Showing Annabelle some ink…

Hello

Hope your week is going well.

We are heading into the last week of netball. Ms 19 & Ms 15’s team have made the Grand Final this coming weekend.

Very exciting. I have to keep telling myself it is just another game! It is a great achievement for the team. Last season the team only won one game for the entire season and this year Grand Finalists.

Anyway I am sure you didn’t stop by to hear about netball

Today I am sharing a card I made using Annabelle Stamps Designer Flower and co ordinating die. The flowers are stamped in MFT snow cone ink and SU So Saffron. The background was embossed with SU Modern Mosaic EF and the leaves were die cut using CC Designs Leafy Branch.

Round in circles meets Awesomely Artistic…

Hello

School holidays are under way here. Yesterday we had a visit to the dentist for Ms 15, Ms 10 and me. Ms 15 and I had a seal on a tooth each and I had to have a filling replaced as it had fallen out and I hadn’t noticed! My dentist’s father had put the original filling in when I was much younger. Today was a trip to the orthodontist for Ms 15 to check her plate. I think that is all the necessary stuff sorted so we should be able to enjoy the rest of the break.

Anyway you didn’t visit today to hear about our dental visits.

Today I am sharing a card I have made using a mix of stamp sets.

I wanted to get another masculine card made for my stash – I think I will have a few more boy birthdays soon.

I am linking to the challenge at Uniko – Anything goes with optional twist of masculine here

I had the Uniko stamp set Background Builders Round in Circles, SU Smoky slate and Real red inks on my desk with Island Indigo ink when I saw the SIP challenge. I switched the Island Indigo for Bermuda bay and added the new set of SU Awesomely Artistic and the Uniko Studio Classic Numbers sentiment.

Here is my card

uniko round in circles (640x466)

I mounted the main panel onto SU real red cardstock. I have kept most of the stamping to the bottom 2/3.

And here is my card

Uniko nautical treasures (640x459)

I created my own patterned paper using Uniko Nautical Treasures in SU River Rock and Smoky Slate inks. The main image from Uniko Nautical Treasures is stamped with SU Smoky slate ink. I mounted with SU night of navy cardstock. I used Mama Elephant Sew Fancy Dies to create waves, pattern beside the main image and the stitching around the sentiment panel. I also used Inspired by Stamping Fancy Label dies 3 and a 2″ circle punch for the sentiment panel. The sentiment is from PTI Star prints stamped in SU night of Navy ink. The sentiment panel was attached to some double sided adhesive paper I have had for ages and attached to some fun foam to give dimension. The twine is from Annabelle Stamps.

GRAB OUR BADGE

A few of the DT at SBB used Teresa Collins Everyday Moments paper. Knowing I had some hoarded saved I have used a little of it here.

ME Waterblooms (527x640)

I stamped Mama Elephant Water blooms with SU Daffodil Delight ink onto my white card stock and die cut with my brand new NBUS stitched tag from Mama Elephant Basic Set. I also cut one from my patterned paper. The yellow patterned paper is also cut with a stitched die from the same set. I stamped the sentiment from (NBUS) Mama Elephant Up and Away in SU Night of Navy ink. I punched a hole and threaded some ribbon through and tied with twine. As a finishing touch I added a few sequins from my stash.

Now in all fairness it took me a few tries to get this together. First I tried heat embossing gold to find I was trying to emboss glitter! After blowing gold glitter all over the floor No 1 in the bin. Second attempt used the gold embossing powder and was not happy with the results. Bin again. Third and fourth attempts uneven stamping – yep the bin again. By now I was a little determined. So my card now complete has my Fifth and final attempt at getting an image.

Before I go I want to share this quilt I finished recently

black and yellow 1 (640x564)

I had a jelly roll I purchased a while ago in my fabric stash and added the yellow and cream stripes of the same width. I layed the pieces out until I was happy with the colour flow, stitched the rows together and then proceeded to complete with 50/50 cotton&bamboo batting.

I used a yellow fabric on the back which has a circle pattern along with the black stripe for interest and to get the width of the fabric needed to back the quilt.

black and yellow back (626x640)

I quilted in the ditch along the horizontal lines only. I finished the quilt with black binding.

The finished size is 132cm x 144cm

A few things to share…

Happy Sunday.

First of all I would like to share a card I have made for the current Moxiefab Challenge

I have made this for a friend who had a birthday during the week.

IMG_3685

I have seen a few people use paint chips from the hardware store and have so wanted to try that and this challenge seemed the perfect one for a graded colour.  I chose Dulux Lily Legs in full, half and quarter strength. I punched out butterflies using Stampin UP! butterfly punch and finished with some rhinestones and a sentiment from SU Express Yourself.

I will also link up to

Anything Goes

Through the Craftroom Door

I intend to make a few gift tags to go with the card – I hope to get to that later today.  Before I do I need to help Miss A make a batch of Truffles for hubby’s birthday today.  He is out for a couple of hours so best do that while he isn’t here.

Before I go I will share a few other things I have been upto

Next

A few weeks ago I made a set of cards to take to a Cancer Fund Raiser Lunch a friend of mine helps to organise.

IMG_3605

She really liked them and asked me to make a card to put on everyone’s place at the luncheon.  So during the last week I have made a whole batch of these which I will donate to the luncheon. I spent most of yesterday colouring and sticking. The stamps are from Annabelle Stamps remember when and coloured them using Spectrum Noir PP1, Kasierfusion PO2 and Stampin UP! Wild Wasabi.

IMG_3682

and the finished card

IMG_3684

I hope the girls like them on Friday.

Lastly hubby’s birthday card

IMG_3686

I have used Stampin UP! Six Sided Sampler stamped straight on to the card front using SU Real Red, Smoky Slate and Kaisercraft Black ink. Just as I went to take the pic my lovely lab decided to take a sniff – so I appologise for the wet mark!  I made this while hubby was in the shower this morning – talk about leaving to the last minute.

An update Miss S did well in the dance concert last night. Last show this afternoon.

If you got this far – Thank you

Enjoy what is left of your Sunday

Cheers

Vicki

Celebrate…

Happy Monday.

We have a few birthdays coming up.  Think this will be handy to have in my card stash.

IMG_3657

I have used Papersmooches Geo-Graphic stamped using PTI Dark Chocolate and SU Sahara Sand cut into a banner with some scraps from my stash. I stamped the sentiment from Papersmooches Birthday Sampler and then stamped the balloons from Papersmooches Hullabaloo using SU Rose Red and Daffodil Delight. I then added some glossy accents to the balloons. This mornings sun made them shine in the picture.

Happy Birthday Adele…

Hi. Hope your Monday has got off to a great start.IMG_3586

Miss E (17) has an 18th Birthday Party in a few weeks. Not your normal 18th – this one is high tea and the birthday girl has requested cook books. So you will see I have made a card along those lines. I came across a video of this card a couple of days ago and have made a variation of it. I also made a book mark – to go with the cook book she has requested!

IMG_3588

I have used products including American Crafts CS, October Afternoon farmhouse 8×8 patterned paper, SU Pool Party Ribbon, ABS Twine, Papersmooches Digits (for the sentiment), Do Crafts Tag die, PTI Tremendous treats Birthday, Memory Box large Alphabet, SU a 3/8″ square punch, EK Success 1 1/4″ square punch and MFT Always tea time die.

IMG_3587

and the back of the card I made differently than the video & inspiration as Miss E wanted a larger space to write on!

Ahoy me hearties…

Sorry couldn’t help that.

This weeks challenge at the Lollipop Ladies is Pirate Lollipops and water.

I made this card using a digi image from http://madamebogg.blogspot.com.au/ coloured with markers along with stamps from Hero Arts and My Cute Stamps. Plus Heidi Grace patterned paper,  cardstock from my stash and Sizzix Woodgrain embossing folder.

IMG_3549

I tore the cardstock and layered before stamping my images onto the underwater scene. I stamped the shells and star fish onto scraps and cut out before adding to the water. The Pirate is standing on a piece of embossed woodgrain cardstock – like a part of a ship or a jetty. The sun is stamped and a punched circle added for the centre.

I was having fun so I made a second card.

IMG_3545

Using PTI Tremendous  Treats, My Cute Stamps – Fishy Fun and AnnaBelle Stamps Boy’s Party images. I have coloured the pirate with alcohol markers and Tim Holtz black soot.  I added some sparkle to my pirate with some glitter on his skull and cross.  I layered by using circle punches and popped up with foam tabs. The little boats are coloured with SU markers before being hand cut.
