Finished and Gifted…

Hello

Popping in to share my latest quilt.

I did finish this a few weeks ago however I didn’t get to meet the new member of the family until yesterday. Such a gorgeous looking bub she is too.

The quilt top is 5 1/4″ squares set in a pattern which creates diamonds. When I checked what the nursery decor was going to be I was informed “muted neutrals”. Um brown tones came to mind. Off I went fabric shopping – any excuse! I found the lovely rainbow print and chose two solids from the pattern.

The back is a simple print. I quilted around the blocks and on the diagonal on my domestic machine. I bound with the darker of the solids. Now after purchasing the fabric and I had begun construction my Ms 17 spotted a pic on instagram of the nursery and informed me there was a rainbow print on the wall in the same tones as the fabric. Whew!

Now I couldn’t give a present without a card. I stamped the onesie from TGF onto some pattern paper and fussy cut out, popped onto some white card stock and added to card base. The sentiment is from Jane’s Doodles The sky’s the limit. Love making personalised cards.

Until next time

Cheers

Vicki

A few baby cards…

Hello

Here are my cards

SU - Made with love & something for baby (640x390)

I couldn’t resist making more than one!

I am sure I had a white onesie with a yellow Tweety bird embroidered for my baby (now Ms 10).

and

SU - Made with love & Something for baby blue-red (640x408)

and

SU - Made with love & something for baby girl (640x371)

I stamped my images from Stampin UP! Made with love and Something for Baby and die cut using Baby’s First Framelits.  I stamped 8 onto white cardstock. The striped ones I stamped twice once with a black outline and once in colour. The little butterflies come from The Greeting Farm Build a Onesie.  I used various inks including Stampin UP!, Tim Holtz and My Favourite Things. I coloured the details using Tim Holtz distress markers and Stampin UP! markers. All the onesies are popped up with foam tape. The sentiments are from Stampin UP! Made with love and Simon Says Stamp Baby.

Must go netball training pick up time!

Thanks for stopping

Cheers
