Pick a Pattern…

Hello

Today I’m sharing a quick thank you card.

I’m linking this up to the current challenge at Double D’s – Pick a Pattern here

GRAB OUR BADGE!

and never ending challenge at Stamplorations here

Miss S (19) and Ms A (14) are coaches of a local netball team and later today is the presentation day.  Of course at the last minute Ms S asked for a thank you card.  Fortunately I have been cutting my pattern paper into cardfront sizes in an attempt to use it up!  The card base with pattern papper and mount was sitting on top of the small pile on my desk top waiting for sentiment inspiration when the request was made and happens to match the colours of the potted tulips she purchased.  I added the die cut sentiment from Stamplorations popped up on fun foam and the flowers and leaves from my die cut stash also sitting on my desk.  So I feel I have used something up! unfortunately the tub still has loads of pieces in it!  I did finish up all the little leaves though.

Off to netball soon. Brrr looking at a wet and very chilly afternoon. Only 3 games to go for this season! We are currently sitting on the bottom of the ladder so no finals this year!.

Until next time

Thanks for stopping

Cheers

Green and Gold and first DT post for UnstampaBelles …

Hello

A little while back I won the challenge at UnstampaBelles and the lovely Susan asked me to join the DT.  This is my first post for the DT.

You can find the challenge blog here or on my side bar

The July challenge is colours of your country.  Now I am born and raised in Melbourne, Australia so my colours are red, white and blue.  For this challenge I have gone with the unofficial colours of green and gold (yellow).  And the twist for this challenge is make it square.

july 2016 DT 3 (640x602)

I created the window frame using SU Hearth and Home die cut in white cardstock and in foam for dimension.  I also cut into the Kaisercraft Confetti pattern paper to recess the window frame.  The flowers, leaves and tree were cut from scrap cardstock using Memory Box Arboscello Tree, CC Designs Leafy branch and SU Itty bitty accents punch. All finished with a few rhinestones. The card is 12.5 cm square.

I hope to see your creations in this months Unstampabelles Challenge.

Thanks for stopping

Showing Annabelle some ink…

Hello

Hope your week is going well.

We are heading into the last week of netball. Ms 19 & Ms 15’s team have made the Grand Final this coming weekend.

Very exciting. I have to keep telling myself it is just another game! It is a great achievement for the team. Last season the team only won one game for the entire season and this year Grand Finalists.

Anyway I am sure you didn’t stop by to hear about netball

Today I am sharing a card I made using Annabelle Stamps Designer Flower and co ordinating die. The flowers are stamped in MFT snow cone ink and SU So Saffron. The background was embossed with SU Modern Mosaic EF and the leaves were die cut using CC Designs Leafy Branch.

Stemmed Flowers + Butterfly Sunshine…

A colour challenge this month at Annabelle Stamps.

Click on the pic above to take you there.

I made this for Ms E’s friend’s birthday this coming weekend and I am linking to the challenge.

card in a box Chanelle 3

I created this card in a box using Annabelle Stamps Butterfly Sunshine and Stemmed Flowers. When I grabbed these stamp sets out I was pleased to find the butterflies already stamped and coloured left over from another project. I die cut the flowers from PTI Beautiful Blooms before stamping with ABS Stemmed flowers in PTI Winter Wisteria Ink – happy to find some of the stamps fitted into these dies. I did try hand cutting a few and that didn’t go so well. The leaves are die cut from SU Wild Wasabi CS using CC Designs Leafy Branch. The butterflies on the back section were stamped using SU More Mustard and PTI Winter Wisteria inks. The rest of the card used SU Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding and Wild Wasabi CS and Twitterpated and Just add cake patterned papers. The sentiment panel is from ABS Butterfly Sunshine and punched using SU Designer Label punch and some scrap CS.

Now I have done a little book work for work so I can  do some reading. I’m upto book three in the Outlander Series – boy are these big books 1000+ pages in this one.

Hope to find some more crafty time soon.

Thanks for coming by.

Cheers

If you guessed another 18th Birthday you would be correct. Sorry there will be a few more before the year is out.

This one is for Emma. This time the request was for blue and elegant.

I have used a Prima Mixed Media Stamp stamped in Memento tuxedo black and coloured with Kaisercraft Fusion and Spectrum Noir markers. I outlined my image with a soft grey. I added some wink of stella to her skirt ruffle and the bottom of her jacket and sleeves – you can’t see it in the pic, but it is there. I layered her onto La Carte Blue passion cardstock.  The card was finished off with CC designs leafy branch and MFT rolled roses with pearl centres.  No sentiment and the inside is blank as Miss E has taken to writing essays in her cards this days.  Maybe she is practising for her upcoming English exam.

Hope you have a great weekend planned. Enjoy.

Thanks for looking.

With a Flourish or two…

Happy Sunday everyone.

Sharing a couple of cards.

This first card I made using Flourishes Kids at Play and Annabelle Stamps Sentimental Bluebells “Happy Birthday” Sentiment.

IMG_3552

I started this card with a black card front. I cut the patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket Social Club just short of the amount I needed so I could trim and have my two black lines showing through. I then stamped my image using Versa fine Onyx Black on SBB kraft cardstock. I then used my distressing tool to sponge various inks onto my background. The sentiment was stamped onto a die cut scallop which I taped to the side of my image. Before I attached my image to the card front with foam tabs I felt it needed a little brightening up so I added some red cardstock from my scraps stash. I am linnking this upto the following challenges.

My second card uses Flourishes Kids at Play and the sentiment is from Call me also by Flourishes stamped in SU Crumb Cake ink. I have CAS(E) this card from http://flourishes.org/2013/06/focus-on-the-beach-and-more-about-silke/

For my card I have used SBB Kraft Cardstock, October Afternoon Farmhouse 8 x 8 pad along with Kaisercraft lace, Sizzix SU stripe embossing folder, Annabelle Stamps Natural Hemp Dienamics Rolled rose and CC Designs Leafy Branch dies. The button, ribbon, pearls and yellow cardstock are from my stash.

Happy Birthday Chanelle!

I have made this for Miss E’s friend who is having an 18th tonight.

You are probably saying to yourself right now there is a lot going on here on this card and tag!  As Chanelle loves owls – owls had to be involved. As for the colour choices – simple they had to match the owl necklace we bought at a chain jewellery store. She has a rather good sense of humour – so we managed to find (a child’s) back pack made of an all over owl print YEAH. We then proceeded to fill it with owl only contents YEAH. I’m sure others observing 3 girls and their mum shop were very entertained. I can’t say choosing a gift for Miss S (13) to take to her party tonight was as much fun.

??????????????????????????????????????????

What I have used

Stamps – Uniko Fontiments Birthday, Stampin UP! Pennant Parade

Paper – Cardstock – mostly bits a mix of American Crafts and unknown, Jillibean Soup Spotted Owl 6×6 pad

Punches and Dies – Fiskars 2″ circle, Stampin UP! Owl punch, PTI heart-2-heart #2, MFT Dienamics Traditional Tags Stax, Quickutz Deckhalls Alphabet, CC Designs Leafy Branch

Sizzix Chevron Embossing folder, scrap felt, Washi Tape from the Stamp Spot #60 and Kaszazz Organdy Orange ribbon

The Stamp Spot August Challenge

The Challenge at the Stamp Spot for August is orange, leaves and polka dots. I had to play along.

http://thestampspot.blogspot.com.au/2012/08/august-challenge-spots.html

I started my card with a green base of cardstock. I then added orange cardstock embossed using Cuttlebug Swiss dots, a small piece of green cardstock and two pieces of SU Just add Cake paper. I then added CC Design leafy branches and a felt flower cut from X Cut Blooms die. I added a green button from October Afternoon sidewalks secured with embroidery cotton. Finally I added a tag from PTI tiny tags stamped with SU Tangerine Tango ink and Versafine onyx black ink.

Hope you have had a great week.

Cheers

Jay Gees Nook Challenge JGNC22

This is a challenge over at http://jgsnook.blogspot.com.au/ and I thought I would play along.

I have taken my inspiration from the chevron stripes, floral prints and the texture of the folded fabrics.

I stamped the Chevron stripes from Papersmooches Geo graphic using SU Pumpkin pie ink. I added this to AC sixth avenue cardstock. I die cut a leaf from CC Designs leafy branch using scrap cardstock and a flower from PTI Aqua Mist felt using PTI Beautiful Blooms die. I placed a button from AnnaBelle Stamps in the centre with household twine. I also stamped the sentiment from PTI Mega Mixed Messages in versa fine onyx black. Handy to have a thank you card ready to go don’t you think?

Thanks for dropping by. I have another post a bit later.

Cheers
