Hello Everyone

I hope everyone has had a lovely Easter Break.

Today I am a Guest at Inspired by Stamping

I started with a card blank from Kaisercraft. I randomly stamped the IBS Springtime Beauty II images in PTI Lavender Moon and SU So Saffron onto SU Whisper White CS.

I coloured the leaf image with SU Gumball Green marker and stamped randomly. I added this to SU So Saffron cardstock with a strip across the bottom edge along with WRMK twine. All popped up with some foam tabs. The sentiment is stamped in Versafine Onyx black. I finished by adding White Opal liquid pearls and mauve pearls.

Susi’s Birthday + Rudolf…

It is my walking, book club friends birthday this week.

Happy Birthday Susi

IMG_3983

and the back

IMG_3984

I used her favourite colour orange (SU Pumpkin Pie) along with some SU patterned paper. The image is from Papersmooches woofers and twitters coloured just like her dog Zander.  The rest of the front of the card is embellished with SU Label Love and Pretty Petites and the co ordinating punches. On the back I used a Dienamics tag die and also a PTI birthday word die and stamped the “happy” from PTI Communique Curves in SU smoky slate. The stamps on the back are I think See D’s – sorry I don’t have any packaging for those. These stamps represent some of Susi’s other favourite things.  The button is from Annabelle Stamps threaded with some ribbon from Kaszazz. I also stamped 2 stacks of books from Papersmooches smarty pants, coloured and attached to the top of 2 of the blocks. I put a little glossy accents on the books and “Zander’s” bow tie. This didn’t come together how I had imagined it would, I hope she likes it.

I followed this you tube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4H6Kveu0ctc for a block card

I also have a little bit more Christmas

This is my take on the current challenge at the Lollipop Ladies.

Challenge #81 Reindeer cupcakes + Grids

IMG_3969

I have used a MFT Dienamics Traditional tags Stax (3rd largest) and added a piece of Pebbles Happy go Lucky cardstock and a small piece of red cardstock (unknown brand – truth is it was sitting next to my guillotine). I punched a hole in the top and threaded some WRMK red and white twine through. Rudolf (no red nose) was made using the SU owl punch and little leaves die. I drew the whites of his eyes with a gel pen. I got the inspiration for Rudolf from Jacquii McLeay http://splotchdesign.blogspot.com.au/search/label/owl%20punch

There is a second challenge also running at the Lollipop Ladies

You can enter either challenge at the moment.

Hope your week has got off to a great start.

Thanks for stopping

A pastel Christmas…

IMG_3979

I made these cards at the same time as I made the gift tags (see earlier post Chrissy tags).

I used the same inks and the stamp sets used are PTI Polka Dot Parade #9, Holiday Cheer and Communique Curves. The twine is from WRMK.

Off to the girls Dance Concert tonight. Miss A is already home – claims a tummy ache – sitting eating a pie though. I think she just wanted to come home early to do her hair. What fun I am in for when she is a little older.

I have a few more Christmas makes to share. I promise I will post something other than Christmas before to long – just in case you are in Christmas overload already.

Thanks for visiting.

Hope you have a great weekend

Cheers

Something to indulge

IMG_3513

I saw this little notebook over at lawn fawn http://lawnfawn.blogspot.com.au/2013/05/mini-journals-with-nicole.html and made a little adjustment to the measurements to convert to metric + I sewed my pages rather than stapled them. I stamped my inside (plain computer) paper (10 x 14 cm) with ABS Garden Silhouettes using SU ink. I used the inspiration from a Topic Tuesday at Stamp Embellish Create using plain accetate sheet and blue tack to hold in place while I stamped. I was inspired when I first saw the stationery stamped like this on the original post.  http://www.annabellestamps.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/topical-tuesday-61-spring-stationery-set.html

The cardstock is SU Floral District, the brad is from my stash and the twine is WeRMK yellow baker’s twine.

Some of the inside pages before I sewed them in.

Anything Goes

Thank you for all the lovely comments and tips. I don’t always reply to every individual comment, but rest assured I do read everyone and enjoy doing so. They often bring a smile or a chuckle.

Coming up for a long weekend here. A few jobs planned – a much needed trip to the hairdresser and new tyres for the car. Hopefully I will find some crafty time as there is no sport/kids activities this weekend.

Thanks for stopping – until next time

Happy Birthday – Notebook cover

IMG_3359I made this for a friend for her birthday. The pattern/inspiration is from Handmade Magazine Vol 31 Number 2 by Jemima Flendt. I varied slightly in the number of pen/pencil spots inside. It was really quick to make up and I had everything on hand. I used fabric from my stash – no idea by who or how old! The buttons are from basic grey and the orange twine is from We R Memory Keepers.

IMG_3360

My girls liked it so I suggested instead of buying gifts for their friends maybe I could make something like this next time they have a party. So you might see a few more variations here.

After a recent tidy up of my room I have found lots of things I forgot I had – need to be a bit more productive using supplies. I found fabric to make Miss A (8) pants for school – great I can cross those of the school holiday shopping list. Fabric to make Miss E (17) a handbag. YEAH. I started on a quilt for Miss S (13) – cut out the fabric and got main panel of the quilt together – will show in another post. Debating at the moment whether to put a border or not. I also found lots and lots of Unfinished projects in a very full box. It is bit embarassing – skirts/dresses from too many years ago – cut, sewn, almost finished just requiring a hem or a button! Must finish those and give to someone who can use them.

Hope the Easter Bunny found you and you had a lovely and safe Easter.

Thanks for taking a peek.

Cheers

Vicki

JAI #143

The Challenge at Just add Ink is a colour challenge this week.

I am entering this card into the challenge.

I have used mostly SU products with the exception of the twine and the border punch.

Slowly making some Chrissy cards. How is everyone else going?

Thanks for taking a peek.

Cheers

Gift card set

I made this little set of gift cards

Nice to have something on hand for a quick gift.

I used mostly SU proucts (Easy Events Stamp set, Subtles CS & Twitterpated DSP) along with circle punches. I also used We R Memory Keepers twine and glitter and jewels from my stash.

Hope your day has started well. Busy busy. My 7 year old is soooo excited that her school concert is tonight. She has got me all organised and herself. She has even done her own hair before she went to school! It needs to be in a bun. Make up out ready to go, shoes and costume all sorted. And I might add I didn’t have to ask! Now all I have to do is get her to teach her big sister!

Thanks for stopping by.

The tag is from SU Sizzlits Lots of Tags Label 1 and SU Little Princess sentiment.
