Recent makes…

Hello

Just popping in to share a few recent requested card makes for a friend.

An Elsa inspired card I totally CASEd from here. Thanks Lyssa. I did make one modification I used Uniquely creative stitched dies to get the curves of the dress. Those dies aren’t just for landscapes!

I also made my own shimmer spray mixing Isopropyl alcohol and shimmer paint in a spray bottle.

The next couple of cards seem to be frequent repeats!

I did consider not sharing even though they are new makes they are layouts I have used many times before! Funny I don’t really like mass producing – made 10 of one card as an invitation once and that was a struggle! However going back to making a card that seemed to work doesn’t seem to be an issue! Especially if it is for a friend and I can show them a pic before I start.

Do you ever go back and make a card again?

Sadly we were in need of a sympathy card this week.

Once again I have gone for simple white die cuts with liquid pearl centres and a simple sentiment from Avery Elle – stamp and die cut.

I have an outrageously large pile of NBUS to play with before more new play things arrive šŸ™‚ My dilema what to play with first!

In the meantime I plan to do a little reading – Bridgerton the Duke and I – while I continue knitting a Weir for myself.

Thanks for stopping

Cheers

Vicki

I have had a special personalised card requests recently. So thought I should pop in and share these with you. I do love that I can make a card to suit the recipient.

This first one was for a young fisherman, Xavier who recently had his 10th birthday.

A friend of my youngest daughter had her 16th birthday recently, and you bet she loves her dog!

A personalised engagement card for a friend of my aunt.

Significant Birthday…

Hello

Popping in to share a card and cupcakes from this weekend.

Hubby celebrated a significant birthday.Ā  He didn’t want a party so the kiddos, partners and hubby and I went out to a local Japanese Teppanyaki restaurant.

A simply card using my large numbers and my new Stamplorations Congrats die.Ā  I was luck enough to win this recently along with some other goodies from Stamplorations.

Back home for dessert

Until next time

Cheers

Unstampabelles Challenge #84…

Hello

Boy the weeks fly by don’t they.

It is my turn to share at Unstampelles current challenge here

Add our button if you wish

Challenge#84: Emboss, emboss, emboss……..

TheĀ TWISTĀ is to make it for a male!
The Random Number Draw prize will be Stampin’ Up’s
I began by using embossing paste coloured with re-inker and circle stencil.Ā  Once dry I cut to desired size for my card front and mounted on cs of the same colour.Ā  I used my large letters and number to die cut HB2U (Happy Birthday to You) in silver foil.Ā  I then embossed those with a Kaisercraft embossing folder and added them to my card base with foam tabs.
Excluding the drying time this was a pretty quick and easy card and I think great for a boy/young male adult.Ā  Mr M (20) did confirm he would be happy to give to one of his mates for an upcoming birthday.
Hope to see you in the challenge. Remember no stamps!
Cheers

This weeks requests…

Hello

Ā This week one of the kiddos requested a Harry Potter inspired card.

I CASed this card from here

I free hand drew the hair and the scar before cutting out. I used SU Celebrate today for the “happy” and Number of Years for the “st”.Ā  The die cut numbers are from Papersmooches popped up with foam tabs.Ā  The glasses were made with circle punches and a strip of cs.

And for another 21st

A quick and easy card along with a personalised envelope.Ā  Ā The envelope was large enough for the personalised luggage tag and gift card and the card.Ā  I CASed the envelope from here

And my last share for today is Ms A’s request. Ms A chose all the elements including the card base.Ā  For my regular readers you wont be surprised she was very specific about what colour papers had to go where!

Thats all for today

Thanks for stopping by

Cheers

A little creative catch up…

Hello

When I posted yesterday I realised I had a few other creations I hadn’t shared. So here they are.

A recent 21st card for a Tigers fan

I used My Cute Stamps circus animals and SSS stitched circles dies along with SU Large numbers.

A planter box for a another significant birthday – this time for one of my walking/book club friends who happens to love gardening.

I used Bronwyn Eastley’s pattern here along with various SU stamps and dies.

A Unicorn card – a special request.

This time I used Jane’s Doodles and SU Beautiful Bouquet stamps & dies.

A little error here the kiddos also requested a unicorn card for this girl last year for her birthday and you guessed correct I used Jane’s Doodles Unicorn stamp set for the same girl’s card last year. (Insert embarassed face).Ā  When I looked back at last years card it only had one unicorn so hopefully significantly different.Ā  Needless to say next year I’ll either have to invest in a new unicorn stamp set or make another style of card.

Lastly an update on my Bernate Hi Lo Jumper.

Almost finished the front!

I have another request from the family and a pile of mending so I will get on with that in the coming days.

Until next time

Cheers

Zentangle Birthday…

Hello

Today I am sharing a card I made for Ms A’s 13th birthday last week.Ā  Ā It is also my card for the current challenge at Unstampabelles here

This one was a little tricky to take a pic of.

I used a page from a colouring book and die cut “happy”, “13” and “birthday” from it and then inlaid the same die cuts with glitter paper.

Ms A likes to colour so I thought this was a great idea for her card.

This one was new for me.Ā  We had a memento book.Ā  I remember signing keys and books at 18th’s and 21st’s but a 13th was a first.Ā  Ms S and Ms A decorated this journal book.

I had to share the zentangle.

This is a pic of the cake I made for her party Saturday night.

Hope to see you in the challenge.

Thanks for stopping

Cheers

A few more recent birthday creations…

Hello

Popping in to share a couple of recent birthday cards.

This first one was for a friend of Mr M’s.Ā  The colours and flowers were as requested.Ā  Funny story Ms E went to the same party and took a card from my stash.Ā  So the birthday girl got 2 totally different cards from our family.

One of the girls netball team mates turns 30 on 31st.Ā  This year she decided to have a party early – don’t know why people don’t want to celebrate her birthday on the 31st?!! Anyway the focus was all on her last week.Ā  I went to the party along with Ms E and Ms S and had a good night and my first experience of a photo booth.Ā  This was rather funny cause I can’t see much without my glasses so if you can imagine how the quick prop changes and no glasses combo turned out.Ā  This lady likes a drink or two this was the only set I could find in my stash with a glass.Ā  I don’t particularly think she is beach loving but she is an Aussie summer babe.Ā  I have since ordered a new stamp set for my stash – well there was obviously a gap in my collection!

Thanks for stopping

Cheers
