Happy Birthday Tom…

My husband’s nephew is turning 10 this week.

I have used an arrow stamp from Kaisercraft Konstrukt stamp set stamped in Stampin UP! pumpkin pie and bashful blue inks. The “HB2U” sentiment is from Papertrey ink Boy Basics Game on and the “You’re” is from Paper tray. I die cut the 10 using Quickutz die and pumpkin pie cardstock. Finished by popping up with tape and some glossy accents.

CAS(E) challenge + ABS

I didn’t think I would make the ABS monthly challenge deadline with this one – but I might just sneak in.

It is a busy time in our house this week – just got news of more things to happen over the next week!

Anyway it is Miss 12’s birthday Sunday –  from Sunday 3 teenagers!

This is the card I have made for her. She loved this paper when I got it the other day (I have made cup cake toppers too – but I’ll share those when I’ve made the cupcakes!)

I am linking this upto the CAS(E) Challenge and ABS monthly challenge – stripes. I have used AnnaBelle Stamps new digi paper, PTI Paper Tray and See D’s Alphabet numbers set and die cut the numbers with a Quickcutz die. The ribbon is also AnnaBelle stamps.

I think she will like this come Sunday morning.

Thanks for coming back for the third post of the day.

Cheers

Hang in There…

I have used the Hero Arts set Playful Animals to make a card for a friend from my first mum’s group – We still call our selves that after 17 years! She is going into have her gal bladder removed on Friday this is after she had surgery two weeks ago to remove a stone that was blocking her liver.

I coloured my images using Tim Holtz markers. I water colour washed (I think that’s how you describe it) the background with Stampin UP! Certainly Celery. One of the sentiments is from the same set whilst the other is from AnnaBelle Stamps Lil Molly’s Flowers.

I am linking this card to the sketch challenge this week at AnnaBelle Stamps.

I also have another friend having back surgery next week and I have made this card for her using the new digi paper from AnnaBelle Stamps as the background. I stamped various get well messages from PTI Mega Mixed Messages, Paper Tray and AnnaBelle stamps Lil Molly’s Flowers. I will link this up to the monthly challenge of stripes at AnnaBelle stamps.

Hope you’re having a great day. I have spent the day with my walking/book club friends celebrating one of the girl’s birthdays (I have a card for that too but will share that in another post). Whilst we were out I got some great news – a job I had an interview for a few weeks ago I have been offered. I will be starting next week. That might mean a few little changes around here – but I am very excited.

Thanks for stopping by

Cheers

A few things I found when I cleaned up my workspace!

I found this one

http://unikostudio.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/introducing.html

I left this one a bit late and the link is now closed. Maybe next time! Posted it anyway. I used Coordinations CS and SU embossilits butterflies along with some rhinestones.

And I made this from a technique at AnnaBelle Stamps

 http://stampembellishcreate.ning.com/profiles/blogs/topical-tuesday-versamark-resist

I used Glam Girls – free with magazine and some paper from a children’s craft set.

I needed to make a card for my Miss 12 to take to a party tomorrow and it needed to be purple and have a cupcake! With the right paper and a few brads it matched the Stamp Spot September Challenge. Just making this one.

http://thestampspot.blogspot.com.au/2012/09/september-challenge-spots.html

I used SU A Cherry on Top, PTI Paper Tray, Colourbox Heliotrope, Versafine Onyx black, CS and brads from my stash.

Now my workspace is tidier! I found a few things I had been “meaning” to do. Did a bit of reorganising so hopefully it will be easier to work on whatever I need to. I had to make space to do some paper work – not the fun kind either!

Hope you are having a great weekend – watching the footy – no matter what your code!

Cheers

Vicki
