Uniko Flower power…

Hello

Today I am sharing a card I have made using Uniko Flower Power #6 & #7 combined with at sentiment from SSS.

I am linking up to the current challenges at

Virginia’s View here

and

Stamp Ink Paper Challenge #4 here

AT Inspiration Challenge 4

and

Loves Rubber Stamps challenge #159 here

Loves Rubberstamps Blog Challenges

Here is my card

Uniko flower power (640x456)

I used the two Uniko sets with SU inks in Soft Sky, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery and So Saffron.  I stamped the full images than the outline in a slightly darker ink mostly off centre. When complete I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamp It’s your birthday stamp set in memento tuxedo black ink. I mounted onto Pink Pirouette cardstock and attached to my card front. I card for my stash.

I also have a few tags I made using Uniko Flower Power and Mama Elephant stitched tag die from the basic set.

I used sentiments from Uniko Flower power #2 along with images from Flower Power #1 and #5 and Background Builders Flower Power.

This tag used background builders stamped with Bermuda Bay ink 3 times

tag 1 (640x479)

This tag used image from Flower Power #5 stamped with SU Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil delight ink

tag 3 (640x389)

The last tag used SU Night of Navy and Real Red ink and an image from Flower Power #1

tag 2 (640x340)

These were all fairly quick. As it is school holidays I have been a little busy with Museum, Scienceworks and zoo trips plus having the children’s friends over. It is a different type of busy to the normal school term which starts back on Monday.

I hope to share some more soon. The 3 girls have gone out with their Dad and Mr 17 is studying so that means I get a little uninterrupted play time with some new toys.

Cheers

And here is my card

Uniko nautical treasures (640x459)

I created my own patterned paper using Uniko Nautical Treasures in SU River Rock and Smoky Slate inks. The main image from Uniko Nautical Treasures is stamped with SU Smoky slate ink. I mounted with SU night of navy cardstock. I used Mama Elephant Sew Fancy Dies to create waves, pattern beside the main image and the stitching around the sentiment panel. I also used Inspired by Stamping Fancy Label dies 3 and a 2″ circle punch for the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from PTI Star prints stamped in SU night of Navy ink. The sentiment panel was attached to some double sided adhesive paper I have had for ages and attached to some fun foam to give dimension. The twine is from Annabelle Stamps.

Thanks for stopping

GRAB OUR BADGE

A few of the DT at SBB used Teresa Collins Everyday Moments paper. Knowing I had some hoarded saved I have used a little of it here.

ME Waterblooms (527x640)

I stamped Mama Elephant Water blooms with SU Daffodil Delight ink onto my white card stock and die cut with my brand new NBUS stitched tag from Mama Elephant Basic Set. I also cut one from my patterned paper. The yellow patterned paper is also cut with a stitched die from the same set. I stamped the sentiment from (NBUS) Mama Elephant Up and Away in SU Night of Navy ink. I punched a hole and threaded some ribbon through and tied with twine. As a finishing touch I added a few sequins from my stash.

Now in all fairness it took me a few tries to get this together. First I tried heat embossing gold to find I was trying to emboss glitter! After blowing gold glitter all over the floor No 1 in the bin. Second attempt used the gold embossing powder and was not happy with the results. Bin again. Third and fourth attempts uneven stamping – yep the bin again. By now I was a little determined. So my card now complete has my Fifth and final attempt at getting an image.

Before I go I want to share this quilt I finished recently

black and yellow 1 (640x564)

I had a jelly roll I purchased a while ago in my fabric stash and added the yellow and cream stripes of the same width. I layed the pieces out until I was happy with the colour flow, stitched the rows together and then proceeded to complete with 50/50 cotton&bamboo batting.

I used a yellow fabric on the back which has a circle pattern along with the black stripe for interest and to get the width of the fabric needed to back the quilt.

black and yellow back (626x640)

I quilted in the ditch along the horizontal lines only. I finished the quilt with black binding.

The finished size is 132cm x 144cm

Thanks for stopping

Here are my cards

and

and

I stamped my images from Stampin UP! Made with love and Something for Baby and die cut using Baby’s First Framelits.  I stamped 8 onto white cardstock. The striped ones I stamped twice once with a black outline and once in colour. The little butterflies come from The Greeting Farm Build a Onesie.  I used various inks including Stampin UP!, Tim Holtz and My Favourite Things. I coloured the details using Tim Holtz distress markers and Stampin UP! markers. All the onesies are popped up with foam tape. The sentiments are from Stampin UP! IMG_3584

I have used Christmas Baby Present Boy from Sweet November Stamps coloured with Spectrum Noir Markers. The background paper is from Lily bee designs Jingle Tiny tablet. Ahoy! Second Round…

This is my second post in the challenge at the Lollipop Ladies. You still have around 10 days to get your entry in to the challenge.

Pirates + Water

IMG_3569

I haven’t made one of these cards for ages and I don’t know why. They are super easy for great effect – in my opinion. Loads of free tutorials on the web – search tri shutter card. I have used Papermania Urban Stamp All Aboard Map stamped onto (unknown) cardstock in SU Lucky Limeade ink matted onto (unknown) cardstock. The pop up elements are again unknown – I have had those for a very very long time! I actually found them recently whilst looking for something else and went AH HAH I know just what project I am going to use them for. Can you spot a little touch of water under the pirate ship?  The digital image is from http://madamebogg.blogspot.com.au/  coloured with markers and fussy cut out.

IMG_3571

I had a little trouble getting a good pic of the pirate inside the card – the auto focus kept focusing on other elements of the card. I really must read the camera manual! Maybe that could be my next book club read? After all it is my turn to pick. We had book club at my place yesterday – I think we need a new name – couldn’t eat tea I ate so much at lunch time. Being school holidays we had a few of the children around too – good now they can keep themselves busy, although they do have a radar for when the sweet treats came out of the fridge. Any way enough of my waffle.

I have used the 3D stickers and the coloured cardstock is so old I don’t know where it came from.

Hope everything good where you are and thank you for stopping.

Going round in circles with a Flourish…

Hi There.

IMG_3568

I stamped my images from Flourishes Spring Blossom with versafine Onyx Black before colouring with my Spectrum Noir markers – mostly brights set. I also coloured a butterfly image from the Flourishes Old Tea Rose set and cut out. I die cut with a circle die and added to a scallop circle die cut. All this was fixed to a circle card base cut from the same circle die as the image.

I am linking this up to Flourishes Timeless Tuesday FTTC227 – I might just make this.

Something to indulge

IMG_3513

I saw this little notebook over at lawn fawn http://lawnfawn.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/mini-journals-with-nicole.html and made a little adjustment to the measurements to convert to metric + I sewed my pages rather than stapled them. I stamped my inside (plain computer) paper (10 x 14 cm) with ABS Garden Silhouettes using SU ink. I used the inspiration from a Topic Tuesday at Stamp Embellish Create using plain accetate sheet and blue tack to hold in place while I stamped. I was inspired when I first saw the stationery stamped like this on the original post.  http://www.annabellestamps.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/topical-tuesday-61-spring-stationery-set.html

The cardstock is SU Floral District, the brad is from my stash and the twine is WeRMK yellow baker’s twine.

Some of the inside pages before I sewed them in.

Thank you for all the lovely comments and tips. I don’t always reply to every individual comment, but rest assured I do read everyone and enjoy doing so. They often bring a smile or a chuckle.

Coming up for a long weekend here. A few jobs planned – a much needed trip to the hairdresser and new tyres for the car. Hopefully I will find some crafty time as there is no sport/kids activities this weekend.

Thanks for stopping – until next time

A little Bird…

IMG_3493

IMG_3492

I used a free digi from Birdie Brown along with Lawn Fawn Blissful Botanicals.

Birdie Brown

I coloured the main image using SU markers. I stamped the AC cardstock with a single flower from Blissful Botanicals in su ink – sorry doesn’t show very well in the pictues. I die cut a scalloped circle from PTI limitless layers and the coloured image from Lifestyle crafts nesting circles and added to card front. The butterflies are from SU beautiful wings embosslits. The flowers were stamped on AC cardstock, fussy cut and added to the base and then finished off with a gem. The sentiment is from ABS Party Animals 1 stamped in onyx black.
