A finished Hotyka!

Hello

How are you going? We have had gorgeous sunshine this week. I managed to spend some time in my vegetable garden preping for tomatoes and sowing some spring onions and beetroot seeds and planting some cabbages. I have some little mini greenhouses which I am rather impatiently watching for little green shots too!

Anyway today I am sharing my finished Hotyka. After a few false starts with this yarn I found a project that I had enough yarn for and I will wear.

I had a beautiful merino/cashmere/nylon yarn from Loyley Yarn which I had bought with a particular project in mind, began that and didn’t like it! So I had to go on a pattern search.

You can find a link to the pattern on my Ravelry page herehttps://www.ravelry.com/projects/VickiAA/hotyka

So happy with the result. I wet blocked into shape. The lace is so much more prominent after blocking.
I have also been spending a fair amount of time in my craft room sewing. I have managed to fill 2 rather decent sized boxes with makes for the charity DFG (Days for Girls) to pass on to those in need, raffle or sell when we can do all those things again! I have made more summer quilts, table runners, burp clothes, tote bags and a few reusable make up wipes. All the fabric is pieces which can not be used in kits or is from the scrap box. So grateful the big shot could die cut flannel scraps.
