A couple for the Male folk…

Hi

I made these a couple of weeks ago but had forgotten to share – Hubby had needed a card for the next day and of course I had nothing in my card stash suitable.

He chose this first one

Inlaid Birthday (519x640)

I used various strips of patterned paper. I stamped the “happy” from PTI Birthday bash sentiments with versafine onyx black and clear heat embossed. I cut the “birthday” from PTI Birthday trio die – I used the cut out in the card below whilst I inlaid with green cardstock.

This one is left for another time

Good times (534x640)I used The Craft’s Meow Good times stamped in SU old olive ink along with PTI Polka Dot Parade #5 stamped with versafine onyx black and PTI Birthday die from the first card.

This morning I am off to the school book parade. Ms A (9) is dressed as the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland – a dance costume I made for her a few years ago.

Have a great weekend

Thanks for stopping and leaving all your lovely comments.

Cheers

Vicki

Marie is turning 40

I friend I met through playgroup is having a Birthday this weekend. I have made this card for her.  I think there will be one or two beverages to celebrate as well as lots of laughs and dancing with friends and possibly a few pics taken.

I have used 3 stamp sets (see below for exact names) from The Craft’s Meow to make the “Photo”.  Stamped using Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Pacific Point Ink and markers from Stampin UP!

I am linking this up to these challenges

Before I go just want to put my mum hat on and share some great news. Miss E (17) and Miss S (13) are swimming for their school on Thursday night. Well done. The best news is Miss E has made captain of the team – she found out earlier this morning at a team meeting. What a great start to her last year of high school.

Thanks for stopping

Hope you are having a great week

Cheers

Miss S (13) has a another party tomorrow night and needs a card! I’ll let her decide which one she takes. I am rather partial to the stars.

I have used Annabelle Stamps Tomorrow’s Dream, Boy’s Party and The Craft’s Meow – Good Times along with some washi tape (#10 & # 13) from The Stamp Spot. The inks and markers are SU Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant and Tempting Turquoise and the cs used for layering is also tempting turquoise.

It has been so hot I haven’t had the curtains and blinds open much – just as I was ready to take the pics of these cards the sky turned black and the heavens opened up – Please forgive the really bad photography! Not that I don’t want the rain I just wish it had waited 5 more minutes.

I am linking these upto the challenge at Annabelle Stamps (if I’m not too late!)

Thanks for dropping by

Cheers

A couple of birthdays…

Sorry this is a long post. Hope you can bear with me.

I have made this card for a friend’s husband – apparently he isn’t happy about “the number”. I might be the same when I get there! I used punches to create the angry bird – I was inspired by a something I saw on a forum.

There is a tutorial here  http://stampinwithniki.blogspot.com.au/2011/12/angry-birds-tutorial.html.

I am linking this upto the monthly challenge at the Stamp Spot – heart – (http://thestampspot.blogspot.com.au/) I actually used to heart shapes

http://movingalongwiththetimes.blogspot.com.au/ – punch it out

Another friend shares the same birthday and I made this for her

IMG_3161

I used lots of different sentiment stamps to make the word panel – if I miss naming one please forgive me. I also used some dies to create the flourish and the felt flowers. When I gave this to my friend this morning she couldn’t believe I had individually stamped each word.

and another version of this for Miss A’s godmother

and after seeing the angry bird I made for the card above one of Miss E’s oldest friends made a comment so I made this tag as a book mark for her.

I am linking this tag upto the challenge http://www.sarahhurleychallenges.blogspot.com.au/ – anything but a card

Thanks for hanging in there.

Mr M and Miss A have not long arrived home from school. I made them walk today as I have a house full of 13 year old girls! Better go and check the party pies.

Hope you have a great weekend.

I used TCM Good Times stamped with PTI Blueberry sky ink stamped straight onto my card base. The cardstock is from my stash. I punched some small stars and added glossy accents. The sentiment is from the same set I used a circle punch tool ( took from the shed – I don’t think its going back!) to make the notches and popped it up with foam tabs.

This is another card to have on hand – I think it would suit either a boy or a girl.

I am linking this upto AnnaBelle Stamps weekly challenge.

Thanks again for stopping by.

Edit note: This made the top 3 this week.

Fiskars Happy Mail! + JAI 140 + AC090

I received this a few weeks ago from the Fiskars Fisketters site

Oct paper-blueribbonsqueeze

Been a bit caught up with other things. Today I got to use it.

I am entering my card into the following challenges.

and

JAI Badge 2011+ chevrons

Thanks for dropping by.

Cas(E) week #2…

I have used The Craft’s Meow – Good times with SU Ink and PTI Birthday Bash Sentiments. It seriously took me longer to decide which stamp to use and colour ink than it did to make this card!

I apologise for the poor quality photography (worse than I usually take!) – having a few technical issues here and I got my daughter to take this pic on her iPad so I could make the time.

Moxiefab WCMD – Happy Birthday, The Crafts Meow October Sketch & Splitcoast Stampers Hope you can cling to

Is this stamp cute? This is The Craft’s Meow Summertime Fun with Fibi and Lilly along with sentiment from Good Times. I was lucky enough to win Good Times at the The Craft’s Meow’s September Release.

I have used Tim Holtz markers (Pumice stone, walnut stain, spun sugar, worn lipstick, weathered wood and tumbled glass) along with SU inks (So saffron, daffodil delight, more mustard, pumpkin pie, tangerine tango, crumb cake, chocolate chip, soft suede, bashful blue, baja breeze and real red) to watercolour the image.

I also used SU CS and DSP (twittepated) and the piece of lace is from my ribbon box and spica pen on the sand.

I am going to link this to the following challenges.

at Moxiefab

and

at The Craft’s Meow and Splitcoast stampers

There is an address in Queensland where cards  made for “Hope you Can Cling to” challenge can be sent. I will be sending this one along.
