A few Christmas Cards…

Hello

I have a few cards I made over the weekend. Hopefully they have made their way to Linda who has kindly co-ordinated the Aussie leg of the Caring Hearts Card Drive. You can read all about it here

A Touch of Christmas…

Hi there – sorry this is a picture heavy post

IMG_3871

I used a CAS layout which came together quickly with the use of 1 1/4″ and 1 3/8″ square punches. I stamped my chosen images from Annabelle Stamps Merry Messages with SU Lucky Limeade, Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Colorbox Heliotrope and Versa Color Indigo and punched out with the smaller of the punches. I then layered these onto matching card stock punched using the larger square. Once these were placed on the card front I stamped the sentiment in Memento tuxedo black. The sentiments are from Annabelle Stamps Merry Messages and Christmas Tree Trio and MFT Seasonal Sentiments.

I made 5 of each colour and alternated with 5 sentiments. So each colour has one of each sentiment.

Miss A has her eyes on these for her teachers and friends.

Here is a close up of some of the cards

I started with an image from Flourishes Spring Blossoms and coloured with alcohol markers. I hand cut into a tag shape, rounded the bottom corners and mounted onto some American Crafts cardstock. I popped this up with foam tape and layered this onto my card front with MME Miss Caroline 6×6 paper. I used an american crafts border punch along the top.  I used some ribbon to form a bow and added a button from my stash with some natural twine. The sentiment is from Inspired by Stampin Big Wishes. I finished off with some wink of stella on the flowers.

Before I go just a pic of my eldest before her graduation dinner last week.

She had her first year 12 exam today – 6 more to go!

She has 7 in total as the maths exams are split into 2.

Note: I cropped her head out of the pic because I haven’t asked her if she minds if I share!

Washi tape

I just made some washi tape. I used X press tape, tissue paper, AnnaBelle stamps Round for Christmas and SU Marina Mist ink.

I then put this onto my card front which had been stamped with snowflakes along with banners cut from cardstock.

This fits into two challenges

and

What do you think? It wasn’t that hard to make – just need to make sure you secure one end of the X press it tape first.

Cheers
