A few things to share…

Happy Sunday.

First of all I would like to share a card I have made for the current Moxiefab Challenge

I have made this for a friend who had a birthday during the week.

IMG_3685

I have seen a few people use paint chips from the hardware store and have so wanted to try that and this challenge seemed the perfect one for a graded colour.  I chose Dulux Lily Legs in full, half and quarter strength. I punched out butterflies using Stampin UP! butterfly punch and finished with some rhinestones and a sentiment from SU Express Yourself.

I will also link up to

Anything Goes

Through the Craftroom Door

I intend to make a few gift tags to go with the card – I hope to get to that later today.  Before I do I need to help Miss A make a batch of Truffles for hubby’s birthday today.  He is out for a couple of hours so best do that while he isn’t here.

Before I go I will share a few other things I have been upto

Next

A few weeks ago I made a set of cards to take to a Cancer Fund Raiser Lunch a friend of mine helps to organise.

IMG_3605

She really liked them and asked me to make a card to put on everyone’s place at the luncheon.  So during the last week I have made a whole batch of these which I will donate to the luncheon. I spent most of yesterday colouring and sticking. The stamps are from Annabelle Stamps remember when and coloured them using Spectrum Noir PP1, Kasierfusion PO2 and Stampin UP! Wild Wasabi.

IMG_3682

and the finished card

IMG_3684

I hope the girls like them on Friday.

Lastly hubby’s birthday card

IMG_3686

I have used Stampin UP! Six Sided Sampler stamped straight on to the card front using SU Real Red, Smoky Slate and Kaisercraft Black ink. Just as I went to take the pic my lovely lab decided to take a sniff – so I appologise for the wet mark!  I made this while hubby was in the shower this morning – talk about leaving to the last minute.

An update Miss S did well in the dance concert last night. Last show this afternoon.

If you got this far – Thank you

Enjoy what is left of your Sunday

Cheers

Fancy a cuppa?

This is the Tuesday Trigger at Moxiefab World this week

IMG_3654

I had to link up – I think I will just make it. Those flowers on the teacup are gorgeous. Miss E and I don’t mind a cuppa in a nice cup. Even Mr M doesn’t mind a cup of green tea, not sure he would want his mates to know that!

I have used PTI Beautiful Blooms II and Boxes, Bags and Tags stamped using PTI aqua mist, SU Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink, Real Red and So Saffron along with some SU Tempting Turquoise card stock.

and

Miss S’s quilt is now finished.

IMG_3649

Although I don’t see it gracing her room anytime soon. The deal was she needs to make her bed everyday and keep her room tidy! I know a big ask for a 13 year old.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Triangles…

I have pulled out some older sets to use for this card.

IMG_3603

I have used SU Pennant Parade and SU Perfect Words. I stamped the triangles using SU Bermuda Bay and SU Smoky Slate markers to colour the stamp first and black ink.  I randomly stamped the triangles until I was happy. I added the stamped panel to my card front.

Monster Gift Tag…

Mr M (15) has a birthday party tonight and I have made this gift card holder.IMG_3595

I have used Annabelle stamps Lil Monster’s Balloon stamped in SU ink coloured with alcohol markers, fussy cut and popped up with foam tape. The sentiment is from the same set stamped with versafine onyx black. The gift card is a simple rectangle from Kaisercraft cardstock scored, folded and stuck with double sided tape with a circle punch at the top to make getting the gift card out easier.

Happy Birthday with PTI…

It is one of my nephews 16th Birthday in the next few days. I made this card using PTI Boy Basics Game on stamped with black ink and SU Tangerine Tango and the sentiment is from PTI Birthday Bash. I used washi tape TSS #13 and another I picked up from a craft show. I used hemp twine to make the game control and popped it up with a foam tab.

Happy Birthday Adele…

Hi. Hope your Monday has got off to a great start.IMG_3586

Miss E (17) has an 18th Birthday Party in a few weeks. Not your normal 18th – this one is high tea and the birthday girl has requested cook books. So you will see I have made a card along those lines. I came across a video of this card a couple of days ago and have made a variation of it. I also made a book mark – to go with the cook book she has requested!

IMG_3588

I have used products including American Crafts CS, October Afternoon farmhouse 8×8 patterned paper, SU Pool Party Ribbon, ABS Twine, Papersmooches Digits (for the sentiment), Do Crafts Tag die, PTI Tremendous treats Birthday, Memory Box large Alphabet, SU a 3/8″ square punch, EK Success 1 1/4″ square punch and MFT Always tea time die.

IMG_3587

and the back of the card I made differently than the video & inspiration as Miss E wanted a larger space to write on!

A touch of tangerine…

I came across this great video yesterday and was totally inspired.

IMG_3578

I made this very cute and really simple gift box. I used some retired Stampin UP! 12″ x 12″ cardstock I think it is stitches or something like that please forgive me. I used a strip of SU Polka Dot Parade CS for the belly band and the new label love set stamped with SU Lucky Limeade and used the co ordinating Artisan Punch. As I was making this up I realised I was using the colours from the Moxiefab World Tuesday Trigger. Now if I had realised before I started I would have used some chevrons or stripes too – basing my link on the colours only.

Almost the end of the school holidays. Just a few more days left. Should be back into our routine by Tuesday when everyone is back at work/school.

Something to indulge

IMG_3513

I saw this little notebook over at lawn fawn http://lawnfawn.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/mini-journals-with-nicole.html and made a little adjustment to the measurements to convert to metric + I sewed my pages rather than stapled them. I stamped my inside (plain computer) paper (10 x 14 cm) with ABS Garden Silhouettes using SU ink. I used the inspiration from a Topic Tuesday at Stamp Embellish Create using plain accetate sheet and blue tack to hold in place while I stamped. I was inspired when I first saw the stationery stamped like this on the original post.  http://www.annabellestamps.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/topical-tuesday-61-spring-stationery-set.html

The cardstock is SU Floral District, the brad is from my stash and the twine is WeRMK yellow baker’s twine.

Some of the inside pages before I sewed them in.

Thank you for all the lovely comments and tips. I don’t always reply to every individual comment, but rest assured I do read everyone and enjoy doing so. They often bring a smile or a chuckle.

Coming up for a long weekend here. A few jobs planned – a much needed trip to the hairdresser and new tyres for the car. Hopefully I will find some crafty time as there is no sport/kids activities this weekend.

Thanks for stopping – until next time

Some more new things…

IMG_3080

Sorry for the shine on this pic – I really must do something about learning to take proper pics! I am linking this card up to the Moxie Fab background challengeThe Make Your Own Background Paper Challenge

I have used some new Stampin UP! products. I made my own background paper using Madison Avenue and the sentiment is from Pretty Petites using Real Red and black ink. I also used the new curly label punch and SU ink and CS. The black is cotton tape left over from a sewing project.

Saw the Life of Pi earlier tonight with bookclub/walking friends.  Don’t want to spoil it for any one who may wish to read the book or watch the movie.  Movie more like the book than I thought it would be.

Any way must go – it’s late and I am taking my 4 to Scienceworks tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by

Cheers
