Parties!

Hello

I’m back to share a few more cards.

Mr 24 and Ms 22 both have parties this weekend and took these first 2 cards as fast as the ink dried!

How cute is this otter? Simple alcohol colouring. I added the “21” just in time for Mr 24 to head out the door.

This image from Driving by was again coloured with markers. It has gone off with Ms 22 for a friend’s birthday.

Lastly this one is for Quest 6 with Uniko’s birthday celebrations. I used Uniko Bright Butterflies dies, joyful butterflies digital paper and Simply Said stamp set. I finished the centres of the butterflies with a few rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping by

Cheers

Bright Butterflies…

Hello

I had some time to create this card the other day for the current Challenge at Uniko.

Uniko Bright Butteflies (517x640)

I used Uniko Bright Butterflies dies partially cut on my card front and layered with SU tempting turquoise cs.

I used a Sizzix dimensional cutting plate – it dies cut as normal but leaves the bit in the middle uncut allowing me to pop up the butterfly wings. Very effective.

Here is a side pic

Uniko Bright Butterflies side (640x478)

Monday saw most go back to school after the holiday break. I mixed working from home and school holidays. I didn’t get all my usually trips to zoos and parks in and had hardly any crafting time, not really sure how but 2 weeks just disappeared!

Ms 18 is on study break and in a few weeks she will have exams. Next year she is planning to transfer to another campus of the same University to do a double degree.

I don’t know about any one reading this but I feel like this year is flying by 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to stop by

Cheers

Uniko Challenge #12 + Bright Butterflies

Hello

Life has just been busy.

I took my 4 +1 to the school production – “Shout” last week. Great production.  Mr M had his name in the programme for designing the back cover which was also used on the back of the production t-shirts.

I have also been busy with the normal running training, swimming, netball and dancing trips. Mr M and Ms S have kept Mum’s taxi busy.

Any way I really wanted to make another card for the Uniko Challenge – I should just make the cut off time!

I have wanted to try this technique for a while.  I purchased the stencil material and Glitter Frosting paste a while ago and only opened them today.

Jennifer McGuire shows how to colour the paste with ink – jennifermcquireink.com post from 22nd July 2014

Before I started I die cut Uniko Bright Butterflies dies in the stencil material.

Then I mixed PTI Enchanted Evening ink and Glitter Frosting Paste (I picked this up from a craft show) on my craft sheet and added to the stencil.

After I removed the stencil

At this point I left it to dry. Not sure how long it took as I had a school meeting to attend – it was dry when I got home.

Now the finished card.

I added a little shimmer paper along the sides and added to some blue card stock.

Some ABS twine and the sentiment from Uniko Fontiments Birthday to finish.

Sorry for the poor quality photos – taken on my phone at night.

Thanks for stopping

Hope to be back soon

Edit; On our way to running training at 6.30 the following morning Ms S needed a card for a friend at school. So glad I had this one finished – it has gone with some chocolates for the friend.

Birthday Butterflies…

A little something for Miss A (8) to take to her party next week.

I have used Uniko Round in Circles stamped in SU Melon Mambo along the base of my card front. I die cut 3 butterflies using Uniko butterfly die in glitter paper. The sentiment is from Uniko Fontiments Birthday stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and punched out using SU Artisan Label Punch and layered onto scrap of pink using the same punch.

Thinking of you…

I stamped Uniko Pure Florals Chrysanthemum onto Uniko Modern Lattice digi paper with black versafine before cutting out. I made the card front by layering SBB Oatmeal cardstock and SU Naturals white cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in PTI Classic craft from Uniko Flower Power #1. The ribbon is from my stash and I added Bo Bunny gems.  I was inspired by Stacey’s card on the recent Uniko Blog hop – I haven’t mastered Stacey’s beautiful bows yet.

I liked the colours so I made this second card using Uniko Bright Butterflies die some black sequins, ABS twine and the sentiment from Bright Butterflies.

Case this

IMG_3471

I used Uniko Background builders Round in Circles and SU Lucky Limeade to stamp the background. I used three butterflies from Uniko Bright Butterflies die and stamp set stamped in SU Real Red.  The middle butterfly is stamped with WPlus9 Country Charm. The sentiment is from Uniko Pure Florals Chrysanthemum stamped in Versafine Onyx Black.

You can tell it was a bright and sunny morning when I took this pic – the butterflies popped up with foam tabs are casting a bit of a shadow!

I am linking this card up to the CAS(E) this sketch challenge this week.

Thanks for stopping.

Some new Butterflies…

Lucky enough to get some crafty time yesterday.

I was inspired by the Uniko Design Team for these cards.

IMG_3474

I used the Bright Butterflies die in one piece and die cut them all in a row. I added some Uniko digital Joyful butterflies paper behind the die cut and some Tangerine Tango co ordinating Stampin UP! cardstock. Popped up with foam tabs. I used the sentiment from Uniko Fontiments birthdays.

IMG_3472

I also used the negative space for this card again popped up with foam tabs. I also used Uniko Flower Power #1, all Occasion Sentiments #1 and Bright butterflies for this card. The ink and cardstock are also Stamin UP! in pumpkin pie. I got the sequins from a local remnant store (a mixed 285g bag) – so I think you may see some more of those too. The girls have sorted some of them into colours for me.
