Garden Gate and Spring Blossom…

Hi Everyone.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Not a bad one here, the children had a  few good games. The  U9 Netball (Miss 8) and U16  (Mr 15) Basketball won, however the girls open team had a loss – they were up at 3/4 time – Miss 17 & Miss 13 play open Netball (same team).

I was lucky to get some new stamp sets from Flourishes by way of Moxie Fab World recently. I really like these images – they are great for colouring. I inked up the Garden Gate set and made this card.  I stamped the image onto water colour paper. I have coloured it using Stampin UP!, Tim Holtz and Marvey Le Plume markers. The cardstock is from Pebbles and I used Lifestyle Crafts circle dies. The button is from my stash with a little twine from the Twinery (blossom) added. I haven’t added a sentiment yet.

And I made a second card using Flourishes Spring Blossom same cardstock.

I used an Xcut Scallop Circle die and added a Stampin UP! Sizzix Butterfly with a little bling. I also added a little bling with clear and pink Spica pens – sorry they don’t show up in this pic. Perhaps I should have made the butterfly pink. I do like how this card came together.

I am linking these up to

and

Timeless-Tuesday-New-Logo+ scallops – there are scallops on my background paper too

Thanks for stopping and taking a peek.

Cheers

For my friend…

I have made this on behalf of our walking/book club group of friends. One of our lovely friends is having a birthday this week. We will be celebrating by going to lunch, a spot of retail therapy and discussing our latest read (Me before You – Jojo Moyne). Unfortunately our dogs will be left out this week! I am sure they will cope – although mine cries when she misses her normal walk with “her” friends. I don’t know how she knows it is dog friend walking day, but if we don’t go she sits at the back door crying. Any way I am off track. The lovely friend who I meet at playgroup with our youngest kiddos and who introduced me to the rest of the group is having a birthday this week.

One of the group has bought a joint gift and I have made this card. The dog in the cart was the most like a Jack Russel stamp I had (she has a jack russel) and my friend loves gardening. Doesn’t miss the annual flower and garden show so this was the perfect image for her.

I used a number of markers from SU, Tim Holtz, Zig and Marvy Le Plume to water colour my SU image. I sponged the edges with SU Bashful Blue before matting on to black cardstock. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from Market Street Stamps Simply Salutations stamped onto a SU Sizzlits Lots of tags label die the whole panel is popped up with foam tape. The card front is SU DSP Cheerful Treat mounted again onto black cardstock with white ribbon from my stash added before fixing to card base. The final touch is felt flowers cut with MFT rolled flower die with a pearl centre.

I am pretty sure she is going to love it.

I am going to link this up to the following challenges

and

JAI Badge 2011

Have a great day.

TCM November Sketch Challenge

I have used TCM Summertime Fun with Fibi and Lilly along with TCM Stitched Sentiments.  I used various markers to colour her in before adding to my card front. I think she is so cute.

I am linking this up to TCM Sketch Challenge.

Love the comments you leave – thanks for taking the time.

AnnaBelle Stamps Challenge – AC146 & The Stamp Spot

Before I put this set away I had to make one more tag. I have used the colours from this weeks challenge at AnnaBelle Stamps

and as it is a tag, I am also going to link it upto The Stamp Spots monthly challenge

http://thestampspot.blogspot.com.au/

I have used The Alley Way Stamp set – Priceless Joy coloured with Zig Brushables (English Lavender – closest I had to lilac!), Zig – Silver, Marvy Le Plume (Silver Grey & Black), SU (Not Quite Navy) and Spica clear.

This will come in handy in the next few weeks – the lead upto Christmas is also Birthday time.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers
