A bright Thanks…

Hello

Thank you for comments and likes recently.

Glad to see I’m not the only one who relies so much on my phone! The happy news it is all sorted and I didn’t need to get a new one just yet.  A small repair sees things all good again.

Anyway enough waffle.

You stop to see the pictures.

Today I have a “thanks” card for a co worker of my eldest daughter.

I am linking up to Darnell’s NBUS #7 here

my NBUS is the stamplorations die.

I hate to admit I’m pretty sure some of these flower images have never seen ink either.  I can’t be alone in admitting to having loads of images that have never seen inky love. Image result for embarrassed emoji

As per Ms E’s usual requests there were specific instructions – this time bright with purple and sparkle and to include flowers.  Well I set Ms E the task of finding the flower stamps – um no small feet!  After she narrowed to about 8 sets I then picked from those and allocated each image an ink colour from those she had selected.  I’ve discovered even though I have lots of purple inks I don’t really have a bright purple.  Maybe someone can suggest one for me to add to my crafty wishlist.

Here is the result

IMG_7447 (489x640)

This card is larger than normal – an A4 piece scored in half.

Which stamp sets did I use to make the background? Images from SU Crazy about you, PTI Beautiful Blooms II, Uniko Flower Power #4 (Ms E was very specific that this image had to be used) and ABS Stemmed Flowers (a few images from that set). I started stamping with the largest images on to white cardstock and then worked down to the smallest.  Each flower had their own colour ink.  As I mentioned earlier I lined everything up before starting to stamp.  The smallest flower was inked in 2 colours to fill in the gaps.  The ink colours used are SU Pumpkin pie, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo and Cre8tive purple.  This one of a kind paper was attached to some purple cardstock.  I used a NBUS stamplorations “thanks” die cut in the same purple cs and also from foam to add dimension.  All this finished with some clear sequins and glossy accents on the die cut to cover the sparkle request.

A late Mother’s Day share…

Hello

Today I am sharing the Mother’s Day card I made for my Gran. A little late. I didn’t get a chance to visit Gran until late last week. Gran has become forgetful so she didn’t notice I was a few days late.  It can be rather funny some days to explain who you are!

I used Annabelle Stamps Designer Flowers, Stemmed Flowers (leaf) and Butterfly Sunshine (sentiment). The inks I used were SU Smoky slate, Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight and Tim Holtz Abandoned coral (reinker + uninked pad). The sentiment is also from Annabelle Stamps Designer Flowers stamped in Memento Tuxedo black and die cut with Inspired by Stamping Fancy Label Dies 3 and PTI oval limitless layers dies.

You’re in Our Thoughts…

Hello

Today is ANZAC day

It is a day we remember those who have served our country

I am linking this card to the current challenge at Annabelle Stamps.

I started by using a sizzix oval die to emboss an oval shape. I stamped the sentiment from ABS Remember When in Versafine Onyx black ink. I made a mask with a post it note before I stamped ABS stemmed flowers in SU Marina Mist and Bashful Blue.

Stemmed Flowers + Butterfly Sunshine…

A colour challenge this month at Annabelle Stamps.

Click on the pic above to take you there.

I made this for Ms E’s friend’s birthday this coming weekend and I am linking to the challenge.

card in a box Chanelle 3

I created this card in a box using Annabelle Stamps Butterfly Sunshine and Stemmed Flowers. When I grabbed these stamp sets out I was pleased to find the butterflies already stamped and coloured left over from another project. I die cut the flowers from PTI Beautiful Blooms before stamping with ABS Stemmed flowers in PTI Winter Wisteria Ink – happy to find some of the stamps fitted into these dies. I did try hand cutting a few and that didn’t go so well. The leaves are die cut from SU Wild Wasabi CS using CC Designs Leafy Branch. The butterflies on the back section were stamped using SU More Mustard and PTI Winter Wisteria inks. The rest of the card used SU Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding and Wild Wasabi CS and Twitterpated and Just add cake patterned papers. The sentiment panel is from ABS Butterfly Sunshine and punched using SU Designer Label punch and some scrap CS.

Now I have done a little book work for work so I can  do some reading. I’m upto book three in the Outlander Series – boy are these big books 1000+ pages in this one.

Hope to find some more crafty time soon.

Thanks for coming by.

Cheers

Vicki

Oops! I forgot to post a pic of the back.

Ribbon Macarons?…

The challenge this fortnight at the Lollipop Ladies involves macarons and the extra challenge of ribbon.

TLL #77 Macarons

This is my card for the challenge.

IMG_3762

I used Annabelle stamps Stemmed Flowers stamped using Stampin UP! ink (Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango, Real Red and Pumpkin Pie).  I added a piece of white ribbon to the bottom of my card.

I used ribbon to make some hair clips. I used a technique similar to that in this Tutorial at Splitcoast stampers and also at Annabelle Stamps Blog with a brad in the centre.  I made a match book to gift them in using the same supplies as in the card.

Still school holidays today. Miss E had 3 exams today, Mr M has been a zoo keeper for the day and Miss S & Miss A have been a work with Dad for the day. Great chance for me to catch up on some paperwork – not the crafty kind either!

Here is a link to my caramel cardigan – I finally finished.
