A few Christmas cards…

Hello.

I hope all is good in your part of the world.

I know some of you might be a little wet! Hope you are managing Ok.

You are not seeing triple! I coloured a bunch of Jane’s doodles images a while ago with alcohol markers and made some into these cards. All the images are fussy cut and some are popped up with foam tape. The sentiment is from ABS. I have a few more cards, I will share another day!

I don’t often share personal stuff, for those who have been following me from the start of my blogging journey know I am a mum of 4. When I started this blog my children were in primary and high school. Well I now have no children at school! My youngest finished her year 12 exams about a week ago. She will be 18 soon! Next year we will have one at uni and one completing his masters (child #2). Children #1 & #3 have both finished their studies and are working successfully in their chosen fields.

Thanks for stopping

cheers

Blessings of Home…

Hello, I’m back to share some more floral cards! This time I have used SU Blessings of Home stamp set and Flowers of home dies.

This first image I coloured with alcohol markers, I stamped and die cut some flowers before adding to the card front.

I stamped the image twice on my card front and once on white cs before die cutting and placing on my card front with a sentiment.

Again no colouring – this time I used pattern paper for the base.

Thanks for visiting.

Until next time

Cheers

Happiness Abounds…

Hello

Apologies for my long blogland abscence. I have been creating! I’m sure you know how it goes life v’s creating time v’s blogging/social media time!

I recently had a play with SU Happiness abounds stamp set and Blossoming Happiness dies. All my images below are coloured with alchohol markers.

I used a piece of gradient coloured paper for this one and after arranging my flowers added some liquid pearls. I was inspired by Therese’s card here

Some black and white striped paper here. The Die cut piece was also run through an embossing folder, not that you can see in this photo. Once again I added some liquid pearls in black this time.

Simple flower/leaves with a die cut background – no sentiment yet. I often create a card and wait to see who the recipient is before I add one.

I have a few other projects on the go and recently finished, so I hope to share again soon.

Until then thanks for stopping

Cheers

Bron’s 60th Birthday Blog and INSTA Hops #4 – CASEing the Catty from a Page in the Sixties.

Hello

Today I’m happy to be participating in Bronwyn’s 60th Birthday Blog (&Insta) Hop! This is month 4 of 6 months of hops in the lead up to Bronwyn’s special birthday in lieu of an overseas holiday which has been put on hold. What a great way to celebrate a special birthday.

This months inspiration is from the current Stampin Up Catalogue pages 60 through to 69. You should have arrived here from Catherine’s blog

If you have seen Bronwyn’s creations you know she makes amazing 3D cards.

I wanted to create something a little different and to show stamps can be used for other things other than cards and memory keeping. So I have decided to stamp onto a ready made puzzle and a calico bag, cause you have to keep the puzzle in something!

I stamped my image from Count on me with memento tuxedo black ink and coloured with SU markers and watercolour pencils. I did dab some of the colour off with a piece of paper towel. When I was happy with the colouring I restamped the image outline. When all was dry I finished by painting fabric fixative with a paintbrush over the stamped image. If you try this at home remember to put a scrap of card inside your bag to absorb the extra colour.

I have used the stamp sets Count on me (p61) and lovely you (p63) to create my puzzle design.

To create the puzzle I layed the images onto my stamparatus and stamped in quarters. Once the stamping was done I coloured with alcohol markers

I remembered to take a “before” photo after I had coloured one heart!

Thanks for stopping by and helping to celebrate in the lead up to Bronwyn’s special birthday. Next on the hop is Andrea.

If you missed a link or want to start from the start pop over to Bronwyn’s blog to get all the details of the blog and insta hops.

Until next time

Cheers

More Recent makes…

Hello

Popping back to share a few more recent card makes

This one uses SU Driving by and Seriously the best stamp sets. I paper pierced parts of the combi. The pattern paper was perfect for a 60’s inspired combi.

Same combi this time coloured with alchol markers and the sentiment is from TCM stitched sentiments.

I had an unexpected day off today and spent the time cleaning and tidying my craft room. It is so much better when things are in their place!

Bye for now

Cheers

Restocking the stash…

Hello

Popping in to share a few more cards I made recently. It was fun to colour these up.

This little lady from AnnaBelle Stamps was fun to colour. I Fussy cut her out and popped her up on this tag die and then onto my card front.

This little monster is always fun to colour! Again I fussy cut and popped him up.

These 2 from Kaszazz came together super fast, simple stamping with my repositioning stamp tool.

Love the look on the bear’s face! They remind me of old story books.

A llama from Newtons Nook coloured with alcohol markers and popped up on to a background I created a while ago using a stencil, embossing paste and ink refill.

Another Llama from Newton’s Nook also coloured with alcohol markers and popped up on to a stencil/embossing paste background.

I loved the look of the pots so I stamped a few, coloured and popped 2 up with foam tabs.

I love this sentiment. So true!

So now the weather is a little cooler (for a day or so!) I intend to finish binding a quilt I made for another recent addition to the extended family. Fingers crossed I can pop back and share mid week.

Until next time

Cheers

Mice Day to Celebrate…

Hello

Popping in to share a card I made with MFT Mice Day to Celebrate and SU Birthday Chick Dies.

After stamping all my mice and the cup cake I coloured them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them out. I popped them up with foam tabs to create a little birthday scene. The timber is from pattern paper. The banners are die cuts.

Thanks for taking time to visit

Until next time

Cheers

More botanicals…

Hello

I am really happy how these two cards turned out.

I coloured these succulents from Kaszazz with watercolour pencils, fussy cut them and popped every second one up with foam tabs. I wish I could grow plants like this! I seem to over water them 😦

This is another one of Shery’s stamps from the bloomfully collection – I couldn’t choose so I bought most of the sets! I coloured this one with alcohol markers.

I am linking this one up to the never ending challenge at Stamplorations here

Until next time

NBUS Challenge #25

Hello

I have a few cards to share so with fingers crossed hope to be popping in a few times over the next little while to share with you.

Today I thought I would start with some NBUS from Jane’s Doodles.

Thought I best start with these as I have more of Jane’s goodies on their way!

Sloths from Weird
I stamped various leaves in the cut out section before popping up my sloth with foam tabs. All images are coloured with alcohol markers.
Again popped up with foam tabs. I used the cut out from the first card as the mount on this one.
And a little camper! I sponged the background and fussy cut the trees and camper before popping them on with foam tabs.

I am linking up to the current challenge at NBUS here

Thanks for stopping

Cheers
