And here is my card

Uniko nautical treasures (640x459)

I created my own patterned paper using Uniko Nautical Treasures in SU River Rock and Smoky Slate inks. The main image from Uniko Nautical Treasures is stamped with SU Smoky slate ink. I mounted with SU night of navy cardstock. I used Mama Elephant Sew Fancy Dies to create waves, pattern beside the main image and the stitching around the sentiment panel. I also used Inspired by Stamping Fancy Label dies 3 and a 2″ circle punch for the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from PTI Star prints stamped in SU night of Navy ink. The sentiment panel was attached to some double sided adhesive paper I have had for ages and attached to some fun foam to give dimension. The twine is from Annabelle Stamps.

Thanks for stopping

Cheers

Uniko Challenge #12 + Bright Butterflies

Hello

Life has just been busy.

I took my 4 +1 to the school production – “Shout” last week. Great production.  Mr M had his name in the programme for designing the back cover which was also used on the back of the production t-shirts.

I have also been busy with the normal running training, swimming, netball and dancing trips. Mr M and Ms S have kept Mum’s taxi busy.

Any way I really wanted to make another card for the Uniko Challenge – I should just make the cut off time!

I have wanted to try this technique for a while.  I purchased the stencil material and Glitter Frosting paste a while ago and only opened them today.

Jennifer McGuire shows how to colour the paste with ink – jennifermcquireink.com post from 22nd July 2014

Before I started I die cut Uniko Bright Butterflies dies in the stencil material.

Then I mixed PTI Enchanted Evening ink and Glitter Frosting Paste (I picked this up from a craft show) on my craft sheet and added to the stencil.

After I removed the stencil

At this point I left it to dry. Not sure how long it took as I had a school meeting to attend – it was dry when I got home.

Now the finished card.

I added a little shimmer paper along the sides and added to some blue card stock.

Some ABS twine and the sentiment from Uniko Fontiments Birthday to finish.

Sorry for the poor quality photos – taken on my phone at night.

Thanks for stopping

Hope to be back soon

Cheers

Vicki

Edit; On our way to running training at 6.30 the following morning Ms S needed a card for a friend at school. So glad I had this one finished – it has gone with some chocolates for the friend.

Mixed Bunch at IBS & a curtain call…

Happy Friday

A quick post – tonnes to do before the weekend.

I am linking up to these 2 challenges

IBSIC #83

and

And here is my card

Mixed bunch + Petite Petals + Morning Meadow

I used SU scallop tag punch to create 3 fold card. I stamped the first and last panels with SU Mixed Bunch, Petite Petals and Morning Meadow with SU Real Red, So Saffron and PTI Hawaiian shores inks. The centre panel is stamped with IBS sentiment from Springtime Beauty I. I used SU Itty bitty accents punch to create flowers from co ordinating cs and these were finished with a pearl centre.  I finished with a piece of yellow ribbon and some ABS twine.

Thanks for taking the time to have a peek.

Cheers

Inspired by Stamping April Challenge…

 Hello

Happy Monday. I made this card last week and realised I haven’t posted it.

This is the current Challenge at Inspired by Stamping

photo 2 (1)

I used a Kaisercraft card base. I stamped IBS Creative tags with SU Pretty in Pink and a few sentiments with PTI Dark Chocolate and SU Old Olive onto SU Whisper white CS.

I mounted this onto American  Crafts Chocolate cs.  I added a button from my stash threaded with twine from ABS.

Best go do a few chores so I don’t feel so bad about trying to finish my book!

Thanks for taking a peek.

Cheers

I used MFT Contemporary Roses stamped in SU Pretty in Pink and PTI Lavender Moon. The leaves are stamped in SU Certainly Celery and hand cut.

The flower is popped up with foam tape onto the card front. The tag is stamped with images from Papersmooches Botanicals 2 and created by using the SU Angled tag Topper Punch with a small piece of brown cs along one edge.

The lavender cs is embossed with Sizzix  Floral Flourishes embossing folder. The remaining embellisments are ABS twine, sequins from a local dance shop and a touch of clear wink of stella.

It is one of Miss E’s oldest friend’s 18th Birthday today – they have been friends from 3 year old kinder, through 4 year old Kinder, primary and secondary school. Happy 18th Tash!

Just heard the birthday girl liked the card.

I have used the sketch from Try stampin’ on Tuesdays and the the challenge from Twisted Tuesdays, I am linking up to these challenges.

I used a pre cut card finished size 12.5cm x 18.5cm. I used Kaisercraft La Di Da Paper along with green cardstock. I stamped the dinosaurs from Stampin UP!  Dinoraur in stazon timber brown and coloured with markers from Tim Holtz and Stampin UP!. I used circle punches to punch them out and popped them up with foam tape. I added some twine from Annabelle stamps and the die cut numbers from Papersmooches Numbers, by request no stamped words.

Today is also the last day of official classes for Miss E. Year 12 exams start in just over a week and graduation celebrations are next week – better get a wriggle on with the dress!

A few gifts and Mother’s day…

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and enjoyed Mother’s Day.

IMG_3479

I knitted this tea cosy (in Patons Caressa 8 ply for my yarn stash) for a friend’s birthday. I used a pattern from The Art of Knitting. The buttons are from my stash and are tied using Annabelle Stamps Hemp twine natural.  I know my friend’s teapot is a handmade pottery one in blue and green tones – I was guessing, going from memory  estimating the size of her teapot. Fingers crossed it fits hers as well as it fits my Maxwell Williams tea pot. I also added some Australian Black tea I picked up at a local Farmer’s market and a travel mug.

IMG_3480

I used MFT Always time for tea die for the card along with Courture Creations Tied Together Embossing Folder, Kaisercraft ribbon, Hemptique twin, PTI Tiny Tags die and stamp set stamped using SU ink.  I used paper included in a magazine to die cut the shapes, as this has no body I adhered it to adhesive paper first.

IMG_3482

I have also made another stationery roll. I was lucky enough to find some co-ordinating stationery in Kmart for a few dollars. I used the same pattern I did here https://frommycraftroom.wordpress.com/2013/04/01/happy-birthday-notebook-cover/  and instructions were from Handmade Magazine Vol 31 Number 2 by Jemima Flendt.

IMG_3481

My Miss 8 woke me at 8am on Sunday so she could give me the gift she had put together and to watch a Mother’s day kids song on you tube.

IMG_3483

She sourced items from her own craft stash (a future RAK giver in the making) and put them in a bag she decorated for me with her hand made card and powerpoint. I think I will leave these items where she can get them because I know she will be looking for them soon.  Miss 17 had been to the local lolly shop and got some chocolates which the 4 of them chipped in for.

After lunch the girls and I did a little shopping and stopped for a hot drink and shared some cakes – something we never do (shopping yes stopping for drinks no). When we got home the boys had cooked a nice roast and Mr 15 made some scones which we had with jam and cream.

Hope your week has got off to a great start. I need to go and write some reports for a work meeting tomorrow.

Cheers for now

Vicki

Update:

Took my friend her pressie. We tried it out straight away with a cuppa. It fitted her everyday pot which means her other tea cosy went for a wash.

Tomorrow’s Dream…

IMG_3475

This is my card for the current challenge at The Lollipop Ladies

Sour Cola Bottles with the extra challenge of Glitter!

I have used Annabelle Stamps Tomorrows Dream paper pierced with Kaisercraft Le Chateau Collection. I coloured some parts with various markers. The Cloud is die cut from glitter paper using an Impression Obsession cloud die. The Kraft is Annabelle Stamps Kraft card stock. The buttons are Gorjuss which I got with a magazine recently threaded with Annabelle stamps natural hemp twine.

Pop on over and check out this months challenge and prize.

Thanks for taking a peek. You know I love all the great comments you leave – Thank you.

Cheers
