Lil Michelle + AC180

Hi There

It was a wintery Sunday here so I got to spend a little time in my craft room.

The current challenge at Annabelle stamps

http://www.annabellestamps.blogspot.com.au/2014/06/june-challenge.html

I used the sketch and was inspired by another card I saw here http://lostinpaper.wordpress.com/2014/06/28/stampers-challenge-with-candibean/

IMG_4773 (640x367)

I stamped Lil Michelle in Memento tuxedo black onto X press blending cardstock before colouring her with Kaisercraft alcohol markers. I mounted her to some Kaisercraft paper from the 6″ La-di-da pad. I added a little scrap of red ribbon and glossy accents.

The girls and I have spent the day at Scienceworks and visiting my niece/their cousin. Now we are going to make pizza before Ms 14 goes to see the Fault in our Stars.

Thanks for stopping by

You’re in Our Thoughts…

Hello

Today is ANZAC day

It is a day we remember those who have served our country

I am linking this card to the current challenge at Annabelle Stamps.

I started by using a sizzix oval die to emboss an oval shape. I stamped the sentiment from ABS Remember When in Versafine Onyx black ink. I made a mask with a post it note before I stamped ABS stemmed flowers in SU Marina Mist and Bashful Blue.

Stemmed Flowers + Butterfly Sunshine…

A colour challenge this month at Annabelle Stamps.

Click on the pic above to take you there.

I made this for Ms E’s friend’s birthday this coming weekend and I am linking to the challenge.

card in a box Chanelle 3

I created this card in a box using Annabelle Stamps Butterfly Sunshine and Stemmed Flowers. When I grabbed these stamp sets out I was pleased to find the butterflies already stamped and coloured left over from another project. I die cut the flowers from PTI Beautiful Blooms before stamping with ABS Stemmed flowers in PTI Winter Wisteria Ink – happy to find some of the stamps fitted into these dies. I did try hand cutting a few and that didn’t go so well. The leaves are die cut from SU Wild Wasabi CS using CC Designs Leafy Branch. The butterflies on the back section were stamped using SU More Mustard and PTI Winter Wisteria inks. The rest of the card used SU Whisper White, Pistachio Pudding and Wild Wasabi CS and Twitterpated and Just add cake patterned papers. The sentiment panel is from ABS Butterfly Sunshine and punched using SU Designer Label punch and some scrap CS.

Now I have done a little book work for work so I can  do some reading. I’m upto book three in the Outlander Series – boy are these big books 1000+ pages in this one.

Hope to find some more crafty time soon.

Thanks for coming by.

Cheers

Vicki

This is my last Christmas card – for now. I still have some more I would like to make, but for the time being I need to put those aside and get a few Birthday cards ready. I am going to need a lot in the next 3 weeks. It is a very busy time in our house from now until Christmas.

I am linking this up to Annabelle Stamps and Crafty Hazelnut’s Christmas. Click on the pics above to take you to their sites.

I made this card using Annabelle Stamps Round for Christmas stamped with SU and PTI inks the green card stock is also SU.  I used a ruler and fine liner to draw the bauble strings. The sentiment is from PTI Communique Curves.

Had a great dance concert last night. The girls did OK. I had bought the tickets online and thought we were in the upper level, however I mucked up and had purchased the tickets 4 rows from the front. The girls could see us so each time they looked over they got an attack of the giggles.  Miss A received a trophy for full attendance this replaces the previous medal system. Previously a medal was presented gold for 100% attendance, silver for missing 1 class and bronze for missing 2 for the whole year.  Miss S received a medal for encouragement, in previous years she would have also received a silver medal. I don’t think she minds the change as her trophy shelf is pretty full. I must add Mr M made the comment that he deserved the trophy for full attendance as he walked Miss A to class every week after school.  That gave me a giggle.

Must get a wriggle on with those birthday cards whilst the boys are at basketball.

Thanks for stopping.

Cheers

Christmas Tree…

IMG_3896

I stamped the image from Annabelle Stamps Christmas Tree Trio in Stazon jet black and coloured with SU markers before layering onto SU Pink Pirouette Card stock. I then die cut the sentiment from Lifestyle crafts Christmas die and popped it all onto my card front.

I finished these book marks for my friend who organised the Cancer Fund Raiser Luncheon a few months back. I used Papersmooches Hope stamp set inked up with SU inks and added to a Docrafts Snowman tag die then finished with some blossom twine. As part of the thank you for attending each person who attends usually receives a Christmas card – this year my friend and the other organisers are laminating these bookmarks and sending them to each attendee. This is just a little something I can do for this great cause.

Update on my daughter’s exams. All done and dusted. Happy overall. Now we just wait for the results. All she needs is that magic number to get her into her chosen course – Forensics and Criminology.

Thanks for stopping.

Cheers

Another Merry Message…

Whilst the two youngest kiddos and hubby were out over the weekend and two eldest kiddos were studying for their exams I had a little time to play with some new stamps.

IMG_3895

I started by stamping a string line (for better term) in momento tuxedo black and ME Polar Pals. Onto that I stamped my baubles from Merry Messages in SU Pacific Point, Smoky slate and foliage in Old Olive using my stamp-a-ma-jig. The sentiment is from the same set also stamped in Pacific Point. Layered both these pieces onto SU Pacific Point card stock and attached to my card front. I added a little wink of stella to my silver baubles for some sparkle.

A Touch of Christmas…

Hi there – sorry this is a picture heavy post

IMG_3871

I used a CAS layout which came together quickly with the use of 1 1/4″ and 1 3/8″ square punches. I stamped my chosen images from Annabelle Stamps Merry Messages with SU Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Colorbox Heliotrope and Versa Color Indigo and punched out with the smaller of the punches. I then layered these onto matching card stock punched using the larger square. Once these were placed on the card front I stamped the sentiment in Memento tuxedo black. The sentiments are from Annabelle Stamps Merry Messages and Christmas Tree Trio and MFT Seasonal Sentiments.

I made 5 of each colour and alternated with 5 sentiments. So each colour has one of each sentiment.

Miss A has her eyes on these for her teachers and friends.

Here is a close up of some of the cards

Season’s Greetings…

IMG_3792

Hi. My second post for today. I have been making a bit of dent in the Christmas Cards.

I have used Annabelle stamps Round for Christmas, Ornamental Christmas and Gifted Swirls. I stamped the images in SU Pacific Point – some I also used clear embossing powder and versamark before heating with my heat tool. After I stamped the baubles from Ornamental Christmas I added Wink of Stella to them. All the sentiments are stamped in versafine onyx black. The cardstock is Blue passion from La Carta.

and another pic of the box

IMG_3798

I made the box by starting with the card stock (Kaisercraft) base size, adding the side measurement, cutting, scoring and taping. I did the same for the acetate lid. This box has 6 cards (2 of each) plus the envelopes. I could fit a few more in as these are flat cards.
