More botanicals…

Hello

I am really happy how these two cards turned out.

I coloured these succulents from Kaszazz with watercolour pencils, fussy cut them and popped every second one up with foam tabs. I wish I could grow plants like this! I seem to over water them ūüė¶

This is another one of Shery’s stamps from the bloomfully collection – I couldn’t choose so I bought most of the sets! I coloured this one with alcohol markers.

I am linking this one up to the never ending challenge at Stamplorations here

Until next time

Cheers

Time for a challenge or two…

Hello

I have had a crafty week! I spent yesterday at the very first Altenew Workshop in Australia with the lovely Tasnim (and her family) and Therese from lostinpaper. I got to meet the lovely warm and extremely friendly Therese in person after years of talking through forums and blogs.¬† I also meet in person the lovely Aileen from colourandsparkle for the first time and loads of other crafty people.¬† I’ll share more in a later post as the sets we used have not been released yet. Yes I have decided my cards are blog worthy after all.

Anyway on with what else I have been creating.  I received some new sets last week and inked them up straight away Рa rare thing indeed!

I have also made a conscience decision to make the NBUS pile on my desk extinct! The first cards are from my NBUS stash.  I do shop at times faster than I can create РI know I am not alone here!

My first card is using Concord and 9th Happy Day set which I have had for a while I teamed this with sentiments from Your next Stamp What not sentiments 4.  I made two cards using this set.  The first I coloured with watercolour pencils and added highlights with markers and the second I coloured with alcohol markers.

The first one I am entering into the challenge at Double D here and Bizzy Bec’s anything goes here.

and the second card using alcohol markers.  I fussy cut the main image and popped up with foam tabs.

My parcel was from Jane’s Doodles.¬† Jane had generously offered a free mini cupcake stamp set with orders on the recent International Women’s day.¬† Here it is coloured with alcohol markers and a sentiment from Jane’s Birthday Wishes set.

I also inked up Jane’s Doodles Magnolia and Mother’s Day sets.

and my last card for today is a request.  For sometime now I have been making cards for mum I know who gives her daughter chick themed cards.  This one is for easter and uses SU Honeycomb Happiness and ABS Easter Chickadee coloured with watercolour pencils and markers.

I commend you for getting to the end of this post! Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time

Lil Michelle flying some balloons…

Hello

I thought it was time this little lady had some inky love.

Today’s card I am linking up to the following challenges

The 30 day colouring challenge here

The paper players here

Scrapbook boutique mood board here

Here is my card

ABS Lil Michelle (530x640)

I started by stamping my image from ABS Lil Michelle.  I masked the teddy so Michelle could hold some balloons.  I did momentarily think of stamp surgery but decided against it and went with the mask. I then coloured her using my water colour paints and pencils.  I coloured her skin with a water based marker.  I then added all the mounts to the card front and the die cut gold balloons using PTI heart-2-heart #2 from unknown cardstock.  I finished by hand drawing the balloon strings with a fine liner and adding black twine to the balloon ends.

This card is off to a family friend’s birthday party at Inflatable World over the weekend.

Thanks for stopping

Cheers

Edit – I just realised I have entered more than 3 challenges which excludes my entry to SBB. I must remember next time! ūüôā

Hello

I have found 10 minutes to link these up.

Mr 17 is studying for his exams which means trying to keep things quiet Рnot easy when he has 3 sisters! Little Ms 10 has been keeping me busy with her activities and the school art show. Some lovely work. It is coming to the busy time of the year. My second part time job is an enrolment officer for a local preschool so at this time of year there is lots to do and lots of anxious mums and dads.

I took my inspiration from the chocolate cupcakes and the lovely pastel colours.

IMG_6785 (640x624)

Perfect for my brand new NBUS from SBB Mama Elephant Carnival Cupcakes and co ordinating dies. I stamped the cupcake bottoms with SU Baked Brown Sugar ink and  coloured the cupcake icing with stampin up and tim holtz markers. I stamped the cute animals onto xpress blending card stock and coloured with various brands of alcohol markers and then die cut. The card front was mounted onto SU pink Pirouette Cardstock and then the little animals were popped up with foam tape.

IMG_6787 (640x383)

This card is off to a party with Ms 15 tonight.

My second card

I am linking up to the current challenge at Uniko – anything goes

IMG_6790 (640x594)

I recently purchased several new watercolour pencils and¬†paints – a little indulgence from a recent shopping trip to Geelong art supply shops and online. This little guy from Annabelle Stamps is fun to colour and he hasn’t had much love lately. So I paired him up with a NBUS Uniko Strike a Pose stamp set stamped in SU Night of Navy ink onto watercolour paper. I stamped lil monster¬†in stazon brown ink after masking off the sides and coloured with Intense pencils and Royal Langnickel watercolour pencils. I mounted this onto some real red cardstock. He needed a little sentiment so I used some scrap bits of yellow cardstock and stamped with SU Banner Blast in SU Night of Navy ink and punched with the co ordinating punch.

School holidays now and I have lots planned to do.

Thanks for stopping.

Cheers

Vicki

Edit: I am also linking up to the 30day colouring challenge at the Daily Marker here

The stars were cut with X Cut Star Nesting dies using MME Lime twist DSP and cardstock from my stash. Buttons from AnnaBelle Stamps and We R Memory Keepers Orange Twine. The tag is from SU Sizzlits Lots of Tags Label 1 and SU Little Princess sentiment.
