Soccer and a finished knit…

Hello

Popping in to share a quick and easy card as requested by Mr M (19).

I am also linking up to the current challenge at Seize the Birthday here

A pretty quick make.  I die cut a white circle and ran through my honeycomb embossing folder.  I also ran a small piece of black cardstock through and fussy cut a few pieces to add back to make my soccer ball. Popped up with foam tape on my card front and finished with a sentiment from Jane’s Doodles Birthday wishes.

Also sharing a finished knitting project

Nothing like Mum asking you to model when you are on your way out the door to go to work teaching kids to swim.

I used BWM Aurora Stirling

You can find the pattern here

Until next time

Cheers

Six sided sampler + Just Add Ink 219

Hello

Last weekend I was having a little play and made this card/gift tag for the Just add Ink challenge this week

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/2014/06/just-add-ink-219-just-add-inspiration.html

Honeycomb + six sided sampler

I started by embossing my SU whisper white card stock with the honey comb embossing folder onto the first and last panel (there are 3 although the middle one doesn’t show in the pics). I made the tag shape by using my SU angled tag punch. I stamped the image from SU Six sided sampler with smoky slate, crushed curry markers and versafine onyx black ink before punching with the co ordinating hexagon punch and adding to the tag. Finished off with ribbon and twine.

Well the wind has died down here now. It has been a day of wild weather here today.  Lots of damage by wind.

Hope it is nice where you are.

Thanks for visiting and all the lovely comments you leave.

Cheers

Playing with Hexagon Shape

Hi all. Been a little quiet here on the blog – Sorry.  I have planned to play with so much…

Any way I did find time to play and I made this set of three cards

In this one I have used the embossing folder like a stamp. I saw this on a video somewhere. I inked the embossing folder put in my cardstock and used a brayer to lightly get the ink on the cardstock.  Finished off with a sentiment and some ribbon.

For this I randomly stamped straight onto my card front leaving a little space for the sentiment.

This last one I stamped my images and then punched them out. The sentiment was stamped straight onto my card front and the punched shapes added around it.

I have used Stampin UP! six sided sampler, label something, espress yourself, honeycomb embossing folder, matching punch and ink in coastal cabana and smoky sky along with memento tuxedo black, pool party ribbon and coastal cabana cardstock.

If you have been following you may remember I started a quilt some time ago for Miss S. Well it is progressing. I have the binding to finish off. I tried using my treadle sewing machine to do the quilting. I need a bit more practice – I think I will stick to quilting in the ditch my lines aren’t all that straight!

Hope you are having a good week.

Thanks for stopping.
