stars 50th card (517x640)

Another significant birthday! This time for a friend’s hubby.

I started by punching stars from bits of pattern and plain paper and cardstock. I also have a few die cut gold foil ones too. I placed the numbers on the card front with foam tabs then started with the largest stars and stapled them to the card front.  Then working from largest to smallest star I added more stars with glue and foam tabs until I was happy with the result.

Looking forward to seeing you in the challenge – remember no stamps!

Until next time

Cheers

Vicki

Seeing Stars…

What do you think these? No quite how I pictured them but my kiddos think they are cool.

I have used Annabelle stamps a boy’s party and stamped the large star using SU ink in real red, lucky limeade, garden green, daffodil delight, pumpkin pie and tempting turquoise and the small stars I have used markers and picked one star and coloured from the circle of stars from the same set. The sparkly paper is punched using CP1 Carl star punch. The sentiment is from Annabelle stamps Garden Silhouettes.

I am linking this to the Challenge at CAS(E) this sketch

For my second card

I have again used SU inks and stamped the star from Annabelle stamps a boy’s party – I then cut them all out by hand. I die cut a star using Xcut star die in the front of my card base. I made a pouch with acetate sheet and put my stars, some glitter and gold star sequins into it before sealing it and taping to the inside of the front of the card. I stamped the sentiment from Annabelle stamps Ornamental Christmas in SU real red.

These are my creations for my post this week at The Lollipop Ladies – Stars and sparkle.

Pop over and check out the prize on offer this time.

Thanks for popping by

The Stamp Spot October Challenge…

I used Kaisercraft, SU(hope that passes the challenge rules – I needed a tree branch!)  and TGF stamps to create this card. I paper pierced the bird house and the birds. I also embossed the birdhouse – it doesn’t show up so well in the pic – maybe I should do that photography course? I think Miss 7 has “borrowed” my heart punch because I can’t find it anywhere! It took me ages a few weeks ago just to find the stapler she had “borrowed” from the study.

I am entering this card into the Stamp Spot October challenge.

Just thought I’d share a pic of my orchid. My mum had a few and when she passed I kept this one. It is the first time it has flowered since I have had it.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Lovely day here in Melbourne.

Cheers
