Party Animal for a 20th…

Hello

If you live around my part of the world I hope you are managing with the extremes of weather we have been having. Cold one day hot the next! We wouldn’t like it any other way.

Anyway I have a few things to share

ABS Party Animals (487x640)

This is a card I have made by request from my eldest daughter.  I used Annabelle Stamps Party Animals and coloured with markers (SU and Tim Holtz), layered and mounted on to my card front.  I die cut the “20” using Memory box classic numbers die and a second time with fun foam. A touch of glossy accents to finish off.  The recipient of this card is after a new puppy!

I am linking this up to the 30 Day colouring challenge here

challenge_graphic-4-animated-650-october

This is my second card for the challenge. I hope to have one or two more to share before the end of the challenge.

It has been particularly busy. Mr M has his last day of formal classes on Friday and we are then off to Graduation dinner. Then it is a little study time before the exams start.  As his year is coming to an end mine is getting busier. As a pre school enrolment officer it is busy finalising numbers and groups for 2016.

A little knitting share

Not just socks - for Kaitlin 2015 (640x478)These were made using Moda Vera not just socks yarn and the pattern on the back of the ball band. These were requested by Ms E as a gift for a friend later this month.

This is my very first pair of socks. I shared these with my Wednesday group today and some thought I had been very clever and changed the wool to create the pattern. I must admit the wool is varigated and knits up to this pattern.

and these

Hermione s Everyday socks - Tash (640x478)

These are a work in progress. I have used this pattern – Hermione’s Everyday socks which can be found on ravelry as a free download here. Thank you to Erica Leuder. I have also used the notes from here thank you.

I was requested to have this pair finished by this coming Friday as a gift for one of Ms E’s friends. Unfortunately I wont make that deadline. I work tomorrow and then I have a meeting for my enrolment officer job tomorrow night.

I will come back and share when they are complete.

Two more pics before I go

orchid 2 (520x640)

orchid 3 (478x640)

These are pics of the only orchid I kept of my Mum’s after she passed.  It has flowered every year I have had it and I don’t do anything special to it and hardly remember to water it. It normally sits under a tree near the fence!

Thanks for stopping

Until next time

Cheers

A few baby cards…

Hello

The cards I’m sharing today I am linking up to the following challenges – I haven’t played at either of these sites for ages so it was about time!

– the red and blue combo below

Loves Rubberstamps Blog Challenges

Here are my cards

SU - Made with love & something for baby (640x390)

I couldn’t resist making more than one!

I am sure I had a white onesie with a yellow Tweety bird embroidered for my baby (now Ms 10).

and

SU - Made with love & Something for baby blue-red (640x408)

and

SU - Made with love & something for baby girl (640x371)

I stamped my images from Stampin UP! Made with love and Something for Baby and die cut using Baby’s First Framelits.  I stamped 8 onto white cardstock. The striped ones I stamped twice once with a black outline and once in colour. The little butterflies come from The Greeting Farm Build a Onesie.  I used various inks including Stampin UP!, Tim Holtz and My Favourite Things. I coloured the details using Tim Holtz distress markers and Stampin UP! markers. All the onesies are popped up with foam tape. The sentiments are from Stampin UP! Made with love and Simon Says Stamp Baby.

Must go netball training pick up time!

Just hatched and more English Country Garden…

Hello

I’m back as planned.

Ms E’s manager is leaving the store to go to another store. She asked me to make her a Good bye/Good luck card.  As it has “wings” I am linking up to the current challenge at Uniko Studios here.

Grab button for Uniko Studio Challenge

Here is my card.

Good luck

I used Uniko English Country Garden stamped onto vellum and coloured with Tim Holtz and SU markers. The die cut strip is from Kaisercraft film strip. The sentiment is from PTI Mega Mixed Messages stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The second card I have to share is also for Ms E’s manager. She is also expecting her first baby later in the year and as Ms E is unlikely to see her she wanted to gift her a little something. This also has “wings”.

IMG_6812 (640x639)

I made the card base using Lifestyle Crafts Peppermint Page die (8cm x 8.5cm). The image from ME Just hatched is stamped onto x press it blending cardstock and coloured with alcohol markers. The sentiment if from the same set stamped in versafine onyx black ink. The co ordinating dies were used to cut the egg.

IMG_6809 (640x427)

To go with this I knitted up a little pair of shoes using Patons Big Baby 4ply yarn and the garter stitch bootees pattern which came with the pack.  Sorry  I couldn’t find a link anywhere on the web!

Strike a pose meets an English Country Garden…

Hello

Over the weekend I got a little time in my craft room. Mainly due to our 4 games of netball being cancelled due to weather.

I am linking up to the current challenge at Uniko Studios here – things with wings

Grab button for Uniko Studio Challenge

This is my card.

IMG_6814 (640x416)

I started by randomly stamping the film strip image from Uniko strike a pose across some white cardstock masking as I went with post it notes. I then stamped one of the images from an English Country Garden in the film again masking as I went. I coloured the images with Tim holtz and SU Markers and used my SU blender pen. Thanks Therese for reminding me I had this! I finished off the butterflies with a little Kindy Glitz Crystalina.

Off to dance class with Miss A

I plan to be back with another couple of cards tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping

More NBUS…

Hello

Today I am sharing 2 birthday cards.

I am linking up to

NBUS #3

My NBUS is Mama Elephant Water blooms stamp set

and

Inspired by Stamping Monthly Challenge

sentiment stamp (and ribbon)

Inspired by Stamping

The recipient of this card, Ms S,  is the daughter of an old friend (we have been friends since we started high school a few years ago!).  Ms S loves Paris and is studying French by attending weekend classes (Dad is a French influence). This has lead to a very French gift with Eiffel tower jewellery holder, stationery and some new jewellery. So the card had to follow the theme.

IMG_6496 (640x427)

I began by searching the web for pictures (I don’t have an Eiffel tower stamp although I’m sure they are out there) and printed one I liked from here. I then used my NBUS Mama Elephant Water Bloom stamp set and SU Rose Red ink triple stamped along with SU Certainly Celery. When the stamping was done I trimmed and mounted onto SU Rose Red CS. I added Inspired by Stamping ribbon and the sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Fancy Labels 3 also stamped with SU Rose Red. I punched the sentiment using 2″ and 2 1/4″ circle punches. The finished size of this card is 15cm x 21cm.

IMG_6497 (471x640)

The second card I am sharing is for Mr M who is 17 today – Ms S and Mr M share a birthday Mr M is 2 years older.

Mr M is a Whovain so a Dr Who inspired card is a must.

IMG_6494 (640x427)

I started by printing 2 of these. I layered these to create my 3D tardis for the front of my card. I was inspired by Tina’s card here. I adhered this to a piece of SU crumb cake cardstock and then I sponged the edges with crumb cake ink. I die cut “17” into the Kaisercraft licorice card front with Papersmooches Numbers die and inlaid the “17” using SU Crumb Cake cardstock. The banners are stamped in crumb cake using SU banner blast and the co ordinating punch. The middle banner is also stamped with a sentiment from PTI Tiny Tags in black ink. The Tardis was then added to the card front with foam tabs.

IMG_6495 (491x640)

As Mr M is having friends over for pizza and cake after the movies tonight I have printed these to add to cupcakes. (Still have to make the cupcakes)

IMG_6498 (640x427)

Thank you to those who made their digi images available for me to use.

Thanks for stopping – a long post today.

Twisted Tuesdays – Celebration + Nature

Grab our badge!

It is one of Miss E’s oldest friend’s 18th Birthday today – they have been friends from 3 year old kinder, through 4 year old Kinder, primary and secondary school. Happy 18th Tash!

I have made this card for her – the requirements from Miss E were green & dinosaurs.

IMG_3803

Just heard the birthday girl liked the card.

I have used the sketch from Try stampin’ on Tuesdays and the the challenge from Twisted Tuesdays, I am linking up to these challenges.

I used a pre cut card finished size 12.5cm x 18.5cm. I used Kaisercraft La Di Da Paper along with green cardstock. I stamped the dinosaurs from Stampin UP!  Dinoraur in stazon timber brown and coloured with markers from Tim Holtz and Stampin UP!. I used circle punches to punch them out and popped them up with foam tape. I added some twine from Annabelle stamps and the die cut numbers from Papersmooches Numbers, by request no stamped words.

Today is also the last day of official classes for Miss E. Year 12 exams start in just over a week and graduation celebrations are next week – better get a wriggle on with the dress!

Thanks for popping by

In Style…

Miss E has another 18th Birthday Party in a few weeks time.

IMG_3774

I have used an image that was free with a magazine (Claire Coxon I think?) and I have coloured with SU and Tim Holtz markers and then I added some Wink of Stella. The background paper is from Kaisercraft After Five 6″ Pad mounted along with black card stock. The flowers were die cut from MFT Dienamics Rolled Rose and finished with a rhinestone.

I wasn’t too sure about this one and offered to re-do but it got the OK so I will leave it at that.

Had a fun morning at Scienceworks with Miss S and MIss A doing Circus and Maths activities. Hubby is taking 3 of the kiddos away for 3 days starting tomorrow so should be nice and quiet for a while with Miss E and I being the only ones home.

Thanks for stopping as always thank you for your lovely comments

Cheers

Vicki

Edit – I missed the link to Tammy’s Scrappin Corner so maybe next time.

Ahoy me hearties…

Sorry couldn’t help that.

This weeks challenge at the Lollipop Ladies is Pirate Lollipops and water.

I made this card using a digi image from http://madamebogg.blogspot.com.au/ coloured with markers along with stamps from Hero Arts and My Cute Stamps. Plus Heidi Grace patterned paper,  cardstock from my stash and Sizzix Woodgrain embossing folder.

IMG_3549

I tore the cardstock and layered before stamping my images onto the underwater scene. I stamped the shells and star fish onto scraps and cut out before adding to the water. The Pirate is standing on a piece of embossed woodgrain cardstock – like a part of a ship or a jetty. The sun is stamped and a punched circle added for the centre.

I was having fun so I made a second card.

IMG_3545

Using PTI Tremendous  Treats, My Cute Stamps – Fishy Fun and AnnaBelle Stamps Boy’s Party images. I have coloured the pirate with alcohol markers and Tim Holtz black soot.  I added some sparkle to my pirate with some glitter on his skull and cross.  I layered by using circle punches and popped up with foam tabs. The little boats are coloured with SU markers before being hand cut.

I am linking up to these challenges

Twisted Tuesday Challenges –

– at least 7 embellishments – my first card has 4 shells + 3 star fish = 7 embellishments

Garden Gate and Spring Blossom…

Hi Everyone.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Not a bad one here, the children had a  few good games. The  U9 Netball (Miss 8) and U16  (Mr 15) Basketball won, however the girls open team had a loss – they were up at 3/4 time – Miss 17 & Miss 13 play open Netball (same team).

I was lucky to get some new stamp sets from Flourishes by way of Moxie Fab World recently. I really like these images – they are great for colouring. I inked up the Garden Gate set and made this card.  I stamped the image onto water colour paper. I have coloured it using Stampin UP!, Tim Holtz and Marvey Le Plume markers. The cardstock is from Pebbles and I used Lifestyle Crafts circle dies. The button is from my stash with a little twine from the Twinery (blossom) added. I haven’t added a sentiment yet.

IMG_3543

And I made a second card using Flourishes Spring Blossom same cardstock.

IMG_3544

I used an Xcut Scallop Circle die and added a Stampin UP! Sizzix Butterfly with a little bling. I also added a little bling with clear and pink Spica pens – sorry they don’t show up in this pic. Perhaps I should have made the butterfly pink. I do like how this card came together.

I am linking these up to

at the Stamp spot

and

Timeless-Tuesday-New-Logo+ scallops – there are scallops on my background paper too

Thanks for stopping and taking a peek.
