SC 065/12 + JAI 141

I am linking this card upto two challenges SC 065/12 and JAI 141

and

It is handy to have a sympathy card on hand for when the need arises.

I have used SBB kraft cardstock (similar to SU crumb cake) along with SU Very Vanilla and Wisteria Wonder Card stock – embossed with SU Elegant bouquet. I used SU ink and markers to colour my images before stamping. I used Versafine Onyx black to stamp my sentiment from PTI Mega Mixed Messages onto very vanilla cut with Lifestyle Crafts nesting oval scallop. The border die is from American Crafts Knock outs and the ribbon is seam binding ribbon from Kaszazz.

Miss 7 is all OK – but has stayed home from school today just in case.

Scrapbook Boutique October challenge

I’m entering this card into the monthly challenge at Scrapbookboutique. These monthly challenges just make me hungry! Gorgeous cupcakes – who doesn’t love a chocolate mud cake?

I have used SU Embossing folder, Annabelle Stamps and other supplies from my stash. I used various markers to colour and added pink rhinestones to the centre of the flowers. Not sure about the finished card – not one of my favs – but I’m sure my Gran will love it. Starting to put together some cards for her Chrissy present – pretty sure she doesn’t read this so don’t have to worry about the surprise element.

Ornament Punch & Owl Punch

I was having a bit of a play with these two punches to use them in ways other than what was intended! Trying to extend the use of my products.

I took a photo on the angle to show how I had used embossing folders to add texture to the plain cardstock.

I used

2010-2012 In Colours CS (Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz & Concord Crush)

SU Markers Not Quite Navy, Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade, Garden Green & Wisteria Wonder.

Non SU – shop bought card base, black & white CS

I know you can use the ornament punch for fish and the owl punch for soooo many other things. So hopefully I will get time to play next week.

Busy weekend planned. Two parties and maybe a trip to the Museum.

Moxie Fab world – Minty Fresh Challenge

I am entering this card in the Moxie Fab World Minty Fresh Challenge.

I used papers from Scrapbook Boutique Sand and Surf pack. I embossed the white background with SU Sizzix Embossing card Elegant Bouquet – to match the texture of the phone cover. I made the cake using cardstock and punched the flowers with Carl Kikyou punches (CP 1 & CP 2). This would be the first time in a long time that I have made a card with out stamps and ink! I did use a black marker for the centres of the small flowers the large flowers have a brad.
