Zentangle Birthday…

Today I am sharing a card I made for Ms A’s 13th birthday last week.   It is also my card for the current challenge at Unstampabelles here

This one was a little tricky to take a pic of.

I used a page from a colouring book and die cut “happy”, “13” and “birthday” from it and then inlaid the same die cuts with glitter paper.

Ms A likes to colour so I thought this was a great idea for her card.

This one was new for me.  We had a memento book.  I remember signing keys and books at 18th’s and 21st’s but a 13th was a first.  Ms S and Ms A decorated this journal book.

I had to share the zentangle.

This is a pic of the cake I made for her party Saturday night.

Hope to see you in the challenge.

Thanks for stopping

#70: Every Day is Special
TWIST lots of colour

Unstampabelles Challenges

My card was inspired by this card by Therese at Lostinpaper.  I don’t think I am alone in holding onto little slivers of pattern paper!  This was a great way to use some of them up and I got to use lots of colour at the same time and every birthday is special.

I used some double sided adhesive sheets to attach my stripes of paper then cut down slightly for my card front. I finished with glittery sentiment die cut using Stamplorations and PTI dies.

Hope to see your creation in the link.  Remember no stamps.

Layering and borders

Unstampabelles Challenges

Here is my card

I used ME Pizzaz pieces (my border die), Memory Box Classic numbers, PTI birthday die and Stamplorations Happy die cut from fun foam.

Now if you have followed me for a while you will know a lot of my cards are made as per my Kiddos requests.  This one was no exception.  However it is not as first requested.  Mr M (19) requested a 21st card with the sentiment “Happy 21st Birthday” in computer coding – a series of “0” and “1”‘s that computers speak in. I started die cutting the mammoth task of all those 0’s and 1’s to quickly realise it wasn’t going to fit onto an A4 card front easily – then one of the dies moved whilst cutting even while using tape. The solution cut the panel down and put it on a normal size cut front as a background and add the die cut sentiment.  Mr M was still happy.

Hope you get a chance to play in this challenge there are still a couple of weeks to go.

Until next time

Another Challenge another 21st…

I am back today with my DT card for the new challenge at Unstampabelles here.

#62 Outside Your Comfort Zone Twist: a different edge

Unstampabelles Challenges

The prize is

Certainly each and every project for Unstampabelles pushes me outside my comfort zone.  This is the purpose of challenges right.

I created a subtle edge by using ME Basic die set.  I also used the stitched die on the black mount which is a little tricky to see in the pic.

The die cut sentiments are from Stamplorations and PTI.  The pattern paper is from SU as is the gold glitter tape behind the die cuts.

This happened to also fit with a request from Ms E for another 21st birthday which was black, white and gold. So of course a matching gift bag was added using my gift bag punch board.

Hope you have time to join in.

Thanks for stopping.

 I realised I haven’t shared this card which I made for a 21st a few days ago.

I am linking up to the current challenge at Seize the Birthday here

I used Penny Black wonderful coloured with alcohol markers. The grass is from SU thoughtful branches with a little masking.  I die cut the stamplorations “happy” and PTI “birthday” from the SU confetti celebration paper showing the emerald green beneath. The coloured panel is popped up with foam tabs and there is just a hint of glitter on the balloon.

Now to co ordinate the gift bag I used the same patterned paper and my gift bag punch board and made the largest bag.  It was a perfect fit for the present. Ms E used a bulldog clip to attach the card to the bag and also keep the bag closed!

I have been busy knitting.  I am almost finished sewing up Ms A’s jumper.  One seam to go.

I have knitted one dog coat for the lost dog’s home and started a second one.
