Scrapbook Boutique October challenge…

Hello

Cutting this very fine again!

Here is my entry for this months challenge at Scrapbookboutique here

Ms S has her first year 12 exam tomorrow.  She has been getting a colleague of hubbies (an English teacher) to read and make comments on her essays so we will be giving this lady who has been so generous with her time something before the year is out in way of a big thank you.  So I have made this card for her.

I have used MFT Contemporary roses, Stamplorations die, some gold foil paper and sequins.

Thanks for stopping

Hope to be back soon

Cheers

A couple more for Mother’s Day…

Hello

I am sharing a few cards I have made for a stall I will have at the Mother’s Day Artisan Market at Sussex Street Neighbourhood house here or here.

This first one if for the mum who is a tea drinker.

mothers day 2016 (640x479)

I have teamed Jane’s Doodles Tearrific with ABS Designer flowers and coloured with alcohol markers.

mother's day 2016 (503x640)

And for the mum who likes coffee Jane’s Doodles Coffee Time with ABS Designer Flowers.  A little masking this time and again coloured with Alcohol markers.  I was lucky enough to win the Jane’s Doodles Coffee time stamp set from SRM recently.

What do you prefer? Coffee or Tea?

For me I have cut down to usually one coffee per day and almost no black tea (I use to drink a lot of both) to drinking green teas and herbal infusions. Ms E (20) and I have a dedicated tea shelf.  And don’t ask how many pots or infusers we have!

Lastly this one

Enjoy your weekend.

Flowers for Mother’s Day…

Hello

Today I am sharing a Mother’s Day card.

I am linking up to the following challenges

Scrapbook Boutique – April mood board here

and

Spring Flowers // April showers at Eclectic Ellapu here
SBB April 2016 2 (480x640)
I used images from MFT Contemporary Roses, PTI Beautiful Blooms II and ABS Designer Flowers stamped with my colorbox Que inks.  These inks haven’t been used for a while so I was surprised that they were still rather juicy. I also used SU pretty in pink for the roses and Momento Luxe for the sentiment.  The panel was mounted onto pink cardstock and then all added to the card base.  Finished with a little sprinkling of sequins.
While I had out ABS Designer Flowers I made a second card.  Will share that one later.
Thanks for stopping

I stamped MFT Contemporary Roses stamp set with SU Pink Pirouette and pretty in pink ink.  The leaves are coloured with SU certainly celery marker before stamping. I created the tag with a tag punch and finished with some twine.  Not sure if I will use it as a tag or will add it to a card front later.

A sparkly Thank you

Hello

A special thank you card for Ms 9’s dance teacher. This card was given to her at last nights dance concert.

I started by creating the dance shoe from an old stencil using texture paste mixed with various brown inks from both markers and ink pads. The card front is stamped with sentiments from MFT Contempory roses and Girly Graphic t shirt  onto SU Moonlight patterned paper. I little embarrassed to say I’ve had Girly Graphic a while and don’t think I have inked up before this card. I used some black cardstock to mount and popped the tap shoe up with foam tape after adding some SU ribbon to the shoe.

Thank you dance teacher

I am linking this up to the last challenge at Crafting with dragonflies.

The challenge is anything goes with the added option of farewell.

I wish the DT all the best and in particular Hilde who has a personal battle to overcome. Wishing her all the best and with her other upcoming plans.

I love badge

Now I need to prepare for the upcoming birthdays.

Thanks for stopping for a peek

Cheers

I used MFT Contemporary Roses stamped in SU Pretty in Pink and PTI Lavender Moon. The leaves are stamped in SU Certainly Celery and hand cut.

The flower is popped up with foam tape onto the card front. The tag is stamped with images from Papersmooches Botanicals 2 and created by using the SU Angled tag Topper Punch with a small piece of brown cs along one edge.

The lavender cs is embossed with Sizzix  Floral Flourishes embossing folder. The remaining embellisments are ABS twine, sequins from a local dance shop and a touch of clear wink of stella.
