Hello
Today it is my turn to share my creation for the current challenge at Unstampabelles here
Hello
You still have a little time to play with us at Unstampabelles.
As I type this there are only 2 entries – good chances to win the prize.
You can see all the details here
My challenge supplies
I have gone with a pretty simple theme of circles. I used various circle punches to punch out from silver paper, pattern paper and plain black cs. I used the silver washi tape above on scrap paper and punched out and used the tiny little black buttons. Some of the silver paper is embossed – a left over embossed piece from another project. The sentiment is a die cut from mini treat bag.
I am linking this upto the current challenge at Seize the birthday here – toppings to use punches or die cut – I used both
Hope you have time to join in the challenge and use some buttons and washi tape I know many of you have.
Until next time
Cheers
Vicki
Hello
For some reason my birthdays seem to come in batches!
This week we have 3 birthdays over 2 days.
Starting yesterday with Ms 16’s Boyfriend’s 16th birthday – yes she is older by 5 or 6 weeks!
He likes Star Wars – so much that he couldn’t wait until Christmas for his gift (a star wars t shirt & bag) because he wanted to wear it to the midnight screening of the new movie.
So after lots of googling this is what we decided on. We were inspired by this card here.
Some punch art with a simple stamped greeting from The Paper company Birthday stamp set. The whole darth vader image is popped up with foam tape.
I am linking this to the current challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters here – something old, something new
All the punches used are old, as is the stamp set – the new are enamel dots.
Two more Birthdays today
Today is a double birthday – my friend’s daughter is 16 and Mr M turns 18.
Mr M is a huge Marvel Avengers fan along with Dr Who and Star Wars. As I made the Darth Vader card for Ms S’s boyfriend and I have made him a Dr who inspired card here and here in the past it was time for a Marvel inspired card. Again lots of googling!
Thanks to these sites here and here for inspiration
I used A4 cardstock and cut to 10.5 cm and scored at 10.5 cm intervals to create a concertina card and added additional “pages” until I had the number I needed.
This is the inside of the card
left to right
Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Iron man and the Black Widow (my version needs a little work she needs to be a little slimmer!)
I am linking this card up to the challenge at the Male Room here
To make the card front I used SU – Number of Years stamp and die set along with PTI Birthday Bash stamp set stamped with SU Real Red and Night of Navy ink and cardstock. I cut the numbers from fun foam to help raise them off the card front – this is so much easier than using multiple layers of cardstock. I have used lots of punches and dies to create the characters within the card. Some of these didn’t come out as expected, I am just going with it! I know the green arrow is missing and also hawk eye – maybe another time?
Ms 11 has put in a request for a card like this for her next birthday with little pet shop as the theme – in December!
and the final card for today
Once again I have used the SU Number of Years stamp set and die and used fun foam die cut to add dimension. I also used Inspired by stamping spring lilacs ribbon collection. Colours are SU very vanilla, perfect plum, so saffron and early espresso stamped off onto scrap first as I thought it may be too dark for this card.
I am linking this card up to the challenge at The Colour Tree here
This is the quilt I made for my friend’s daughter
Another disappearing nine patch. Quilted in the ditch around the 1/4 squares of the original nine patch. Quilt measures 130 cm x 160 cm . It consists of 8 fabrics cut into 180 5″ squares in the blocks plus backing fabric (plain white) and black cotton binding fabric. When I decided to make this quilt her colour preference was mauve and a French theme. I have spent a few months collecting the fabrics, who knew mauve wasn’t such a “big” colour and “French theme” isn’t so big either. I can bet next time I go into a fabric store both those themes will be everywhere. One of the fabrics has French words, the Eiffel Tower, lace and other images and is also mauve so that had to be included. I’m hoping her taste hasn’t changed significantly and she will use this for a few years.
Sorry for such a mammoth post
Thanks for hanging in til the end
Until next time
Cheers
Vicki

and here is my card
and
I layered my card where the original used peep holes and added a sentiment. I have used SU Two by Two coloured with markers and crayons. I punched the image using 1″ punch and layered onto red scrap CS using a 1 1/8″ punch, The card front is AC CS embossed with Chevron embossing folder. The white and beige cs are from my stash. I used AC Mini scallop border punch on the white cs. I used SU pool party marker to colour sentiments “Welcome Boys!” from PTI Hanging Out to make the banner.
School holidays have started here. Last night Ms 18 had friends over for pizza and movie night. We made our own pizza base and the girls added all their own toppings. The girls followed this with hot jam donuts and ice cream with sprinkles.
This is one of their creations – heart shaped with philly and oregano topping.
Thanks for stopping by

I am linking the following cards upto the challenges at
Uniko Challenge #3 – use Washi tape
and
Moxie Fab – use washi tape or stickers
I have made a set of 4 cards.
I used washi tape from My Mind’s Eye, Uniko Stamp Sets Background Builders Round in Circles and Fontiments Birthday along with 1 1/8″ circle punch and Stampin UP! ornament punch. I used a fine tip pen to create the bauble strings and added sequins, bling and wink of stella Clear to add some sparkle.
Here are a few more pics

It was the Footy Grand Final here today. Hope your team won!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Waltzing Mouse Stamps are having a Pajama Party this weekend. Last week I received my first order of their stamps so I’m joining in. Warning this is pic heavy!
Challenge 1 – Knot or twine
I have used Half Pint Heroines stamped onto various papers including Kaisercraft La Di Da Collection 6″ paper pad and scrap papers and fussy cut. I masked the clouds and sponged on some colour. I then used glitter for the clouds – it needed a bit of sparkle! The sentiment is from Half Pint Heros and is punched using Stampin UP! Modern Label punch. I also used Calypso coral cardstock. This challenge needed a knot or twine. I used some twine from the Rusty Rose on the hot air balloon.
Challenge 2 – Nautical
I used Half heros coloured with alcohol markers. I made the life buoy using 1 3/4″ and 1 1/8″ circle punches and scraps of cardstock. I added twine from Hemptique which is threaded through a button from my stash.
Challenge 3 – Colour Challenge
I used stamps from Teeny Trees stamped in Stampin UP! Basic Black, Pacific Point, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and Cherry Cobbler. The mount cardstock is pacific point.
Challenge 4 – Oldest stamp or oldest WMS
I think my oldest stamp is a Stampin UP! wood mount seeing spots. I still use it sometimes but seeing in this challenge I could opt to use my oldest WMS and seeing I only just got mine I had to ink up another set. For this card I used Eat Cake with silver and white embossing powder some punched flowers (punch brand unknown), some rhinestones and Pacific point ink and cardstock.
Another pic – bit hard to get a pic of the white embossing.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping.
Cheers
Vicki
Happy Sunday everyone.
Sharing a couple of cards.
This first card I made using Flourishes Kids at Play and Annabelle Stamps Sentimental Bluebells “Happy Birthday” Sentiment.
I started this card with a black card front. I cut the patterned paper from Cosmo Cricket Social Club just short of the amount I needed so I could trim and have my two black lines showing through. I then stamped my image using Versa fine Onyx Black on SBB kraft cardstock. I then used my distressing tool to sponge various inks onto my background. The sentiment was stamped onto a die cut scallop which I taped to the side of my image. Before I attached my image to the card front with foam tabs I felt it needed a little brightening up so I added some red cardstock from my scraps stash. I am linnking this upto the following challenges.
and
(I turned this sketch to the side)
My second card uses Flourishes Kids at Play and the sentiment is from Call me also by Flourishes stamped in SU Crumb Cake ink. I have CAS(E) this card from http://flourishes.org/2013/06/focus-on-the-beach-and-more-about-silke/
This is the original
and mine
For my card I have used SBB Kraft Cardstock, October Afternoon Farmhouse 8 x 8 pad along with Kaisercraft lace, Sizzix SU stripe embossing folder, Annabelle Stamps Natural Hemp Dienamics Rolled rose and CC Designs Leafy Branch dies. The button, ribbon, pearls and yellow cardstock are from my stash.

Thanks for stopping and taking a peek. I enjoy reading the comments you leave.
Hope the rest of your weekend is great.

Sorry couldn’t help that.
This weeks challenge at the Lollipop Ladies is Pirate Lollipops and water.
I made this card using a digi image from http://madamebogg.blogspot.com.au/ coloured with markers along with stamps from Hero Arts and My Cute Stamps. Plus Heidi Grace patterned paper, cardstock from my stash and Sizzix Woodgrain embossing folder.
I tore the cardstock and layered before stamping my images onto the underwater scene. I stamped the shells and star fish onto scraps and cut out before adding to the water. The Pirate is standing on a piece of embossed woodgrain cardstock – like a part of a ship or a jetty. The sun is stamped and a punched circle added for the centre.
I was having fun so I made a second card.
Using PTI Tremendous Treats, My Cute Stamps – Fishy Fun and AnnaBelle Stamps Boy’s Party images. I have coloured the pirate with alcohol markers and Tim Holtz black soot. I added some sparkle to my pirate with some glitter on his skull and cross. I layered by using circle punches and popped up with foam tabs. The little boats are coloured with SU markers before being hand cut.
I am linking up to these challenges
– at least 7 embellishments – my first card has 4 shells + 3 star fish = 7 embellishments

A busy week(end) for us.
Miss 12 is now Miss 13 and these are the cake toppers for her party on Saturday night.
I used ABS stamps, the new ABS digi paper and the back was plain card stock. I posted a pic of her birthday card a few days ago – so if you missed it scroll down.
She celebrated with about 15 girls at home with pizza.
And Miss 7 is Miss 8 today these are the cake toppers for her party on Sunday and she celebrated with 14 girls and some party pies, chips and other party food.
I used PTI tiny birthday treats and cardstock.
I used ABS Tomorrow’s Dream for her card coloured with markers before being cut out along with MSS Simple Salutations, Creativ ABC and PTI Heart-2-Heart #2 for the balloon. I also used paper from Jillibean Soup and MFT die.
Now don’t think it’s all over – later in the week Miss 16 will be Miss 17 – so I will be back later in the week to share her card.
Thanks for visiting and taking time to leave such lovely comments.
Cheers
Vicki
I have used ME Polar Pals & Believe in Magic along with the sentiment from AnnaBelle Stamps Ornamental Christmas. I coloured using various markers from SU and Marvy Le Plume. CS and ink are SU (tempting turquoise).
I followed the sketch from CAS(E) #5 and I am linking up to that challenge.
I am also linking this card to this challenge at Jay Gee’s Nook.
I think the turquoise matches the baubles. I do like these penguins – even though it is hot here at Christmas – they are so cute!
Hope to be back later with another card.
Have a great day.
Cheers
Vicki
