A few tags…

What glorious sunshine today.

I made these over the weekend and am linking these up before the challenges close then I am off to enjoy some sun with my latest book club book and my newest knitting project. Ms 15 & Ms 10 are occupying themselves singing while Mr 17 is at school for practice exams and Ms 19 is at uni.

My tag

I stamped MFT Contemporary Roses stamp set with SU Pink Pirouette and pretty in pink ink.  The leaves are coloured with SU certainly celery marker before stamping. I created the tag with a tag punch and finished with some twine.  Not sure if I will use it as a tag or will add it to a card front later.

For this tag I used images from Uniko Flower Power #5 (sentiment), #6 and Background builders vines stamped and inked with SU Pumpkin Pie, Tangelo Twist & wild wasabi ink/markers. Again I created the tag with a tag punch. This time I added a second tag at the back from Uniko Digital paper. Again finished with some twine.

I also have a card to share I have made for a friend’s birthday using Art Impressions Girlfriends stamp coloured with alcohol markers, fussy cut out and layered onto uniko digital paper.

Uniko background builder vines…

Today’s card I am linking up to the current challenge at Uniko

Challenge #21 – Happy Birthday Bev here

I started by stamping images from Uniko Background builders Vines with SU Lucky Limeade and Old Olive. I used Tim Holtz Abandoned coral to stamp a few flowers. The sentiment is from Uniko Classic numbers stamped in memento tuxedo black ink. I finished the flower centres with liquid pearls. The stamped image was die cut using Inspired by stamping Fancy Label dies 3 and mounted with foam tape onto a Victorian Rectangle die cut from green cardstock from my stash.

Please ignore the black dot and the poor photography – I appear to have something on my camera lens! The colours are as in the first pic.

Book labels with Jane’s Doodles…

Hope you had a great weekend.

I had the Melbourne Zoo Birthday Party with my girls and Ms 14’s boyfriend. Mr 16 had his girl friend’s Debutante Ball.

Anyway I also had a little time to play.

I had wanted to make some more book labels for my book club friends. These will be gifts. I know from now till the end of the year is pretty busy in our house with lots of birthdays, dance concert, school stuff and other bits and pieces that happen that I wanted to get something under way now.

I have used a few different sets to make these up.

The one set which is consistent is Jane’s Doodles Read all about it – for the words – “This book belongs to: “. I have also used Janes’s Doodles Doodle Flowers II and Raindrops along with PTI Happy Hexagons, Uniko Background Builders Vines and Kaszazz Stitched Borders.  I have used both water based and alcohol based markers and inks from SU and PTI along with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. All labels are stamped onto SU Whisper white cs 5 cm x 9 cm. To adhere to the inside covers I have attached pieces of double sided tape to the back which can be removed when adding to books.  I was trying to link stamps to books we have read for example we recently read The Language of Flowers – Vanessa Diffenbaugh.

This wouldn’t be complete with out a new book mark

I used Jane’s Doodles Flying High along with Read all about it and the book mark top is made using SU scallop tag punch and finished with ribbons.

I also made this at the weekend

I used CWA lemon butter recipe. It made 2 jars this size. Mr M (16) just asked when I was going to make more – yep it’s all gone!

We made dozen lemon tarts with pastry cases and lemon butter filling the rest we ate on ice cream, in yogurt and on toast/muffins.

Background Builders + USC10

Hello

This is my entry for the current Uniko Studio Challenge.

I stamped directly onto the card front using the two step stamps from Uniko Background Builders Vines. I used SU Rose Red, Regal Rose, Coastal Cabana, Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, Pool Party and Pear Pizazz inks and markers.

The sentiment is from Uniko digital set Summer Bloom mounted onto pink cardstock and popped up with foam tabs.

I was hoping to share a few update pics of the jumper I am knitting for Miss E that will be another day. I have finished the back and front and I upto the arm holes of the sleeves. I am knitting both sleeves together. Hoping to have it finished before to long. It is winter now and I know she would love to be wearing it.
