Parties!

Hello

I’m back to share a few more cards.

Mr 24 and Ms 22 both have parties this weekend and took these first 2 cards as fast as the ink dried!

How cute is this otter? Simple alcohol colouring. I added the “21” just in time for Mr 24 to head out the door.

This image from Driving by was again coloured with markers. It has gone off with Ms 22 for a friend’s birthday.

Lastly this one is for Quest 6 with Uniko’s birthday celebrations. I used Uniko Bright Butterflies dies, joyful butterflies digital paper and Simply Said stamp set. I finished the centres of the butterflies with a few rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by

Cheers

Hello…

Hello

My poor neglected blog followers.  I am sorry for lack of posts! No plausable excuse for my lack of posts and lack of comments on other blogs.

Warning long catch up post!

Today I am popping in to share a jumper I finished a few weeks ago and has taken me months to complete! If the weather stays how it has been the last few days I might get to wear it before next winter ūüôā

Excuse the silly pose I was acting up for Ms 13.

I have created a few cards including sympathy cards that unfortunately went out the door faster than I could take a pic of them.¬† The kiddos have mostly been using my stash cards and I have added a sentiment or die cut number appropriate for the recipient. Mr M has requested “21” on all sorts of cards including a baby card! I recently sent some of last years Christmas card makes to Aussie Farmers I saw a collection for on Facebook.

Recent requested 21st cards

I have also been busy sewing.  Continuing on with my contributions to Days for Girls and also a few presents.  These were a recent 1st Birthday gift.

Pinafore Leggins Unicorn PJ’sSomething to cuddle

In early November I decided to start a new quilt for an upcoming December Birthday. None of the quilts in my stash were suitable! I’ll share pics of that when it is completed – it is a secret project.

I am not going to make promises about regular posts from now til post Christmas there is loads on the calender. Between now and mid January my 4 kiddos have a birthday + 2 of their partners – 6 birthdays in about 6 weeks including two 21st’s.¬† We had one last week too.¬† We will also be hosting Christmas lunch. Ms 18 is squeezing in a 2 week trip to USA.¬† I wish I could get her to do some crafty shopping for me ūüôā¬† She is in the first group of Victoria University students ever to go to NASA.¬† And to top it off my boss would like me to work full time so I have declined the offer and am busy job hunting again. Just quietly I would be happy staying in my craft room.

Many of my regular readers may be familiar with my December/Christmas calender – we will survive the silly season.¬† I hope you don’t feel to exhausted reading some of the things on my calender for the next few weeks. It will be OK.¬†I have learnt over the years it is OK to say no.

Until next time

Cheers

This weeks requests…

Hello

This week one of the kiddos requested a Harry Potter inspired card.

I CASed this card from here

I free hand drew the hair and the scar before cutting out. I used SU Celebrate today for the “happy” and Number of Years for the “st”.¬† The die cut numbers are from Papersmooches popped up with foam tabs.¬† The glasses were made with circle punches and a strip of cs.

And for another 21st

A quick and easy card along with a personalised envelope.   The envelope was large enough for the personalised luggage tag and gift card and the card.  I CASed the envelope from here

And my last share for today is Ms A’s request. Ms A chose all the elements including the card base.¬† For my regular readers you wont be surprised she was very specific about what colour papers had to go where!

Thats all for today

Thanks for stopping by

Cheers

Vicki

As requested…

Hello

If you have been following me for sometime you would know Ms E (20) is always forward and specific in her requests for cards. ¬†Well we have hit a new level. ¬†I was requested to make a card by her friend’s boyfriend to give to the said friend for her 21st! Follow?

How could I say no.

img_7522-478x640

I started by heat embossing “s” a number of times onto orange card stock which I then punched out with 3/4″ circle punch. These were added to the main card front with some being added with foam tape. ¬†Some of you may be wondering what the “s” circle things are. Ms A (11) thought they were bubbles! and Ms S (16) thought they were smarties. ¬†She was pretty close – the request was for orange skittles. I believe Smarties don’t have an “s”. ¬†I thought there maybe to many skittles, but the response I got was “you can’t have too many skittles”

The sentiments and die cuts are from various sets from papersmooches, PTI, Uniko and Stampin UP!. And as requested I stamped words on the inside of the card.

I will link this up to the current challenge at Seize the birthday here РAnything Goes

One of the ladies I know is collecting hats for prem babies.  I used a pattern from the Craftsy website here by Charm knits and another pattern I am not sure where I got it from.  Thank you to the designers for their patterns.

A few cards…

Hello

Today we had a small family celebratory lunch for one of my husband’s brothers who recently turned 50.

50th birthday card (480x640)

He is a teacher so Papersmooches Smarty pants seemed the right choice. ¬†I coloured the pencils with alcohol markers after stamping with memento tuxedo black ink. Ms A (11) had a lot of fun directing me to which combinations I should use! ¬†The sentiments are from Papersmooches Digits and the numbers are die cut using Papersmooches Numbers die. ¬†The sentiment was originally to be one panel but you may have guessed I needed to seperate to fit on the card front. ¬†What was that my Dad use to say? “measure twice cut once!” Anyway I’m sure if I didn’t mention you would all think this is how I intended the card to be.

Last week I had 2 occasions for sympathy cards.

I used Inspired by stamping Big Notes III and SU Botanical Builder Framelits.

In my last post I mentioned a recent trip to Bendigo.

Here is a pic of my purchase at Bendigo Woollen Mills…

Bendigo woollen mills July 2016 back room (640x505)

At some time in the future a jumper for me, a cardi for Ms E and 3 pairs of socks.  The light grey is the new Savanna, the darker grey is Aurora and sock yarn (one undyed and 2 dyed).  My current knitting project is a jumper for Ms A (11) in BWM Bold Bamboo Rouge.

Until next time

Bowling for a 21st…

Hello

Today I have another 21st card to share.

bowling 21st card 2 (480x640)

I am linking up to the following challenges

Seize the Birthday – Anything Goes here

As usual Ms E (20) had a specific request to incorporate bowling.  Not having any bowling stamps and deciding punch art was a little too fiddly I came across some digital images here.  Thank you Imogen.  I also used Papersmooches Digits stamp set and Numbers die. A little colouring on the pins with copics before adding to card front with foam tabs.  It was sunny yesterday when I took the pic you can see a little shadow on the card front.

My first thoughts when I saw the SBB challenge board was to create a card with a black lab Рwe have a very young at heart black lab.  During the week she had her annual check up.  For a senior she acted more like a very energetic pup!  She must have a great memory too because she kept sitting without instruction to be rewarded with treats from the vet.

A butterfly or two…

Hello

If you haven’t heard the Crafting with Dragonflies challenge blog is back.

First challenge can be found here

I love badge

I am happy to hear Hilde is upto running this again.

It was a little prompt for me to get some butterflies who have been sitting on my workspace onto a card!

So while I was linking up to this challenge I will also link up to the Stamp Ink  Paper Challenge here

SIP Any Challenge 8

I stamped these butterflies a couple of weeks ago and that was as far as I got. I have been busy knitting and haven’t got back to my workspace.

watercolour butterflies

I started with a whisper white thick card base. The butterflies are stamped from SU Watercolor Wings in crushed curry marker, daffodil delight ink and memento tuxedo black ink onto a scrap of whisper white cardstock.

I then die cut with the co ordinating framelits. I finished the buttefly with black rhinestones. The pattern paper is from SU Cherry on top mounted onto black cardstock.  The sentiment is from SU Butterfly Basics.

As I had a few more butterflies cut out I created a couple more cards.

trio of watercolour butterflies

and to finish off today

Mr 17 has an 18th this weekend and needed a card. I coloured this Jane’s Doodles digital image some time ago with alcohol markers and he picked this for the card front.

IMG_6847 (472x640)

I finished off with Papersmooches Digits and numbers dies and mounted onto co ordinating cardstock.

I hope you have a great weekend planned.

This morning I have been marshaling at a¬†walk-a-thon for Ms 10. Tomorrow we have only 2 games of netball (down from 4). ¬†Ms 15 & Ms 19’s team is in the first preliminary final. To round out the weekend we have a few parties and the normal mum’s taxi service will be running.

Hope to be back soon with some more creations.

I have just committed myself to an Artisan Market in my local area. Will post details later.

Thanks for stopping

Cheers

More NBUS…

Hello

Today I am sharing 2 birthday cards.

I am linking up to

NBUS #3

My NBUS is Mama Elephant Water blooms stamp set

b5c31-button2baqua2buse2bthis2bthe

and

Inspired by Stamping Monthly Challenge

sentiment stamp (and ribbon)

Inspired by Stamping

The recipient of this card, Ms S,  is the daughter of an old friend (we have been friends since we started high school a few years ago!).  Ms S loves Paris and is studying French by attending weekend classes (Dad is a French influence). This has lead to a very French gift with Eiffel tower jewellery holder, stationery and some new jewellery. So the card had to follow the theme.

IMG_6496 (640x427)

I began by searching the web for pictures (I don’t have an Eiffel tower stamp although I’m sure they are out there) and printed one I liked from here. I then used my NBUS Mama Elephant Water Bloom stamp set and SU Rose Red ink triple stamped along with SU Certainly Celery. When the stamping was done I trimmed and mounted onto SU Rose Red CS. I added Inspired by Stamping ribbon and the sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Fancy Labels 3 also stamped with SU Rose Red. I punched the sentiment using 2″ and 2 1/4″ circle punches. The finished size of this card is 15cm x 21cm.

IMG_6497 (471x640)

The second card I am sharing is for Mr M who is 17 today – Ms S and Mr M share a birthday Mr M is 2 years older.

Mr M is a Whovain so a Dr Who inspired card is a must.

IMG_6494 (640x427)

I started by printing 2 of these. I layered these to create my 3D tardis for the front of my card. I was inspired by Tina’s card here. I adhered this to a piece of SU crumb cake cardstock and then I sponged the edges with crumb cake ink. I die cut “17” into the Kaisercraft licorice card front with Papersmooches Numbers die and inlaid the “17” using¬†SU Crumb Cake cardstock. The banners are stamped in crumb cake using SU banner blast and the co ordinating punch. The middle banner is also stamped with a sentiment from PTI Tiny Tags in black ink. The Tardis was then added to the card front with foam tabs.

IMG_6495 (491x640)

As Mr M is having friends over for pizza and cake after the movies tonight I have printed these to add to cupcakes. (Still have to make the cupcakes)

IMG_6498 (640x427)

Thank you to those who made their digi images available for me to use.

Thanks for stopping – a long post today.

Cheers

Dinosaur 18th…

Try stamping on Tuesdays – anything goesand

Twisted Tuesdays – Celebration + Nature

Grab our badge!

It is one of Miss E’s oldest friend’s 18th Birthday today – they have been friends from 3 year old kinder, through 4 year old Kinder, primary and secondary school. Happy 18th Tash!

I have made this card for her – the requirements from Miss E were green & dinosaurs.

IMG_3803

Just heard the birthday girl liked the card.

I have used the sketch from Try stampin’ on Tuesdays and the the challenge from Twisted Tuesdays, I am linking up to these challenges.

I used a pre cut card finished size 12.5cm x 18.5cm. I used Kaisercraft La Di Da Paper along with green cardstock. I stamped the dinosaurs from Stampin UP!  Dinoraur in stazon timber brown and coloured with markers from Tim Holtz and Stampin UP!. I used circle punches to punch them out and popped them up with foam tape. I added some twine from Annabelle stamps and the die cut numbers from Papersmooches Numbers, by request no stamped words.

Today is also the last day of official classes for Miss E. Year 12 exams start in just over a week and graduation celebrations are next week – better get a wriggle on with the dress!

Thanks for popping by

Cheers
