ with friends yesterday. If you had a flutter on the horses hope you did well.
